Right, Moses would not be afraid of an average height Canaanite giant. How could an average height Canaanite be so tall that the Israelites felt like grasshoppers. Anyone who tries to mess with the Bible is doomed to failure in the end. The height of the giants varied between the different Canaanite tribes and ranged from 8 ft to 15 ft and some of the Nephilim were even taller and stronger. This is the accepted numbers for the Nephilim, the giants were later beings father removed from the Fallen angel genes, so these alien peoples gradually got shorter as generations came and went. So a giant could do better than that easily. The Nephilim were genetically copied from the fallen angels and there are many references to the warrior angels being 8 ft tall. All we have to do is look at the Canadian wild hairy hog, which the Canadian government labs bred to live through the harsh Canadian winters and they are about twice the size of the Texas wild hog. So allot can be done with genetics. The Nephilim were experts at combining genes of different species, so it is not unreasonable for them to create even bigger giants than themselves. Nature is very pragmatic and efficient. People anywhere about 9 feet tall would have been unhealthy, clumsy, and not able to be good warriors at all. Poor research. You fail to mention Amos 2:9, where god describes Ammonites as tall as cedars. That is a pretty clear definition of very tall giants. I would say at least 40 feet.

When they talk about the giants being 3000 something, it wasn't cubit, (18 inches) it was an El (45inches). The bible and extrabiblical texts talk about giants so large that it took villages and kingdoms to feed them and when the food ran out they began to eat the people and then each other.

Now, in scripture, when the Angel is measuring the walls of New Jerusalem, he uses a rod. Why?, cuz it's appropriate. The ell is a similar and equally ambiguous measurement of distance: the approximate distance from the tip of an extended middle finger to the inside of a man's elbow. Neither the ell nor the cubit is a precise measurement by way of anybody's imagination. The 3000 els in some translations of the book of Enoch is a scribal error in some of the Greek manuscripts. The original Ge'ez (ancient Ethiopian language) in which the book of Enoch has been preserved does not mention anything of the height of the Giants. What it says is there were 3 variations of giants. The "great giants" were born of human women and watcher angels, the "Nephilim" were born of the great giants, and the "Elioud" were born of the Nephilim. "These were the heroes of old, men of renown." Nephilim means "earth-born." There are 2 Hebrew words that look very similar, but have quite different meanings. They are "Nephal/נֶפָל" meaning to fall and "נֶפִל/Nephil" meaning giant. Try not to get these two mixed up.
No need to adjust the height of a giant to tallest human height. They are tall, many giant mounds in north America were opened in 20th century. We have tons of news reports in New York times. Those reports contains the heights of the skeleton.

In the Vedas , it is said that it was quite common for the peoples who were born in the Dvarpa yuga (the age before our present time) to be 10 feet tall and to live for one thousand years. Maybe pre flood giants that were larger than post flood giants. Supposedly, some of the skeletons were 30 ft tall. I do believe that Goliath was about 9 feet tall, give or take a half a foot.
LA Marzulli has written some very interesting books on the Nephilim and several giant elongated skulls on display in Paracus, Peru. They're not only elongated but have double rows of teeth and some other distinct differences to a human skull.

The issues I have with that passage in Amos goes back to ancient vernacular, in other words our modern day vernacular would use an allegorical phrase such as "It's raining cats and dogs" obviously that just means it's raining hard ;-) So Perhaps the prophet was using allegory, I guess we'll never really know , at least on this side of glory. Over the years of just regular research and learning, I guestimated the Nephilim to be approximately between 8-10 feet which fits in with all of the research you've done. Nice job. I would also agree that Goliath did not necessarily have to be extremely tall just to be strong. I had a friend who had a small frame, had to be about 5 ft something, and was a police officer. She was able to bench press about 300 lbs.

