Next video, ''Sending a 500 gram rocket into another galaxy and back''
That's quite real actually, if you build accelerator like lhc on orbit
maneur over black hole and back :D
+Haill G With a kerbal inside!
Easy! Mass Relay comin' your way!
I meant Ultra Mass Relay comin' your way!
"I'm just going to climb inside this trashcan and fly to Gilly. No big deal." Meanwhile I'm still afraid to fly beyond Minmus without twice as much delta v as I need.
I thought I was the only one.
Jacob Marsh *that moment when your low solar orbit science probe makes the people above you look like noobs*
TrinityForceOne i onc3 got Jeb stuck on Minmus
I will literally tab out and find something to do to procrastinate for a couple days because I'm *that* afraid of something going wrong on a Duna mission
Same...
That trip, was extremely well planned out, i mean holy shit that is clever!
*****
Well are you a pessimist or a realist? Because you just ruined the good part of the video.
*****
better
One tiny little mistake, and that Kerbal would float in space forewer :o
that's what my friends say when i give them some of my modified crack
+Cloudy
The objective is to use as little delta v as possible, not time. Time doesn't matter in KSP.
A representative from Kerbal Space Ethics Committee and Kerbal Astronaut Union wants to speak to you.
Pff, prepare the "failed rocket launch"
Launch!!!
"Destruction subroutine detected"
Initiate missile trajectory, kernel government"
+Matt Malenda kerbal"
Myles1316 Yes, we would like to tell you that your latest space craft was deemed too comfortable, and had an extremely low probability of spontaneous explosion, below the legal level.
The Kerbals have an ethics committee? They are really, really bad at their jobs... The Astronaut Union doesn't seem to have much clout either.
Myles1316 The Craft is unmanned
I hate this TH-camr just out of jealousy of his talent to do this amazing crafts.
I mean, you so good it's actually an overkill.
Scott Manley mode: activated.
Better than Scott Manley in full throttle.
Thank god you didn't land next to the KSC, I like keeping my brain from exploding.
What if he landed back on the launchpad?
Black Hole ohh my god you would have to do away with te digusting brain-spray!
I would just scream HAAAAAAAX!!!!
his hatch braking system is'nt wirking on the ksc, he must land on procedural landscape
What if I told you....
He landed back on KSC, when he did an mission to Eve and back, or was it Duna? lol can't remember, or maybe Minmus...
Now this, is an economic space program.
Good job, Turbo Pumped.
thanks ! : )
It impressed me alone with the fact you got out of the atmosphere. Then into orbit. Then out of Kerbin's SOI. Then to Gilly. Then landing. Then coming back. *wow*
Okay... so you won KSP
Hey tape I did know I would see you here? Ps sorry your in like 7th place in KSP youtubers
Step up your game
+TAPE Gaming Hi Tape. How's the War on Penguin, Twitchy, and Agonarch going? Also, yes, they won KSP.
OR DID HE???
TAPE Gaming No.
Have You SEEN His Eeloo Video?
What is this? A rocket for ants?!
No it's a rocket for gilly
+FUNKYBULL SHRIMP you silly billy....
+Hippasus of Metapontum YOUR A SILKY BILLY ON GILLY WHO LIKES CRILL...Y
+FUNKYBULL SHRIMP *SILLY
FUNKYBULL SHRIMP Nah man! Silky is fine, I am silky. And silly... Not billy tho.
I got a rocket into space with out it blowing up once.
dude, make yt videos
Lee'd haha, nice one
Yaaay me too but now Jebediah has no fuel to come back :(
(applause)
joe kickass I wish I could do that
You're a monster! She isn't enjoying the Eve rise! The bay doors aren't even open!
You see, Kerbal engineers drilled a couple of holes Hilbella can peek out of .
+Turbo Pumped Inefficient oxygen use
+Turbo Pumped DANSE MACABRE ISNT BYE KEVIN MACLEOD YOU IMBECILE! (the version you used is just his "cover", the original is by Camille Saint-Saëns,)
sorry for h8 m8, im just a classical music nerd
Pacific - Vlogs and Gaming Stuff! Exactly, chill.
+Turbo Pumped teach me sensay
Danny2462 needs to see that invention at the end
+Aidan Brown Funny thing is I think the real-world MOOSE system used the same basic idea!
+jadegecko I was thinking that when I saw it!
"Who needs parachutes?"
the only problem is the instant 20 G when he land XD
BUILDING AN ENTIRE PLANET AND LANDING IT ON GILLY
Holy shit. I can't even land a fucking stock aircraft. Well done.
