Same Haha I feel bad for not fishing with Kieran knowing he gets his eyes cut out and his head chopped off by the o'Driscoll gang. Seeing that in the video kinda makes you feel bad lol
@2:01 its to do with the Ka-Bar name story. Not the revenant, it's widely believed that the name came when owner Wallace Brown received a testimonial letter from a fur trapper. The letter recounted how the fur trapper had killed a wounded bear with the knife after his rifle had jammed. Because the letter was only partially legible, it was difficult to decipher the meaning. However, 'ka-bar' appeared in the letter, which is a fragment of the phrase 'kill a bear.' Since the story was so captivating, the company began marking 'KA-BAR'
I like to think the "Bear attack" is also a nod to the 2011 film "Hobo with a Shotgun" from the quote: " If a bear's claw would ever strike your face, it would take your whole face right off your skull - your eyes, your nose, your lips, everything - and you would die from it."
There's actually a good few knives out there. one i'm interested in is on a corpse in a cave. its like the corpse of a black man I think and its up in the strawberry area I think.. its like a double edged knife or something. Honestly either doing another vid with that or maybe the cat skull might be fun.
I did found most of these secrets by playing the game slowly! First time I wanted to know the story and missed out on many things. But after I played again, between each mission I am now wondering for days around, even weeks looking for details. The map is HUGE! I suggest to everyone to play very slow, look around, trigger side missions with questions mark. Give to yourself even months to complete a chapter. EDIT: I also do lots of hunting, searching for treasure and smoking hell of premium cigarettes, very good rewards there on cigarette cards.
Hey, if you press start and go to the progress tab, then go to full progress, and see the description of missions, it will be written: ¨Every journey has a beginning and an end. Complete all missions and take the Dutch Van der Linde story to its NATURAL CONCLUSION¨ Why is that so? Does the story have an unnatural end? Maybe if you wait for Micah’s execution to happen, he dies sooner, or if you wait for Thomas Downes to die, you don’t get Tuberculosis, maybe the key to a better ending is patience, but probably not, there’s a lot of crazy around that he must have searched the game files and found nothing outside the script, but who knows? Worth trying.I have a theory that, in one of the videos, Strange Man (The TH-camr) said that you could visit the desert like Arthur in the game, but later this feature was excluded! And there is also that black flower that you cannot collect! My theory is that if you went to that flower like Arthur, and used it, it would be an antibiotic against any disease in the game for a long period of time or even permanently! Including his tuberculosis! If you are still going to get it, you will be immune, but if you already got it, you will heal! But I can't confirm this theory, unfortunately. (The description is only like this if you have completed the story, and I don't know if it is in English, because I am in the Brazilian Portuguese language, because I am Brazilian, Duh!)
It took me close to a year of near daily playing to finish the games main story. Why?, well I explored every nook, canny and side quest I could find along the way.. and yet, I still find elements such as those featured in this vid that somehow eluded me. This game is such a work of art.
And here I thought Dutch wasn't always this bad, but the note kinda makes me suspect he was playing everyone as a fool from the start. No one who really cared about their people that died would write things like "PAUSE" and "etc." in their paper.
Even the most charming of speakers right notes like that for speeches. Maybe Dutch just wanted to manipulate those folk into foolishly following him with pretty words or maybe he wanted raise morale in a more scripted way and day exactly what he feels. Sure, it gets rid of the authenticity of his firey speeches but he is still as charming as ever. Im sure he could have made a speech without writing anything down like in the beginning of the game when the gang was a Colter. Again, it's the things like these that made Dutch so complex. Did he just use the sad people in his gang or did he truly think of them as a tight knit family that would kill and die for each other?
The amount of details from the biggest to the smallest is insane! No other game developer goes to these lengths to create such a believable world in a video game!
yes rockstar should pay some random youtuber who has access to some random editing software instead of people who actually make a living of it, know how to do it professionally, and have professional editing software
I remember when I've found Dutch's note. Read it, and hear later the oral version. Very hilarous, he reduces his notes to some strong cool words he found but lost the strengh impact and the elegance he would kept from his note. And the "PAUSE" in his note... no comment. x")

I just finished the whole game like 2 days ago I’m restarting the game with good honor I like to play to ways want to see how will they treat you with good honor
I want to know about the fertility statues, meaning and use, please mr Strange man
It's pretty self explanatory, they're for fertility. They exist in real life as well.
@@bashfulwolfo6499 but there are some use in the game?
@@jairocolombo4410 Yes, they make Beecher's Hope farmable.
@@azazel166 wait how
@@jeffreeepstein1175 They magically make the soil fertile and it means that John can farm things other than rocks.
My fiancé and I have been binge watching and discussing your videos in depth since last night. We love your channel!!!
Bill would’ve been quite jealous of that fishing trip with Kieran. ;)
Love how his speech notes are different from the actual speech adds to the realism since no one memories there notes word for word
Thank you for all of your hard work over the years in the name of deviant video gamers finding digital gratification! Youre a true martyr my friend! We truly appreciate your unique steadfast for mysteries in this game!
Thank you so much for the work you put into your content! I can't thank you enough.
"Fellers naked as a jaybird."
"Is that why you like this spot?"
I missed out on this glorious burn seeing how I never wanted to fish 😂
Same Haha I feel bad for not fishing with Kieran knowing he gets his eyes cut out and his head chopped off by the o'Driscoll gang. Seeing that in the video kinda makes you feel bad lol
How is that a burn?
@@jimmybalzac6021 Implying he only knows that spot because of naked men swimming around seems like a decent burn back in 1899
@@KiwisCovers2112 How?

