I love the idea of the whistle. That's a great idea for a girl to keep her safe. One of things I found that is also kind of for safety is a flashlight. I found 2 packs of small glow in the dark flashlights with batteries from Big Lots for a good price. I'll separate them and add them to boy's and girl's boxes.

What a great box! You filled it with items this young girl is going to love! ❤ The beautiful pencil case and compact mirror are probably my favorites. I love florals! 😊 I think including toys (like a Barbie, toy car, bouncy ball, stuffy, etc.) is great! I was recently in another country and had the privilege of hanging out with a large group of 10-15 year old girls for an hour or so as they waited for school to open. I had a little bottle of bubbles and some stickers. It was amazing how delighted these girls were to take turns going around the circle blowing soap bubbles! Everyone wanted a turn (multiple turns!). 😊 And they enjoyed the stickers too. Many kids around the world don't have access to all the latest technological gadgets. They find more delight in a toy that a teen here in the US might find juvenile. this is so timely for me! we have a few more boxes for the girls 10-14, we were gifted with cash to go shopping and complete the boxes. so i was thinking of what we could get... i like loading them up with pretty paper, all sorts of stationery, thats what i liked when i was younger... actually, until now! thanks Denise! 💖💖💖

Oh you are funny. Ok, when you are on eBay, it is best to buy this doll in a lot of 12 or so new with tags. That’s the best price usually. I haven’t looked go them in a long time but I’ll take a peek for you too! They are so perfect for our boxes!
Denise, such a cute box for miss 10-14! I like that you included lots of activities! I think this age group is when they really enjoy being creative. Girls 10-14 are difficult for me too! For this age group…After I have included the essentials, I like to include flip flops, dolls, stuffies, activities(bead kits, embroidery, art supplies, games, etc…), extra paper(journals, doodle pads, etc…), jewelry and a cute shirt/outfit! Great informative video Denise. 10-14 is a hard age group especially the boys but you included great ideas. Diaries are an awesome item, I wish I had written more as a young person. Would have been so fun to read them now. I think stuffies and Barbie dolls are also ok for this age group despite what some people say. We must remember that these children may have never had one single toy so it’s ok to add what you’re called to add. Themes are also fun but not necessary. I feel like God tells me what to include and that’s how I pack. Thanks for sharing this message. Very inspirational to new packers!

I struggle with this age group for many reasons but sometimes I’m just overthinking it. I hope this helps others who might need a few small ideas. Wonderful assortment of super fun items for a 10-14 year old girl. Oh I just love the TY beanie bopper! Perfect for a girl this age. I think she will truly get a kick out of that. And the stuffy in the cup is adorable. Costume jewelry, compact mirrors and fun socks have become some of my go to favorites to pack for this age range and you included some awesome ones. What a wonderful and colorful box! I loved it all! I love packing menstrual pads when I can budget that in. And then everything else you already said! If I can get a sort of outfit or shirt and coordinating shoes and accessories that’s always fun!!
I remember a testimony of a foreing country girl; that said that she needed tenis shoes. She received a OCC box, opened and there where the shoes her exact size! She was forever grateful. I would like to do that. Maybe some other things around the shoes and also inside. That be great! 👟👟
I think no-theme shoeboxes are awesome - a little mix of everything. Great box for 10-14 girl! Again, I like the mix of gifts. My favorites are the notebook, pencil pouch, and compact mirror. Beautiful prints on them. I'm sure the girl will enjoy seeing them in her shoebox. Great find in the shirt! I'm a big fan of the scrunchies! The tote is perfect. I think giving a diary to a young girl is perfect, she can put her private thoughts down or ideas. I agree, the plush doll is the best type - a plush and doll at the same time. Sometimes my TH-cam activity takes a bit of time away from my packing… so I knew I had to catch up. I think doing these all at once helped me power through without overthinking it. These are great ideas. For my 10-14 boxes I tend to go with more for hobby craft. This year for the girl boxes I have large bead kits I made up. I’m going the jewelry kits and these super nice sewing kits with fat quarters. One thing I remember about being that age is sharing. I the boxes promote sharing with others so the children don’t feel like they can’t share because there isn’t enough. I hope that makes sense. But it’s the little things like the whistles etc that help me more ideas. Thank you.

Hi Denise, This is a fun and practical box for Miss 10-14. As many have said, it has the right mix of items for a girl of 10 or 14. I also like to include a picture, fiction book like Animals of the Outback in my teen boxes. It's great to send board books to the little ones, but big kids love books too and if they can't read the animal facts (box theme) they will enjoy the pictures.🏜 TFS.

I love sending beads with my 10-14 box! I imagine that her friends/family can bead her hair or she can make necklaces/bracelets to sell and help her family out. Love the craft kit!

Any good links on how to go about making a good stitching kit? Any printable for small patterns that could be included? Perhaps your kits don’t have patterns. There definitely lots of people who like to make things without patterns.

I went to Walmart's I can't find them. I looked in clothing. They must be somewhere else. Next time I go there I will find someone to ask if they know where they are. It is hard to find someone who work's there.
What a great suggestion box for these older girls. This year I made my own sewing kits and I'm including about a yard of fabric. I loved sewing at this age. I also bought the Dollar Tree needlepoint kits, but they had to be modified: No directions, and needles were too large for the plastic canvas. Next year I will make my own and look for some cute patterns I might download. I love adult coloring books, and cute graphic tees and cute socks as well. And I agree, the girls will love jewelry items and hair accessories. I have been packing Barbies as well, but struggle with the idea that they are a bit young for oldest girls. Hopefully, a cute plush, and other toys will make up difference if she's not into the dolls. Really great of you to share. Her stuffy is darling... I could even like one of those. LOL

Where do you find banadanas. I can't find any anywhere?
Hobby Lobby or Walmart is my best bet for bandanas.