+Cedrick Corrales Aircraft ARE more difficult to fly than rockets.
Anvilshock well, they're stock. :I
it's sad
+Cedrick Corrales i try slow down to 80 meters per sec then land near a flat area if not just put a decoupler for the thing um pod and radial chutes fuckin tired tying ths hard
+Cedrick Corrales i landed a jet at 180m/s lol, my sink rate was 30m/min
PremiumGamerTV // PGTV i landed a craft at 563m/s
Next video "0.5 Ton SSTO to Eeloo,Moho and back"
(Stupid Thing I Changed Hahahahaha)
SSTO jet pack to alternate universe and back
***** It's A Hobby That I Have :D And Yea I Did Not Get The Joke Hahahahaha
Telling People What You Find Cancerous Makes Them Want To Annoy You More.
cApitalizing tHe sEcond lEtter iS eVen bEtter
*finishes video
That's enough KSP for one day....
*closes laptop and goes outside
+Nathan Donnelly HAHA! OUTSIDE?!?! WHAT IS OUTSIDE?!?!
It's that thing I try to land my Kerbals on, but I fail miserably...
Nathan Donnelly only to have this craft land at your feet.
LOL. "I need to get away from everything KSP." [Goes outside, looks at the sky] "DANGIT"
Hahaha
Nice joke
Now this is a nice video! Great job :)
You guys amazes me
+Hazard-ish
The awesomeness here has been doubled
+Hazard-ish HEY BIG FAN KEEP ON DOING WHAT WE LIKE
Haha, thanks! Rest assured, I've got some good videos coming shortly (hopefully!).
+Hazard-ish You and this guy freaking hack ksp on a regular basis. I love your videos.
I got off the launchpad using a mere 4 mammoth-class engines on a 620 tonne rocket. I made it 4000m up when it flipped over and tore apart. BEAT THAT!
+CrimsonGamer99 I have my Jupiter class 1500 tonne rocket, it didnt even get off the launch pad before exploding! HA!
I have a 2 stage launch vehicle that can get a 250 ton payload to low orbit :P Only explodes 20% of the time, too!
+Lillian Winter lol. Saturn V heavy. Fully reusable , aside from the third stage.
i can make it to laythe with a 1 ton spacecraft without any refueling and takes only 3 minutes!!! (with hyperedit)
And in 0.9 I made a craft (with physicsless parts) that could manage like 3k G acceleration... then the game crashed...
LOL boulder pretend to be a moon I laughed way harder than I should...
It's the same thing with Mars' moons, they're both captured asteroids.
Starfleet2360 duh
Links to the calculators and theories/guides you used -- or a "How to do maths" tutorial -- would be an excellent and much appreciated companion to this achievement demonstrator.
+ArchaicAlibi I am commenting here so that when you find out, I also find out.
+Erik the God Eating Penguin Same here!
Rory Allen lol, I see what you did there. You hit two birds with one stone.
What I would use:
Mechjeb, Kerbal Engineer Redux, some kind of window planner, and my Casio fx-9750GII Graphics Calculator ($35 Ti84, essentially)
Cordell Kelley that took only
One year
'Or Hillebra needs to get out and push!' Good old push trick xD
* Hilbella
*Heelbola
I died of laughter when you typed "Boulder pretending to be a moon" on the flag xD
it is a potato pretending to be a moon
+Alex Maiorov Is no potato
is only hallucination from malnourish
such is life
Or is it a moon pretending to be a potato O.o
+Alex Siemers It's a natural sattelite all right.
Yeah i am a moon. Why would you think i was a potato?
You are a efficiency badass man!!!
The last part got me
"multiple passes not only increases efficiency but it also means greater precision" - ALWAYS wondered why people did this, thanks!
anyway my main question... if i attached a large enough rocket to gilly, (landed a huge rocket upside down) could i thrust to alter it's orbit or even create an escape orbit of gilly from it's home planet?
Melon Of The Higher Cosmos
ah what a shame! well thanks for letting me know. at some point i would probably have tried the same!
Melon Of The Higher Cosmos
yeah.. there's mods for everything... i was watching a video someone made of battleships on the sea near the kerbin space centre, using proper missiles and stuff, i read in the description of all the mods he used for it!
Melon Of The Higher Cosmos
gah i didn't get the name of the uploader sorry
Love it! I wish you made more videos, you no doubt have some of the most interesting KSP vids on TH-cam.
Thanks ! I will try to make videos more often.