The backstory to the flower is pretty sweet, I too have always wondered about its origins.

Just finished playing a session of Red Dead and I've been binge watching your videos recently, thank you for the upload!
The bear attack could also be from the ending of Legends of the Fall
The way you present each secret is really well done and I respect you for that my good sir.
4:39 Kieran: Feller is naked as a jaybird!
Arthur: Is that why you like this spot? 😆
This my favorite RDR2 channel, so much work and effort into videos, plzzzz don’t ever stop making RDR2 videos 🙏🔥
@2:01 its to do with the Ka-Bar name story. Not the revenant,
it's widely believed that the name came when owner Wallace Brown received a testimonial letter from a fur trapper. The letter recounted how the fur trapper had killed a wounded bear with the knife after his rifle had jammed. Because the letter was only partially legible, it was difficult to decipher the meaning. However, 'ka-bar' appeared in the letter, which is a fragment of the phrase 'kill a bear.'
Since the story was so captivating, the company began marking 'KA-BAR'
Still amazing content as always Strange man.
Red dead redemption 2, the game in which a flower has a backstory. Love it
Strange Man, you have 100% the game right? Just wondering, would seem wrong if you haven’t.
a 100% game isn't actually a 100% game, it basically goes to like 125% if you count every little thing you can find including journal entries
no-one has yet got 100% as the 3rd meteorite location not found and the missing princess still missing i am close 96%
@@donaldbrown4256 wait, fr? I thought they scratched the princess thing and just left the poster in game??
System-wise, its obvious u can get 100%, but everything u can do in the game... never ends
@@boomboxlamb8791 From what I have seen she is in the game, I think she might have been found accordinh to some videos, but its not a mission
So nobody wants to talk about arthur'son? Hey strange man of the bayoo's hut, can you spend us your widsom about arhtur'son please?
He has told about Isaac in the past
Been there done that man
1:07 wow dutch outsmarted a guard and owned him.
I love how dutch improvises his speech like you would do in real life
This Is The Way
Staring at wanted poster
"When are we eatin pearson?!?!"
"It'll be ready when its ready"
Ur dedication to this game is phenomenal
Love your content man have a great day!
Bro you’re something else 🔥
These Red Dead Redemption 2 videos are the best thing to watch on Sunday.
Kieran: Arthur are you seeing this? Fellar is as naked as a jaybird

They are fertility statues, meaning that they are lucky charms for fertile soil and fertile wombs.
His content is like Rockstar itself is explaining it.
Btw loved your content since you had less than 10k subs...
A strange man video that provides me with no new information about the game? Jesus, I must have been playing far too much.
This channel is sooo underrated! These videos are so well made!❤️
Also how many things we still don't about this game ?🔥❤️
168k followers ... not that underrated
It took me close to a year of near daily playing to finish the games main story. Why?, well I explored every nook, canny and side quest I could find along the way.. and yet, I still find elements such as those featured in this vid that somehow eluded me. This game is such a work of art.
“That’s beautiful Dutch, you always were a fine speaker.”
6:22
4:49 the synchronized swimming and the music is so funny
this is the first time in my life I've been this early
The background music during Dutch speech made it very inspiring.
And here I thought Dutch wasn't always this bad, but the note kinda makes me suspect he was playing everyone as a fool from the start. No one who really cared about their people that died would write things like "PAUSE" and "etc." in their paper.
Dutch was a guy that give nice speeches but in end he just consider everybody a fool
Thanks I always wondered bout Arthur's flower
Heck yeah! Love the vids. Can't wait for voice over videos in the future?
The bear attack could also be a reference to Hell on Wheels when Elam kills the bear with his knife. Great video!
5:59
Idk why, but that made me upset. How long has he been playing his crew for fools?
Before I watch the Video, I give it a thumbs up. I mean we all know that Its gonna be great.
Alright I‘ll catch you later then.
Found this channel like 4 days ago and I can’t stop watching it
YES! New Strange Man vid, best moment of any sunday.
Dutch's speech is so epic with the backround music.
Your editing is soo cool and calming. Rdr2 developers should pay you honestly to make their trailers

Hello there young padowan
Ultra secret
I remember when I've found Dutch's note. Read it, and hear later the oral version. Very hilarous, he reduces his notes to some strong cool words he found but lost the strengh impact and the elegance he would kept from his note. And the "PAUSE" in his note... no comment. x")
This man is not stranger to the game. He is a cybernetic the man is on another level. Respect 💯