6 fingers can be handy sometimes. But it's a problem when you want to buy gloves. Socks can also be a problem. I have a big shoe size, for me it's already difficult sometimes.
We fail to mention all the measurements mentioned. Goliaths spear, armor and bed.. measurements of the tabernacle in cubits…. The Temple Mount…. Existing walls in Jerusalem…. And on and on giving a standard for the cubit and the Roman cubit. If the average height of an Isreali was around 5'4 then King Saul would have been no more than 6'0 .The Greek text puts Goliath's height at 4 cubits which is around 6'9. Makes sense to me. People today are on average about 5'8. So not all that much taller than people in biblical times. 6'9 is still a rare sight and definitely stands out. A giant. Even by todays standards.
Based upon King Saul offering David his armor, after David tried it on, David didn't complain about the SIZE of the armor, but rather his unfamiliarity in using it. David was no small boy if he could take on a bear or lion as he claimed (and we have no reason to doubt given his prowess in battle), so I suspect he was the same height as King Saul.
These giants do fit into modern archeology in that their bones have been found all over the world but of course that all gets buried by big brother, Smithsonian, Catholic Church, etc.

@amandodavid5061 It's known that he did not write the book himself. Much of the Old Testament was also not written by the persons the books were named after. Lots of it was on memory. Back then, they really worked hard to memorize events due to a lack of writing. It was inspired writing later on as well after the memories were passed on. I think that God helped them have flawless memory, inspired by the Holy Spirit. I have read the first book of Enoch and it parallels the Bible even through the New Testament, also in Ethiopian Church and areas where most all the writings originated it is still cannon and always has been along with Jubilees, Jasher, and a couple more I think. I really think it's legit. It just told a lot of things that people seeking personal power didn't want us to know because at one time, it was in what became our Holy Bible today. I recommend reading it, and Jubilees, idk much about Jasher yet, but im getting to it. It's obvious that the evil side of man has been trying everything to hide God for as long as we have been around. They don't try to hide the name, so to speak, but they want to make him into a myth.

All wrong. When someone uses a profane writing to define the Bible, he is at odds with God, Isa.8:20. Goliath's height is found in 1Sa.17:4... 6 cubits and a span. 1 cubit is about 18 inches by the short cubit whereas by the long cubit 20.4 inches. Goliath, by the shorter cubit... 18 x 6 = 108 inches/ 12 = 9 feet + a span is 6-7 inches = 9 feet 6 inches.

I am a Christian, and a degreed student of the Scriptures and your explanation is plausible. I never could quite grasp the 3000 ells in 1 Enoch. I have written about the giants. There are several giants that are extant today. Obviously Mr. Wadlow passed away, but Mr. Sultan Kösen is a Turkish farmer holds the Guinness World Record for tallest living male at 8 ft. 2.82 in. I would also include the late Mr. Matthew McGrory, a Hollywood actor who was 7 feet 6 inches tall. I will also add Shaquille O'Neal, who is 7 foot 1 inch tall, and a very large (not fat) man. So your treatise is certainly plausible.
Also consider several thousand years ago, it's quite likely there were more family groups represented. I was also looking for the height of giants for fun but pushed my research in all sorts of other areas such as the height of the Annunaki,Gilgamesh holding a lion under his arm like a small dog, Nimrod egyptian gods, Angels themselves, testimonies of people finding skeletons of giants between 1800 and 1950, doorframe on ancient buildings, giant books, giants swords found giving us an approximate size that a giant would have to be to be holding these items...not to forget the story of the giant of Kandahar, even interview with a person saying he mindspoke with a sasquatch creature saying that he is an Elioud descending from the Nephilim which the word poped out at me when i saw it in your video...trying to cover every area even going the Greek mythology route with the giants of 300 cubits could be referring to the Titans and the Olympians being around the height of some giants mentioned here...some mountains having the shape of giants petrified faces, again could be Greek Titans haha everything is good! There have been discoveries of the Arc in Turkey. The arc was supposed to be 300 cubits long. The measurement of the arc found in Turkey measured 450 feet. That is 300 cubits long.
There were two lengths of the Egyptian cubit. One was the standard cubit (18.6in) and the royal cubit (20.65in). The standard cubit was applied to anyone who was not of the nobility. Whereas the royal cubit was applied only to royalty and infrastructure (buildings etc). A king was measured in royal cubits, and everyone else was measured in standard cubits. Goliath would have been measured in standard cubits or (8'11") whereas king Og would have been measured in royal cubits (13' 6"). The ancient cubit was the same measurement throughout all the ancient cultures.
Exactly. Pre Flood giants were absolutely gigantic but I will not speculate on how big. We have no idea ho big 3000 ells is. Post Flood giants would've still been huge, I think the largest would've been 60 ft. Why? Both were based on the distance from the tip of the middle finger to the inside of the elbow along the forearm; this was the distance of the standard ell or cubit. There was also a royal cubit, which was a similar distance but to the outside of the elbow. The standard ell or cubit was about 18 inches, while the royal cubit was about 21 inches. The royal cubit was generally used in building measurements and in anything to do with royalty. The standard ell or cubit was used for everything else. This is verifiable in much of the archaeological documentation of ancient cultures. Especially that of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian regions.
Quite a good job, but no references to physics or medicine. Any human over 8 feet (2.4m) tall would be unwieldy and incapable of effective hand-to-hand combat. Wadlow had a disease, needed leg irons to stand up and died young. Basically, increased height is an advantage in a fight up to a limit, but the further one goes beyond that limit, the more disadvantageous it becomes. Body weight increases with the cube of the height but cross-sectional area only with the square of the dimension. There comes a point where one cannot support one's own weight.

