- Free VPS is advertised pretty much everywhere, but very rarely are these claims true. I've spent my time trying to find a legit free vps provider.

So you want a free VPS and you're unsure which providers are fake and which ones are real? Well, I've spent a better half of a month testing out and trying to find legit free VPS providers. Basically wasting my time so you wouldn't have to.

A free VPS is something that a lot of users want. And seemingly there are plenty of options to choose from. But upon further inspection it seems like these Free VPS providers aren't as legit as you would expect. Often baiting users into clicking ads, mining data or buying premium plans by mistake.
So, I took it upon myself to test out as many Free VPS providers as I could to determine if any of them are actually real. Here's what I found.

VPS Server
The very first result on Google promising a 7 day trial. While 7 days isn't really a "free vps" it's still better than nothing. So, I tried signing up for this service, but it asked me to submit my ID and a LOT of personal information. Since I wasn't really in the mood to do so, I've decided to completely skip this provider as the 7 day free vps trial wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Gratis VPS
This was by far the biggest offender when it comes to websites that are offering a free VPS service. Gratis VPS is just a huge ad farm, baiting users into clicking ads and making money off them. In general, just wasting your time.
They keep changing their design overtime, but the scam generally stays the same. They promise a free VPS or a free VPS tial. But they ask you to click on ads to "unlock your password" of course there was never any free VPS available and they're just trying to make you click the ads for them.
Avoid Gratis VPS at all costs, this scam has been running for over a year now.

Cloudsigma
This is another weird provider advertising a free VPS trial. I'm not sure if they're really trying to get anything from you or it's just a discontinued product. But I wasn't able to get their interface and service to work at all, the menu buttons were missing or weren't clickable. Some elements just wouldn't load at all.

VPSWala
Another scam free vps provider that has been operating for more than a year now. Offering free vps plans, but asking you to fill out A LOT of personal information and password. In the end, they tell you that once your free VPS is activated you'll get an email, but the email never arrives. Basically just takes your data and does whatever they want with it.

Other Scams
Following these everything else I found pretty much followed the same exact patterns. They were either an ad farm, trying to trick users into clicking ads, they were advertising free VPS trials that were extremely hard to get or in some cases just impossible OR they were just using the words FREE VPS on their website, but the website would only have paid options.

Legit Provider #1 (Cloudways)
Cloudways is offering a 3 day trial of any of their VPS servers if you do phone verification. I've tried it out and they never called me or sent marketing spam to my phone. If you're looking for some test VPS for a couple of days get a 3 day trial from Cloudways

Legit Provider #2 (AWS)
Amazon Web Services is offering a 12 month trial of their Free Tier Eligible micro VPS instances. You'll need a credit card and a phone number. Be careful because they can charge your card for extensive usage.

Legit Provider #3 (A2 Hosting)
A2 hosting is offering $5 VPS plans. And they're offering an extremely flexible refund policy so you can get your money back after usage.

All VPS providers "pay me" they have affiliate programs that anybody can join. I dont feature anyone based on money. Since I dont get anything if people refund. Its in my best interest to feature providers that offer good services for a good price since I make money either way. But the most providers featured here weren't even real just blatant scams lol

Cloudways is just VPSServer, requires your ID or drivers license and one of the two options (Facebook account, Twitter account, your LinkedIn profile, your company, personal website, and phone number)
Do not use kids

Thanks man! Talking about GPUs and pricing well that's not really my specialty :D I can't give you professional advice on that. But I can share my personal opinions, I usually try to buy second hand GPUs from Ebay when new models get released. For example when the GTX 30 series came out all of the RTX 2060s dropped in price quite heavily from people that were using them and now want to upgrade.

Bluehost, hostinger or siteground?
I would recommend SIteGround if you don't care about the price tag. They're on average 2x or 3x more expensive than other options, but provide the best speed/support and features out of the 3 you've mentioned. @@shivamroy04 I personally would go for the Hostinger Cloud plan because I like budget options :D I feel it's the best ratio between price/performance.
The Bluehost Plus plan shouldn't really be on your radar, they're more of a "beginner" provider it'll struggle with performance and loading speed.
The SiteGround GrowBig plan is objectively the best, but it's just so much more expensive than the other options. I only feel it's worth it if you're making money off your website.
So to summarize:
1. Don't even consider Bluehost at this point. You're too big for it.
2. If it's a passion project and you're not making significant income from your website Hostinger Cloud hosting will be a good sweet spot between performance/price.
3. If you're making an income from your website SiteGround GrowBig would make the most sense. Hope this helps!

@@EpicLokvanji google offers free VPS tier forever. 600MB RAM and some weak vCPU. Plenty for anything you do really. You only pay like 2$ per gigabyte of outgoing traffic.
Running it for over 2 weeks costed me like 0,002$
Oracle Cloud Free Tier. 4 vcpus and 24gb ram with 200 gb storage. The limitation is that it is AMD Ampere, which is arm and not x86. Hope this helps.

I have used cloud sigma 7days trial and it works for anyone who want to use it. It doesnt even require credit card and although the servers can be a little slow it is not a scam.

post4vps is a small community where you can get a vps for free by making contributions to the community. post for vps, just like the name says. They've been around 4 years and have a small cache of vps in different locations from different providers with different specs. Well worth a look as a free hosting alternative.

CloudSigma is not a scam, I was running my own VPN server there before. Sadly, i had to stop my VPN server as my clients were leaving. You should remove CloudSigma on the list since they are legit. they actually disabled the free trial because it was being abused by the Filipinos.
