This is an HVAC conceptual video about the "Automatic Balancing Valves/Hydronic Balancing" regarding the HVAC system valves which are commonly used in hydronic chilled/hot water loops at AHUs and FCUs with accessories. Excellent video, I have used these valves. Before purchasing these valves, we are giving our gpm requirements to supplier or manufacturer, then manufacturer adjusting cartridge as per given flow

Actually we are working in a building
And one part of building we have 5 fcu different capacity
3 of them is working perfectly
But last 2 fcu we didn't get proper cooling we are feeling there is water flow issue

Placing a balancing valve on the supply side will give you satisfactory results, but choosing the return side can be more effective because it can reduce air and noise problems while achieving better heat transfer across the coils. Moreover, the coils can remain fully flooded and there will be less turbulence due to less free air trapped in the coils. Due to several above benefits, Highly recommends to install the Balancing Valves on the Return side of the coil whenever possible.

U hv kept 2/3 way modulating valve in supply line instead of return...why??? What is the effect???
Also where to place automatic balancing valve...before or after 2/3 way modulation valve????

3-way diverting valve shall be install in supply line of AHU or FCU and 2-way valve shall be installed in return line of AHU or FCU

Why do we use Balance valve In Return line and not in supply line ?

Balancing/2-way/3-way vales are used for control chilled water flow as per design requirements which is installed return pipeline.
It is normally installed on return because of the following reasons:
1. ASHRAE Recommendations.
2. The coil of the unit should be flooded in case the valve is closed.
3. With a control valve on the return side, the water is at a higher pressure through the coil, reducing off gas, thereby lowering dissolved oxygen content. Lower dissolved oxygen extends equipment life by minimizing the air entrapment.
4. In coil return line, after AHU/FCU install