Holy shit the accuracy
I didn't realize there was a kerbal in there until he came out, lol. But this was amazing. You should work for NASA.
+Masked Lapis
if he worked for NASA, astronauts would die because of oxygen depletion. no one let him join manned flight division. only probes
(he will find a way to amaze us)
***** this means you would finally have time to read all the stuff you needed for school and college (probably not enough, but still good, right?)
*****
good night
sleep tight
don`t let the dead bite
My brain has melted at the insanity of your precision.
Poor little Kerbal! So many years alone in a tin can! Amazing, as always, how you make this even possible.
Next up : *Sending a 6 microgram spaceplane to another galaxy and back*
The little kerbal is so so sad:(... How could you put him in a coffin like cargo bay for 10 years...!
+Tony Yau it's a probe
+Ray It ain't
Elsa Ocegueda oops ! sorry, you're right ^^
+Ray lol it's ok
they unlike the human race can hibernate indefinitely without food or water
Even though I use the more standard and straightforward rocket designs, I've learned a lot by watching your videos, recently landed on Duna and Gilly with probes, and actually got a manned mission to Ike and back, after feeling bursts of inspiration from your videos. Keep up the good work! Landed on Gilly yesterday, my probe bouncing off its surface 3 or 4 times, then annoyingly sliding along before coming to rest.
This is absolutely incredible. All of your videos are, actually. I honestly don't understand why you only have 4k subs. You deserve many more, sir.
damm he's milking the delta v
better than keemstar
?
this time it's not for money, but for SCIENCE!
:O Wha-
Could you do a fast-ish mission to another solar system?
Your skills likely exceed Scott Manley.
Also congrats on 3,999 subs :D
star sistem solar is just the one that we live
I love you your way of doing things and how you give a little explanation of what your doing. Great work, keep it up. You definitely eared yourself a subscriber!!!
Thanks , glad you find it useful !
You're a mad man. I just spent the last day and a half building a lander/ rocket combo that failed to enter the atmosphere and you did it with something that I could fit in my living room
How.
nasa monitors good players like this for ideas
Not sure if they'd put someone in a pod for 10 years.
Favorited and subbed, best KSP vid I have seen in a while
Amazing!!! The most fantastic part is the exact fuel usage!!!!
OMG.
I mean... OMG.
How many TRIES and TIME does it take to you to finally get the exact and more efficient craft for this kind of videos?
Waiting for more!
Hahahaha, that end land. Nice.
One of the most well planned out, and perfectly executed flights i've seen in ksp. Bravo my friend, you beat KSP
Beautiful work - Saint-Saëns and KSP not something I ever expected to see together!!
*You feel your rockets climbing on your back
lol xD
YAY, MORE TRASH!!!!!
Welcome to the pile
+D3vitron Undertale trash do you wanna to had a bad time?
cancer
1:28 If I understand correctly, all of that was just to fix the inclination of the craft's Eve orbit?
It was done to get both the right inclination and direction compared to Gillys orbit (you want the Gilly encounter to be at the highest point of its orbit)
This way I could get both for only 10 m/s .
Turbo Pumped Wow, you aligned the apoapsis too? I didn't even notice. That is incredible!
Why are you still around? Didn't you hear? SpaceX called, they need an engineer.
Getting to mars on a budget? 6 year travel time you mummy!
First good Minecraft profile pic I've seen in a long time!
Oh my lord, exactly 4k subs! Good job man! I absolutely loved this video! I can't imagine myself doing this even with 3 years of rocket science school!
The wonders of mathematics... Well done sir!
Oh. Em. Wow. Well at least there is no hunger in KSP
+Mamlas Kitty Cat yeah lol, there are mods that add life support systems, though, to add more realism to the game, just don't expect to make a 3 ton rocket with enough food for 6 years :)
Rob Lamb Yea
+Rob Lamb Enough food for 6 years would weigh more than the rocket itself xD
***** that was my point :)
So Poland can achieve Space Agency :D
+Shiroi Neko poland can into space nao!
poland does have space agency, although it is for milking money out of taxes
Insperational. Absolutely love these minimalist videos.
Awesome job! This is a super amazing feat!
Go home KSP you are drunk.
do a space station on gilly so low that to get to it you only need a Eva jetpack
+Jacob Marsh you could nearly jump and get to it 🤓
Quite a nice show, I love this design and the planning. 10/10 best rocket for gilly
danse macabre in the background made it so intense
....... I don't even....???....how....???.....wtf!?..... :'-( ...........pls teach me.....
