Hey, I'm so glad that helped!! And thanks for the shout-outs! I really enjoyed watching the stream! If anyone wants to watch this trap in action, check out FirePumpkin's video here: th-cam.com/video/1qW-R-K8CLQ/w-d-xo.html
Ooh! Thank you very much for this video! I was watching some other videos showing how to tame them and they weren't getting very good effectiveness. I thought it might be because they couldn't pet them or feed them fast enough. This definitely solves that issue! I appreciate it!
That's awesome! Any follower of FirePumpkin is always welcome here. I had a lot of fun watching her tame her own using this trap :) And thanks! did it help you get some Astrodelphis tamed too?
Very useful and you do not lose effectiveness when taming. also for some reason the necessary element is less than to tame them without locking them up.
For people who can't feed it on official, you turned it hostile the only way to still tame it is to tranq it with phaser or dart etc. Took me ages to found this "trick" in 2016 issue...
You don't need to knock them out. Let them out of the trap and get them away from any other structures, then punch them, then fly away keeping just enough distance so it can't hit you and can still see you. Eventually it will lose interest and become tameable again. Had a couple that wouldn't lose aggro no matter what I did. That way worked. Also seems they de-aggro when the server crashes or restarts.
I can not, for the life of me, get the dolphins to follow me deep enough to get them towards my taming trap. It's like those deep sea creatures not wanting to swim above a certain depth. I've tried on three different ingame days, they all just lost interest and kept circling around above me.
Hmm if they won't come close to you, you could try building the trap on an asteroid near them, just make sure you're out of there before midnight game time, because I'm not sure what will happen when the asteroids reset but it probably won't keep your trap and tames around lol.
Hi @renkur your server may have some different settings than mine. None of the space tunnels are blocked on my game, or any other I have heard of. But this trap should still work fine if you built it on top of the space entrances or on any flat asteroids. Just make sure you don't tame your Astrodelphis anytime near midnight or the space biome may reset on you and I'm not sure what will happen if it does.
LOL man I'm so late replying. And since you and Luse are mods, it auto-approves your comments so I don't see them in my queue waiting for approval lol Did you two ever try this to tame some dolphins? I tried adding a second side to mine by mirroring the ceiling and walls, and putting the doors on the outside, and I could tame 2 at once! The first trapped one pushes the second into the other pen lol
Oh, that's a bummer. You should be able to make the same trap on any flat surface on asteroids though so hopefully this will still save you a lot of trouble, even if it's not quite as safe out in the open. Thanks for the heads up!
This trap is amazing and made taming them so much easier. Thanks for this.
This trap is awesome! Love a minimalist approach. Tamed two 150s, a 145, and 135 all in an evening. Super easy and effective.
Used it tonight- worked great!! Got myself my two teal high levels- SUPER easy. Thanks so much for this!!

Impresive. Cheap and good looking, can't ask more
Awesome thanks so much! So glad it helped!
Just tamed my first ever one using this trap. So easy thanks man!
Awesome! Helping people out is why I made this, so that makes me really happy that it worked well for you!
Fire Pumpkin brought me here😁
Great trap indeed!

Trap still works 👍
a nice trap and a fun vid as always - thanks! :)
Thanks so much! I hope this gets you more easy Astrodelphis tames!

It did seem a lot easier than I expected trapping them, but honestly I haven't tried taming an Astrodelphis the regular way lol
Is there an easy way to tame the space whale because I have seen a 135 once and thought I try and tame one even if it is a bad level

Captain Fatdog tier trap
Thank u I. Lost 500+ element chasing them around and even tho element is easy to git not exactly some things ng u can just go harvest anytime.
Shame I missed the premiere but nice trap! I am a pro at taming without tho and I prefer it like that 😁
You really are. I've never seen anyone tame anything as fast as you do these little monsters.
@@Lusewing awww fanks, I'll take that as a compliment 😊
I'm gonna try it

I was about to try this one but it seems like i cannot build anything inside :( i dont know how did u build inside

Amazing trap, if anyone is as hopeless at tameing these things as I am then this will be a lifesaver.
You could try this trap 🙂

@@ArkSurvivalGuide yes I managed to tame four dolphins, but Luse hasn't managed to as of yet 🙂
@@ArkSurvivalGuide I haven't had to Cryptic seems to be the Dolphin whisperer. I really don't know how she does it.
I’m not getting the option to pet him? On ps4. He just keeps trying to bite me.
Plz play island again
just grapple to it?
It follows me for 1 sec and the next second it’s not following anymore And I’m in it’s Freaking face