I think I have read that Enoch was not actually authored by him, but books were often named after the main character. Enoch is dated between 700-400 BC I believe. Sometime during the exile. It was probably orally transmitted until then, because it does seem to have originated from before that time

Bones of very large human bones have been found and collected by places like the Smithsonian Museum. There are no bones like that to be found there it is believed that the bones were destroyed. Hybrids are always a lot larger than either parent. Think about the "Lyger" which is half lion and half tiger and is huge. Or think about the MULE, which is half horse and half donkey, but is much larger than either parent. So that may apply to a half Nephilim half human as well. In most hybrid cases the offspring is sterile. Most mules are sterile, although there have been odd exceptions. I believe that all mules are female but I'm not sure.

Yeah like what's the ratio of human to grasshopper, extrapolated that the other way from human to giant; let's say 69 inch human to 3inch grasshopper =23 to 1; thus 69 x 23 = about 1600 inches tall? how much is that in feet? 133 ft.? So let's arbitrarily dumb it down to "OG, king of Bashan" the last of the post-flood Giants, who had an iron bed that the Israelites used to keep in a specific viewing place. That bed was said to be, in modern terms, 6 ft wide and 15 ft long; which is just over twice as long as our standard queen-size beds of today. No matter how you slice it, those Rephaim were obviously scary tall to the Israelites.
Another input if I may. The Nephilim were MUCH taller before the flood. The ones that came after were still very respectfully tall, but no where close to before the flood. My personal guesses are pre-flood, anything from 20 ft. to low-hundreds of feet tall. After the flood, 20 ft. tall maximum, to less.

David as a shepherd would likely have been no more than 5 ft : a 6ft 6 inch opponent, more than double his weight, would have been imposing. From the story, Goliath was beaten by a combination of contempt and heavy armour : he so underestimated David, he took off his helmet, allowing a knock out blow with a stone.
It could be that the nephilim were tallest pre flood, then the second iteration (i.e. Og of Bashan) were shorter, and that the late iteration (i.e. Goliath) were the shortest overall. Thus, using Goliath as a standard for all nephilim seems presumptuous to me that their height was a constant
I would lean towards the taller height. King Og was a giant and his bed was 13 feet six inches long. The Israelites commented that they felt like grasshoppers among them, fitting more with someone one and a half times larger than someone only one to two feet taller. My best guess is the average was closer to 11 or 12 feet tall.
As to the Pre-Flood, Days of Jared Nephilim; IIRC, the Book of Enoch, says no; the babies tore their way out, and the Mums died in childbirth. As to the Post-Flood Rephaim; this was long after the ascension of Enoch, and I cannot recall him saying anything about them. If I had to guess, I'd say the Rephaim started out as human babies, infused with the spirits of the slaughtered Nephalim, and the mothers lived on. Giants were some more than four stories that 40+/- feet, several years ago, the Smithsonian Institution offered a very small apology in the newspaper related to destroying these finds and there were many.
There was a skeleton discovered in South America that was recently on display in a European Museum that is 35 feet tall. So many different sizes of 'giants' just found in North American mounds, so there is no real reason to believe they are all of a uniform size.

