the changing tree message is a perfect example of the kind of secrets you'd never see if it wasn't for this channel.
I actually noticed it myself on my first playthrough ahah the message itself isn't really a mystery because if you run away from the cops during your night out with lenny, arthur will wake up hungover right next to that tree, then I just happened to pass by that spot again later as john and found the second part. the cutscene one was the most impressive and well hidden for me
@@knurdyob There are probably more hidden cutscenes just like that one, this game never stops to amaze me. I wish they added even more to the single-player mode

Your comment made me think a bit and I'm thinking that "secret" scene might still trigger after approaching them, but just if you shoot the guy instead of fighting. So it would still happen because you resorted to guns instead of fists, even if you skipped the initial dialogue.
More mysteries I didn't know about? Oh, my God, there's a lot of them in this game.

In the swamp, under one of the bridges there is a pirate treasure chest as well as a skeleton. If there is an explanation, I would love to see a video on it.

@@FireBallZ24Gaming Yeah. Ive had the beggar twice,and ive had the fame seeker once. Did it with a friend, had a fake fame seeker steal my horse once too. But that is it. No other unique thing or huge variety like in story mode. The world in online just seems dead at least to me.
Charles is my favourite. The way he took down the shady camper he fought but also the way he bowed respectfully after Arthur killed him in the other encounter. Just perfect.

the secret cutscene makes me wonder what goes through the dev's mind. in most missions you step one foot away from intended path and they slap you with a mission fail scene but here you get a whole different cutscene. it's cool and wish R* would introduce many other varieties

Their Expedition's boats, however, were MUCH larger than that. More like bateaus that could carry men and gear. But I do appreciate that R* put an indigenous canoe in the game.

Never stop man, your videos are top tier. RDR 2 is my favorite game of all time and you keep bringing me back to playing it with Arthur and John. Love both characters, both are legendary and badass in their own right. Keep doing what you're doing and never stop! I am looking forward to a PS5 remastered version of the game. I have autographs of the three major characters (Roger, Rob, and Benjamin) and could never be happier. If Rockstar can remaster the game for PS5 they are sitting on a literal gold mine... take all my money.

I think that cutscene is mean to be fpr those players who play as a "Bad Arthur" and start shooting before making the questions, so maybe it have sense that cutscene exist.

Honestly, there's a great internal struggle for me to watch your videos since I still haven't even completed the story. On one hand, the insight you provide, on top of the editing, research, recording and direction, makes for great content that helps deepen my appreciation for this game and the work put into it. On the other, stumbling across these secret references and mysteries on my own is an experience that's really hard to come by, at least from the games that I've played before this.
Agreed, but you would never find all this stuff alone. This game is so deep it takes the internet to find out all. I found the first Dreamcatcher myself, but you would never find all the other ones by yourself, nor the dinosaur bones, etc.
I use this sort of info to point me to the right location
Your content has answered so many of the questions I had while playing the game (mysteries, character backstories etc) that contributed to a much fuller experience of gameplay, thank you!!
The problem with the secret cutscene is that most players would never dare try something so risky during this game’s mission’s, as it would usually result in a “MISSION FAILED”

Bruhh, I always tried to make it failed at each checkpoint trying to see what the game has to offer. Like in Red Dead Redemption mission, when you fight Micah on the mountain, each fight sequence has a unique failed cutscene.

I actually found the love carving myself when I played the game. If you successfully run away from the police in the mission where Arthur gets drunk with Lenny, Arthur wakes up near the carved tree.

I wonder how many other secret cutscenes there are...
It's not exactly a "secret" cutscene. It's an alternate cutscene for continuity in the mission rather than having the mission fail and having to restart it cuz Arthur shoots em from a distance. So before he can shoot the 2nd guy, this abrupt cutscene plays out so the mission continues. Not that big a deal honestly.

Although it is an alternate cutscene, it's still considered a secret as not many people knew about it since the game only tells you to approach the guys.

I found the lovers writing on the tree after the mission when Arthur runs from the cops and wakes up far from Valentine. I'll was near. But I never noticed or knew there was another hidden cuisine for finding trewlany I guess that is my fave one. Nice video.

I was thinking flood or they were going to add tornados but decided not too if you're on mount shann during heavy storms you can see funnel clouds in the distance plus the crazy winds would explain the plan and the fact that there was a crazy bug where things just flew in the sky i never seen it but i seen plenty of fail videos that had it

I'm exclusively using the trunk canoe for fishing. That shit is so cool. Also, I'm gonna start trying to play through the game looking for any chances for more secret cutscenes, bc that Trelawny mission's hidden one was really awesome.
The tree canoe is called a dugout canoe. It was one of the original ways settlers made canoes. They'd use an axe and such to cave it out and then burn the inside to seal it.

I was Googling that the other day - from what I've seen online most people are saying it's simply a map glitch that never got fixed. It's supposed to be for the Fort Wallace area where you are wanted but it has glitched and shows it near that monk guy aswell
