YES PRECISELY! 😂 THAT CABIN FILTER ON THE MAZDA 2 NEARLY DROVE ME MAD! 😬 IT'S AS IF THEY SAID "LET'S MAKE THIS AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO FIND AND CHANGE!" 🙄🤦🏻♂️😅
Generally recommended to be replaced at about 70k (which they usually last for quite easily) on most manufacturers service schedules. Ideal for vehicles that need manifolds etc removing for access to plugs. Most petrol cars use the fuel tank as the filter housing with like a teabag type mesh on the pump pickup therefore the filter is effectively massive! Agree there’s some real pirates out there tucking up the unwary. Karma will get them eventually with a bit of luck.
My wifes little Suzuki Splash 1.2 owners manual recommends changing the Iridium plugs at 63000 miles or 84 months. I checked them out at 60000 miles after 9 years - seemed fine !
My daughters little 3 cyl 1.0l Suzuki Alto runs them. Never have I gasped at the cost of 3 plugs like I did with those. Thank God you don't have to change them very often....but I'll stick to my Defender TDi. Never needed to change the plugs on that!!
They are taking the pee, to many garages automatically change everything so they can charge for it, but many service intervals don’t call for all filters and things to actually be changed every service, just the oil. That’s why I haven’t gone to garages for decades.
The Mazda plugs in my wife’s mazda 6 started arching between the porcelain and the metal nut end at around 50k miles. Set a misfire code. Iridium plugs are great if they last 100k.
Ford 1lt ecoboost has them deep in the head, and have tapered seats not crush washers. Awful to take out and install as you have no feel on them. About the size of a wax crayon too.
I think I need a new battery fitted to my subscriber bell ? can you sort this ? ( under warranty ? ) got part 2 this morning ? wondering where part 1 or was this another observation mystery ? Caught up now though Oh I cannot be bothered tinkering for other people now .... think you end up with hassle you don't need at such a little return Remember I did a service on a 1975 VW beetle and the owner bought the service kit and supplied it to me from Halfrauds... yeah it came with 5 litres of antifreeze ... she kicked off when I said I didn't change it as it doesn't need it .... as if it was my bad practice
Sealed for life because vehicles are designed to fail now so you go buy a new car 😂😂 same with the plugs. I always change them. It's like the new longlife oil in trucks that lasts 3x more miles. Stupid idea.

My mother’s little 1.0 VW UP is like that no fuel filter as a service item. One sealed in the fuel tank for life.

She is even more terrified of garages after that episode.

I have 10.000 km with Iridium plugs, I had no issues yet.
Iridium plugs don’t work very well in my 2.0 tdci 😂
