I have had my 19C for about 10 months now, ran all different grains through it, never had a single malfunction through about 1000 rounds. Surprised to hear that you did. I have luckily never had any issues with the spalding either so far
I just got one, first time shooting it and I didn’t have any problems but my wife did. She shot 2 mags and jammed every shot with 115 gr. I’m guessing it the way she held it.
@@kimhem748yeah i have a 19C if you ride your hands too high it’ll be more prone to jam. Had to slightly change my grip. All of my jams were shooter induced. After I switched the grip, never had any issues.
Trigger wise I would recommend polishing the bar connecter. Then change the shoe to your liking. Ranger Proof or StandardCo have great ones so you can keep the reliability of the internals on your trigger.
I've had a few of these(My first Gen 3 had over 10,000 rounds through it. Someone shot it at a public outdoor range and had to have it, so I sold it and bought another one) . My 19C Gen 4 choked like crazy on Federal Champion 115 early on. 124 and 147 cured it.....after a few hundred rounds, it digested everything and continues to. I can't recall the last time it malfunctioned. I love My 19C Gen 4. I'd recommended a few friends to get them and they are happy with their choice. It is super flat shooting, reliable and accurate. Nearly 12,000 rounds have gone through My current one with no parts changed. It keeps going and is one of My favorite guns to shoot.
@@TheKoreanMarksman I never had any issues with two Gen 3 19C's. Maybe the Gen 4 spring was too stiff with 115's. My friends Gen 4 19c was the same way. After about 50 147's, we tried 115 and it failed to cycle. 124/147 for a bit, then it should digest anything. It is one hell of a firearm!
First time on your channel, great video, I didn’t even look at the rest of your channel but if you made this video this well, definitely worth a follow, and I’m also obsessed with ported/ comped guns
@@ambientlightsss4466you are correct…but ported, its is substantially louder…which won’t make a difference in a self defense shooting of course, but still…yep, it’s LOUD.
I have a Gen 3 and a Gen 4 19c. The first shot out of the Gen 3 I had a FTE using WWB. I've never had another issue with them. Great pistols, the Gen 4 is a fantastic pistol. The measure able differences in times, for me, are zero or very close to it vs a regular 19. I really want a 32c.
A buddy of mine let me shoot his brand new, never been used 19C. Oiled it up and went out and shot it. I had 4 malfunctions in the first 16 rounds. It is a very smooth shooting gun.
The 19C started in gen 3, it was and still is, produced for the Israeli service, and has a special build variant with a factory "upgraded" package. it consists of night sights, trigger job, grip angle, and enlarged magazine catch and slide release.
The Glock Models in my collection that I will never part with are my G19C Gen 4, G17C Gen 4, G23C Gen 3, G17 RTF2 with the Crescent Serrations, and my G20SF that I have customized to my exact liking. I wish Glock still offered their RTF and "C" Models. I like Johnny Glocks' Vex Trigger Shoe with polished trigger bar, (.) Connector, & Striker & Safety Plunger upgrades. I'll ran those entire trigger systems for any Glock that I don't carry. For an EDC i'll run just their trigger shoe and trigger bar especially in my Gen 5s. I'm not a huge Glock Fan Boy but I have never had any issues with all the Glocks i've ever owned and fired including .40S&W, 10mm, .357SIG, etc. For pistols my Heart will always beat for Sig P226s, P227s, P229s, CZ SP-01s, and Berettas but you can't go wrong with the simplicity and reliability of a Glock, especially when 1st getting into firearms.
@@TheTAEclub Short Frame Compensated Models and Rough Textured Finish Glocks with Crescent Serrations in the factory Compensated Glock Models are not the same... Do you even know what im talking about or are you just talking just to fuck with someone?
probably don't want to carry it without carrying a second unported pistol for those situations or use inside of a car (which will be louder with a ported handgun)
Ported is absolutely the way to go compared to compensated. The ports will only benefit you if you can already shoot well. If you’re new to guns, I would not bother.
I had a 19c roughly 15yrs ago. It ran like crap. The slide would get stuck back randomly like it was an empty magazine. It wasn't the slide lock. It was a real pain in the ass. We eventually tore it apart and replaced the slide and ported barrel. Problem solved.
I agree the chances of shooting like that are very low. But I couldn’t help but think that’s exactly how you would shoot from the driver seat out of the driver side window…
I really want to buy it but i wonder how bad the fireballs it reflects.. Does someone have experience with it? Just in case I need to shoot at night. I heard it can make you “blind” for few seconds.
Boy closes his eyes every time he shots 😂 . But u tryna teach ppl how to shot . Bra u going get killed if u go against someone like me . Go train more . Just talk about the guns .

Nice man! My 19C had similar issues with 115. I just got the 15lb spring from ISMI and it fixed it but breaking it in probably would have done it too!

I’ve been using clearance shelf Remington UMC 115 and experienced very poor ballistics. When you say choke, is that what you’re referring to?
@@zakkbrown9522 Sorry, "Choking" is referring to malfunctions. Fail to feed/Fail to eject etc.
Good vid, nice info. Also thank you for recognizing I am a gentle folk. People usually call me a ruffian which ain't true!

These are awesome. Only thing that sucks about ported handguns is how freaking loud they get in a self defense scenario
That’s very true. Hopefully one would be outdoors and not in a confined space😅
Doesn’t make a difference to me, at an indoor range or outdoor range. I heard ported guns outdoors with no ear pro (IDPA) and it’s not bad at all.

There are a bunch of Gen 4 19C’s on gunbroker. Just got a new one for 400 smackaroos

17lbs stock spring..try a glockstore tungsten gen 4 guide rod 15lbs or 16lbs springs.. it would further reduce recoil

getting carjacked or roadraged from your driverside door you would have to orient your pistol like that unless you kicked off into the passenger seat

I have a feeling there are very few scenarios where you’d be in the legal clear slinging rounds from the driver seat
