Another railway that was visited initially during Covid when the majority of railways were closed, so was nice to be able to have a trip on the railway at last. Originally I had intended to fit in the Corris Railway, but a mixup between Towyn and Tywyn led to it becoming a trip for another day.
I managed to see all locomotives bar from No. 2 Dolgoch, which I think is not bad for a first visit. Almost as if it wanted to recreate the train I missed in covid, No. 7 Tom Rolt was my steed for my trip up the line, with No. 1 Talyllyn on the other train, looking absolutely gorgeous in its GER inspired blue. Was great to see it working after first seeing it's boiler in the Mid Hants Workshops all those years ago.
The Museum was very nice to visit, seen the other Dorking narrow gauge loco 'William Finlay' as well as some interesting bits of railway history inside, and was wonderful to finally see the Awdry Study, and the layout, most of his original items and models on display.
