Making Real-time hair is fun! Anyone out there that's feeling intimidated by learning it / trying it out, come join my discord and ask for any further tips and help
As a blender user I learned quite a lot in this tutorial. Thanks for that. Though i have troubles translating and rotating the pair of planes like you easily do in 7:30. It always intersect eachother despite having the same size and polygon count.
im new to the channel and i dont know if you do this dynamic , but doing a talk with someone then explaining the process of how to create the asset to the apply it to a model was very interesting and id it was enjoyable to watch because you get the background the what to do for those assets and then how to use it
man your tutorial was good !!! .. i always watched any tutorial it always gives anxiety and things looks tough and they use x no. of different things and it becomes boring to watch , But your tutorial was interesting and use simple method no extra plugin thing and it looks like i can also create this . i watched entire video !!
thank you so much for this! There's probably a simple answer for this but I'm still very new to realtime hair creation but what's the difference between stacking the different cards vs making fewer with a depth map for example. I suppose you can get more variety and control over the look of the groom at the cost of some extra polys?? Really enjoyed your delivery of the tutorial though it made it seem less daunting to a beginner :D
Hey, i hope you dont mind me asking again but is it possible to animate this kind of hair? All the planes are so close together they will intersect eachother heavily.
Nice, I hate making game hair using hair cards, prefer to use Xgen instead, i did make a tutorial how to set up the cards using deformers so it makes it easier, it's on my channel.

You nailed it on the head yeah! Creating a clump of cards, the biggest thing is it gives you more volume from different angles!
