I love that you looked at the latest Tim Holtz stamps and saw a plaid card for Halloween! I appreciate the time you took to go over how you decide to make your creations. It opened up possibilities and different techniques to try when I make my cards. Thanks!🤩
What fun cards! I never would have thought to use those stamps and stencils to make plaid and eyeballs. Your out-of-the-box creative thinking is mind blowing!
Awesome cards! I just wanted to take some time to say thank you. I know creating these videos, I addition to your blog, and all the un-seen work that goes with each, well… it’s a lot. So thank you, truly, for taking the time to teach all of us out here in TH-cam land.
Thank you Christine! I’ve done sewing on cards in several tutorials. Let me peek back at them and see which ones. I know one is the Insect Slider card that was one of my first tutorials in 2021.
Thanks for sharing! These are so cute! For the eyeball card did you end up putting a black background behind the strip? I can’t tell if it’s stitched or just a background strip.
Thanks so much Kim! Just Distress Inks won’t work for this technique. You need the Archival Ink to act as a resist to the Distress Ink. Thanks for watching!
Hi Marie, I’m not sure how it works on regular Cardstock, but it won’t work at all on Yupo. The paper needs to be porous and Alcohol Ink Cardstock is the most porous. Yupo isn’t porous at all.
Hey Tami - I’ve been dying to make this card as I love plaid and argyle. I used black soot oxide at the end and it didn’t rub off. Is that because it’s oxide? I didn’t have just distress.
Hi Jackie, I would imagine it is because the oxide is a totally different medium with the opaque pigment instead of the translucent ink. I’ve never tried the oxides with this technique as Tim taught it w the inks, so thanks for testing it out and letting us know.
Soooo creative! These are great! Thank you for sharing!

Fun to watch the whole process. Thanks.

Great cards, I always make Hallowee cards for my niece and nephews, so I will have to give this technique a try. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this technique! I had no idea how to utilize this paper with the various kinds of inks. Always learning something new from you!
I love your cards! Thank you for sharing your techniques. I would love to see how you sew on your cards.

th-cam.com/video/_BtfMnAjpSQ/w-d-xo.html this isn’t a card but I did do a sewing tutorial on a Sizzix project earlier this year. It begins at 17:00
@@Playswellwithpaper thank you! I can’t wait to watch it ❤️
The orange and red one looks like barbed wire👍
Made my creepy heart happy to see Halloween cards- these are just fun and fabulous- if there’s Christmas in July shouldn’t we have Halloween in May?

It’s been so long so I had to go look. Yes I cut black paper to go behind the strips.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I don’t have archival inks. Would distress inks work?

I Love it! Could this technique work with regular cardstock, or does it have to be on yupo? TFS Tami!

@@Playswellwithpaper Thank you Tami! You know what Tim would say : try it then you'll know, so I guess I will have to try! ☺

@@Playswellwithpaper wow thx for the quick reply. Well I took one for the team. Lol. I wish the Carson stamp show was still going on.
