I love all of Tim products & Demos he has a great sense of humor that’s makes you want to watch over & over again!!
I just love watching you create. You are so funny about the 'lids'....made me laugh!!!
Very informative. And, I totally agree about the lids...I can't tell you how many times my cube has flown across the room and landed on the floor.
the tighter lids drive me nuts too!!! I'm with you brother!
I’m with you Tim about the lids for the minis, for people with dexterity problems......me! They are a nightmare to get off. The dylusions ones are the same, so difficult.
I sanded the inside of the new lids!! Lol it loosened them up a bit for sure! I used a sanding block with the sponge inside but a rough nail file would work too 🧰!i also hate to have to deal with something slowing me down when my creative mojo is flowing !!!!!!!!!
Stamping is the best! And this video is top notch!! Love the idea of mixing the archival with the distress inks.
That was so cool! So glad to learn more about archival ink and how to use it with distress inks!
Wonderful demo. Beautiful inks! Dreams do come true!😊
Yeah... those fixed lids!!! Wonder if I lightly filed/sanded the inside lid edge, if it would help loosen it up. Tight lids are great IF you don't use them like Tim does (and I do). Think I'll test that out. Should have kept my other lids. Won't make that mistake again!!!
Tim, adorable ans Amazing !!!
How about distress oxide mini ink pads. I would love the invetion of this.
Tim has mentioned in the past that the minis won't be any time soon.
Boy I really hope they release the all the colors of the Distress line in the Archival formula. Maybe someone finally realized that archival ink works perfectly on clear stamps. I LOVE the distress inks and all the beautiful colors, but they are rubbish for stamping... especially photopolymer stamps.
My top pick for new products so far 😀
That is such a cool technique.
what is the glass piece you are using to hold the stamp on?
It is an acrylic stamp block.
I would like tighter Lids..mine are falling off .. i dont want them to dry :-(
I ordered a ton of the mini's when the lids were loose - and they ALL arrived dried out! Money down the drain...
Can you layer these woth acrylics in mixed media work?
Yes - Archival inks are oil based and will work over acrylic paints.
I have a question about this technique, I've tried doing this on regular cardstock and the archival never seems to stay at the forefront. Is the glossy paper essential for that? My distress inks have been covering and muddying the archival, and my best guess is that the surface is too porous. Can anyone weigh in and share their experience?
Thank you. Love these!
Wow! Soooooo cool....😎
Thank you! 👍🏻
I am a long time stamper and love Archival ink and have used it for years but for new stampers/crafters who don't understand the different inks, it is very confusing to call them "Distress Archival" inks. Ranger, why could you not have just added the extra colours to the Archival range and advertised that rather than put "Distress" and "Archival" on the product as they are entirely different inks for different purposes. I guess it's just another way to try and convince people that they need the new range?
Can you tell me why when I stamp with the black archival & then ink blend over it, the black smears? I’ve even heat it to make sure it’s dry, & it will still smudge the image.
My only guess is that it isn't dry enough. What type of ink are you going over it with? If you want Tim to answer this question then you need to email him directly. His email is on his website.
ScrapTimeVideos I’ve used dye inks like Simon Says Stamp, & even distress inks. It doesn’t seem to matter how long I wait or even if I use the heat tool on the black archival ink, it always smudges when I ink blend over it. 😕
I don't know - I would contact Ranger directly.
ScrapTimeVideos Thank you, I will do that.
Did you ever get an answer to your question? I am curious as I am trying to get a handle on what inks work best with others and what materials they are best used to stamp on (porous/non-porous etc.). Thanks!
Hi Nikki. I see you. Lucky ducky. 🐥
Castro!
Very cool. Also, gotta say, Tim is pretty hot! lol

It's pretty arrogant of Tim to assume that all of his followers who purchase his inks should also be able to afford the tins he sells. Honestly, his attitude in this video has really put me off him, and his products. Good on you Tim. Nice to see you're still keeping in touch with your roots (sarcastically.) They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but I think getting too big for your boots is the lowest example of a creative mind.
