Denise, thank you so much for all of your videos. I'm new to this ministry; 2 weeks knowing of it. I have 4 boxes that follow all the "no can put" rules, that are packed out fully and slightly bulging. My boxes are packed with specifics in mind per gender and age group. I.e., my 10-14 girl box is set up for menstruation because I learned that girls can't go to school while menstruating without having necessary products. I have a reusable Flex cup in that box, as well as reusable pads, and panties as there's a learning curve to Flex, and as a woman you and I both know we wouldn't want to leak through. That's just one example, but I'm stressing that processors might remove parts of my boxes because they might not be able to get everything back in. In addition, I've watched loads of videos AFTER I shopped, and it seems I've chosen the strangest "normal" things. My brain said "get items that will last at least 2 years in harsh environments", and that's what I did. I've included collapsible, solar and USB charged, waterproof, inflatable lights, and collapsible, silicon water bottles, for each child. Each box gets school supplies (12 sharpened pencils, 2-4 ink pens, erasers, pencil sharpener, notebook, scissors, Casio solar calculator, ruler, and 8ct color pencils), a really durable backpack with several pockets, lip balm, washcloth, squishy/plushy, emergency whistle, wooden comb, 2 types of fidget gadgets, emergency blanket, 2 tooth brushes, cutlery, nail clippers and file, and some type of musical instrument. After that, my boxes were more tailored by gender and age. Stunning little tiara for my 5-9 girl, nice soccer balls, high quality pumps with 5 needles and a full soccer outfit( jersey, shorts, socks) for my two 10-14 boys, and the most beautiful kalimba I've ever seen for my 10-14 girl. I included many other nice things for each box, but I'm thinking this post is getting too long. Denise, please reassure me that the processors won't disassemble and redistribute the contents of my boxes!

Great video, Denise! I agree with the DT bin - it's so flimsy. They break ALL the time at the processing center. The plus aisle hasn't arrived yet at my DTs. I'm glad DT is offering higher quality toys. Your DT is nicely stocked. I like that you got everything in one shopping trip at DT! I love you included 2 of the mini TY beanie babies. Great names. Great pony wow set. Oh man, sorry the first DT pencil pouch broke. My favorite are the socks. Beautiful puzzle, bag, and coloring book. That's my favorite comb too. Hello! Great video! I’m a team coach for OCC in Atlanta. So exciting! My biggest thing is when volunteers try to take out items that don’t seem gender related. We have seen a dress in a boys box. God knows why and who it’s going to. The boy who received it had wanted a dress for his sister. Leave the boxes in their integrity unless it’s an inappropriate

Yesterday was my Birthday and I received a pair of Martha Stewart Sketchers. I was very excited by the box, pretty turquoise with a flip open lid! On the way home from lunch I saw signs with flying shoe boxes on them and arrows pointing toward the church where I used to vote. At home on the porch was a box my Aunt, a retired teacher had mailed me full of: stickers, pencils, erasers, kids sunglasses, shoe laces, sharpeners, a travel toothbrush, cute socks, bouncy balls... perfect additions for my boxes! Then I went to a puzzle swap and got to hold kittens. Best B-day ever!

I have the Berenstein Bears, too. I’ve been trying to find a book to go with them so I’ll keep them for next year. Love your bags. I hope they don’t open the bags and separate 😳 I feel like if things are in bags they are meant to be together! I’ve been donating everything that I’m not gonna use this year, too. I definitely want to get them to kids now!

Your dollar tree looks so nice. I love those forever friend outfits as well. Wow...your socks are wiped out! Yep...I have had DT pouches rip on me as well. I love the other pencil case you gave her. Definitely an interesting shop! I wouldn’t be able to do that type of box here, just walked in DT yesterday and apparently everything is now $1.75 😢 Love the way this box came together though!

You did a fantastic job on that box! We gave these out here in Poland (we're missionaries) for several years. My (own) kids actually prefered pens that didn't have tops that you can lose - so now I only buy the kind you click open. I'm flabbergasted how nice your box is.....that girl is going to be delighted!

I love you channel, but if I calculated right you spent $36.75 at dollar tree and this did not include the shoebox, the organza bags and the ziplock bags. Wow, I could not spend that much on one box. I want to make incredible boxes for children but the cost is too much for me. I need to look elsewhere for bargains. Thank you for showing us so many helpful ideas. The child who gets this box will be so blessed.

I am so thankful you show what is good and bad for buying at Dollar tree. The clothes for the little dolls also fit the Chelsea dolls. Our church was blessed to pack 452 boxes this year! We had our dedication last Sunday and the whole church prayed over them again! God is soooo good!

Thank you for the tips. I am struggling to get the things I want to send and get the boxes closed. This is my first year doing boxes and there seems to be a sharp learning curve for me. I ordered the plastic boxes because everyone online says they are better for the child-long-term storage, and they say the plastic containers that are not OCC have a tendency to break before getting to their destination.

Will you all join me in praying for all the items being sent this year to Operation Christmas Child? Pray that they bless the children with fun or functionality. And the most important thing is to pray that the children will receive Jesus into their hearts and follow Him all of their lives and share Him with others.

It’s fun watching a box come together totally from DT. It’s easier now that they’ve gotten in many really nice plus items for the wow! I love that mesh and neoprene cosmetic bag for a pencil pouch! I packed 2 this year, one as a pencil pouch and one for a hygiene kit. Worked great for both! Wonderful save for the one that ripped. Thanks for sharing, Denise ❤

I love the key chain plushes, I have picked up them and put in boxes before. I think they are great. Very cute puzzle. Dollar tree shopping is so fun and I appreciate your videos because it helps me to know what to look for and what not to get at DT. TFS
