When Nascar was at it is pinnacle, miss this era of racing. That 98 car was bad ass fast that day. Miss this era of racing. Bring back those body styles and you will some great racing!!!!
John was my favorite driver right behind Jeff Gordon. Missed the opportunity to meet him when I to the Brickyard 400 in 2004, and have always regretted it even more so after he passed away on January 30, 2020.

Two things right off the bat I love about this. I loved the old 10 AM starts in July. Now, Daytona at night is cool as well. The best thing though is how the cars are on the track just a few minutes into the broadcast. No wasted time. Get to the racing!
I remember watching the 98 brickyard as a kid😂 the best part explaining to my ASE mechanic dad "Dad, when the guys turn the wheel, the tires hardly move" 😂😂

For me it was Richmond Indy race , can’t remember the year. Went to all but maybe 4 races when they came .

I was there and the only one cheering for John (I am a HUGE Cale Yarborough fan) in our area. People were looking at me like I was crazy. Great race!

No, I think it was in 1998 that this race got postponed to the fall because of the wildfires in Florida during the summer.
