What does the test show?
The test is to show how effectively engine oil protects the engine. Friction test, to simulate engine operation.
Metal components in the engine during operation (friction, eg pistons) can lead to scratches and scratches. The better the quality of oil, the better it should protect the engine before it is formed.
Each sample subjected to this test will probably have some scratches. By measuring the sample, we will be able to check the depth of the groove.
How does the test run?
The new sample is subjected to metal friction under 1 kg load for 5 minutes. Then the sample diameter is measured at its lowest point. Each new sample has diameters of 2.92 from which the diameters of the sample to be tested. By subtracting both dimensions, we get a real measure of sample consumption. The result is lower the better.

I was going to buy a cheaper and add additives but I guess I don’t have to when BMW have already made an oil for my car with additives that work well with the blend. This is the oil I will be using from now on. Every 10k or 12 months 👌🏽

Piotrek testy pokazują różnice pomiędzy olejami ale tglko te w temperaturze zakładam pokojowej są w miare rzetelne. Nie ma to jednak odniesienia do najważniejszego parametru temp 100 st.C. Rozbuduj urządzenie o podgrzewanie walka o stałe 100 st.C z termometrem podczas pracy i wówczas podaj olej.
Ponieważ olej już po nalaniu z czajnika na chlodniejszy metal, już traci pewnie z 20 st.C ze swojej temperatury natomiast podczas testu nadal traci i przypuszczm, że nie ma na koniec więcej jak 40 st.C. Metal odbiera mu temp.. Taki układ temperatur nie oddaje w żaden soosób stałej temperatury po rozgrzaniu szklanek i tłoków silnika.
Naprawde warto to w taki sposób rozwiązć. Będzie rzetelniej i uczciwiej gdyż w zaniżonej temperaturze różne oleje mają rozbieżne wartości i inicją inne /różne aktywności skladników.

BMW official partner/manufacturer for lubricants (as of 2017) is Royal Dutch Shell ;) (owner of brands such as Shell Oils in Europe and Pennzoil in the USA)

Witam chciałbym kupić taki olej oryginalny, ale obawiam się podrobionych w necie ,mogę prosić o alternatywę rekomendowaną do Bmw 5 G30 2.0D jaki obecnie testowany olej byłby najlepszy o parametrach 5w30 z ogólnodostępnych w sklepach motoryzacyjnych ?

What kind of friction reducing oil additive would you recommend, combined with this oil in a BMW 330d ?
Buy off FCP Euro they have lifetime warranty on everything. Once you are done with the first kit, you simply order another one and do your oil change again. You then refill the bottles with the old oil, oil filter, gaskets, etc and send it back to them and they will refund you the money you spent on the second kit.

Polytron MTC...beeing using it for 4 years 'till now...engine is verry clean, smoke almost gone at high rpm, sound of the engine is decresed verry much...hope it will help you too!

Are you crazy ? It's Shell but TT Power is Special blend 4 BMW . Helix ultra is good but BMW blend is higher 😎

Yes, you can use this oil. Also think about using what oil additive, 5W30 oil alone at high power is not enough. What additive to use? Xado 1 Stage Maximum, Bilstein R2000, Militec-1 K2, Mecarun P18, Archoil AR9100

Bardziej się liczy jak olej pozostaje czysty, szczególnie w dieslach które nie mają okazji rozgrzać się podczas jazdy po mieście. Moje eksperymenty kasują prawie każdy olej poza LM 0W40 i Quartz 10W40. Bardzo czyste oleje. Ten olej BMW zostawia niepojęty nagar na gorących powierzchniach. (Łożyska korbowodu, łożyska turbo, tłoki i pierścienie).

Nessuno sa veramente se l'olio di BMW è l'olio Shell. Sto anche lavorando a casa olio BMW 0W40 - il test verrà pubblicato tra pochi giorni. Avrò anche olio in pochi giorni - BMW 0W30 :-)
Forse la BMW usa base Shell Elix Ultra e poi gli aggiunge un additivo nanotecnologico.
Leggevo che il migliore è il C60 (fullerene), nn lascia residui e fa il suo lavoro, il peggiore è il teflon che si agglomera e poi quando si stacca fa disastri.
Ho visto anche le prove del Castrol Magnatec, nn mi sembra affatto male ... soprattutto per la questione della polarizzazione dell'olio come con il Bardhal.
Leggevo che Magnatec nn è completamente sintetico anche se il flash point nn è male

Hi, I would be much easier if I know more information about your engine... but you should know that this oil has norm C3 - mean that you can use it in every diesel engine (modern and old).

This is very big engine, so you should use 5W40 or 5W50. 5W30 is to weak for big engine.

Mostly engine oil SAE10W60 give best protect from all oils... so, BMW 10W60 would be good... but in your country, I guess, you can find also very good oil from Amsoil. This brand has special engine oils for big engine, for example: Amsoil Signature Series Max-Duty Diesel 0W40 or Amsoil Signature Series Max-Duty Diesel 5W40..

Does not make any sense even thu i belive you are not cheating us. There would be very little point in doing so for you. At least whatI can think off. Maybe you are right, but trust me, all cuts on video doesn't matter to show them. I will record one video without any cuts and send you and Szabo Laszlo link. Sometimes, cuts help me, when neighbor or Someone else makes noise, then I wait a few seconds until it stops making noise and I'm recording further.