+Stefan Nilsson magic and shit... don't ask me, even with mods i have a hard time getting even a single MKII cargo bay into orbit on an ssts
+Dorssen Derhaeg IT'S SCIENCE!!!!!
+The Magical Gamer
-science
-Hours of free time
-a shit tone of effort
how... what? I, just... I don't get it... there's planning for a mission like lining up transfer windows etc. then there's the planning required for orbital sling manoeuvres, but really a bloody aerobraking manoeuvre that puts you within 3 m/s off your desired orbit?!?!?! GODDAMIT that's insane
Yeah, planning all that was really hard, but meeting up with Gilly EXACTLY as i reached apoapsis after that aerobreak was pure luck ! I was expecting to circle quite a few times in that eliptic orbit around Eve
before catching up with gilly : )
Best ksp videos ever! :D Keep making em pls !
Now I definitely want to see more of these kind of crafts.
20/10
I can barely make an encounter with mun :'(
QUESTION! ION ENGINE WOULDN'T BE BETTAER?
in this case Ion would be a tiny bit heavier , and i really wanted the weight below 3 tons .
Besides I avoid Ion whenever it is possible - its a pain to use : )
Ion engine needs lots of power. To produce this amount of power you should have a lot of solar panels, that increases the mass. As the result less efficiency
ha but ion engine can get you to eeloo if u have weels and a heatshield with wings and yeahhh provn xd xddddd kill me
michael papadopoulos Hazard-ish? Are you meaning him?
I have tried that heatshield with wings thing a few times after seeing Hazard-ish do it. So far I haven't managed to get the craft to survive the landing, but my Kerbals have all survived.
That was intense! Excellent work!
you're without a doubt one of the most amazing persons I've encountered on youtube
Wy You land on Gilly. You could put the spaceraft into an orbit, an then get Hibella out and land using her EVA jet pack.
That would ruin the fun of it
he cant refuel EVA propellant because its a seat and not a full cockpit
But you wouldnt need any for the rest of the trip!
I wonder if burning EVA propellant decreases the mass of kerbals..
mass of kerbals isn't accounted for once you're inside the craft
Mass of the Kerbal isn't accounted to mass of the craft
unless the Kerbal is sitting ijn the External Command Seat
Meanwhile I can make it, to the Mun and back, with barely any fuel yet. Why do I suck at this game...
ian justiz haha, it's terrible right
I can barely get to the mun with no fuel :c
i can barely leave the atmosphere cuz everything is so heavy
Hircy Glowstick umm go do yourself a favor and watch the scott manley orbit tutorial
ian justiz na he/she has to look for a more recent tutorial. manley is pre-1.1 so aerodynamics were different.
The gravity slingshots and efficiency of this...
congrats for creating the smallest interplanetary roclet and amazing choice of soundtrack, great video
I dislike videos like these purely based on the fact that you're not using 100% encounter heat..
I always use 100 % encounter heat.
the service bay has great heat tolerance ...
Also because of the small surface area makes it not heat up nearly as much as a larger craft.
A 2.9 tonne dick...? Jeez
InfinteGaming101 shit i havent thought that thru
That is incredible, I feel like a badass if I can just make a flyby of another planet and hope to make it back to kerbin. Such a steep learning curve.
you sir blow my mind /// u make Awesome vids! love em'
Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre, oooooh I just love it! :D
incredibly impressive. I hope you are very proud of yourself, as you should be
I wish I knew more about the use of Kepler's 3rd law around the 1minute 30 second mark. That seems like a really useful trick to know.
Man you're insane! Good job!
That Kerbin landing was so badass!
That Spring/Suspension/Shock Absorb-er is insane!
“a tiny rocket for a tiny moon” is the best line in ksp ever.
That is some seriously PRO work right there.
That was pure brilliance! gg
Calling you the Ultimate Badass isn't enough
This man, Got a mini rocket that I could only think that can get into orbit, got it to gilly and back. Move over Scott, We got a new ksp champion.
What the... Nevermind, I award you all points! Absolutely sir/madam! You just won the internet!
I am loving your vids
Bro ur vids are awesome love the music too
We want mooore videos from you man!!!
This is nothing short of incredible.
DANSE MACABRE
That is nuts!! Well done
your a legend viewing this a year later
I saw "wait 6 years for a window to go home" and I was like
Happy 4k!!!
That was glorious. I still don't understand how you people can do this kind of stuff with such precision...
that was an insanely awesome mission!
that kerbin landing was hilarious!
Well done sir. Much harder than it looks