In the Bible doesn't say anything about the spirit of Goliath was a nephilim. It says that Goliath is a descendant of the nephilim. You can't just go by the measurement debate, but actual eye witness account written in Numbers 13:33 "We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” So that has to be put into the equation of what a cubit is; that their measurement of the time was depicting a monster that was so huge, he made you feel like a grasshopper.

Even with all this research it is still a mystery. My guess is that with any story handed down from generation to generation that the story becomes exaggerated. I think Goliath was around 6-5" - 7 feet tall, which is huge compared to a 5'-5" inch guy.
That's about where I'm at as well as far as a height estimate, I would guess somewhere between 6-8'-ish. I'm open to other options too if the right evidence became available. I saw a documentary video about giants and there was a skeleton of a Giant Person in a South American museum that was 12 feet tall. The government supposedly confiscated it and took it out the museum.
Years ago I heard of a 25 ft, skeleton found in an Egyptian cave. And they had pictures of the find. But there wasn't any research done on it, or at least as far as I know.. Yes, there’s a graphic going around of some of the tallest skeletons found buried with huge weapons and armor. One was buried in France near a river under a huge tree, its height was 25’ 6” and another found nearby was 18’ tall.

According to the Book of Jubilees, Chapter 29, verse 9, it is mentioned that the Rephaim were giants, and their height ranged from ten, nine, eight down to seven cubits. Considering a cubit is traditionally around 18 inches (1.5 feet), this would make the Rephaim giants approximately 10.5 to 20 feet tall. This detail aligns with the ancient traditions and texts that describe the Rephaim as beings of great stature. Just saying.

Right, Moses would not be afraid of an average height Canaanite giant. How could an average height Canaanite be so tall that the Israelites felt like grasshoppers. Anyone who tries to mess with the Bible is doomed to failure in the end. The height of the giants varied between the different Canaanite tribes and ranged from 8 ft to 15 ft and some of the Nephilim were even taller and stronger. This is the accepted numbers for the Nephilim, the giants were later beings father removed from the Fallen angel genes, so these alien peoples gradually got shorter as generations came and went. The world is full of monuments built by the Nephilim and later giants. There is no logical reason why an average height giant would not be able to lift 1.0 ton hexagon stones and place them on the walls of their temples. I am sorry, the world at large is full of examples of walls and temples built by the Nephilim and later by the giants. The average man today can lift straight up about 300 lbs and do it more than three times in a day. A few men today can lift even twice that weight, but they will not be doing it all day, which would be required to build something as big and complicated as a temple, like at Baalbek. When I was 35 years old, I could lift and carry easily an additional 200 lbs all day long. So a 7 ft Sasquatch is about 700 to 800 lbs and he can lift more than double their own weight. So a giant could do better than that easily. The Nephilim were genetically copied from the fallen angels and there are many references to the warrior angels being 8 ft tall. All we have to do is look at the Canadian wild hairy hog, which the Canadian government labs bred to live through the harsh Canadian winters and they are about twice the size of the Texas wild hog. So allot can be done with genetics. The Nephilim were experts at combining genes of different species, so it is not unreasonable for them to create even bigger giants than themselves. Some estimates say up to 35 ft tall in some cases.

When they talk about the giants being 3000 something, it wasn't cubit, (18 inches) it was an El (45inches). The bible and extrabiblical texts talk about giants so large that it took villages and kingdoms to feed them and when the food ran out they began to eat the people and then each other.

Neither the ell nor the cubit is a precise measurement by way of anybody's imagination. The 3000 els in some translations of the book of Enoch is a scribal error in some of the Greek manuscripts. The original Ge'ez (ancient Ethiopian language) in which the book of Enoch has been preserved does not mention anything of the height of the Giants. What it says is there were 3 variations of giants. The "great giants" were born of human women and watcher angels, the "Nephilim" were born of the great giants, and the "Elioud" were born of the Nephilim. "These were the heroes of old, men of renown." Nephilim means "earth-born." There are 2 Hebrew words that look very similar, but have quite different meanings. They are "Nephal/נֶפָל" meaning to fall and "נֶפִל/Nephil" meaning giant. Try not to get these two mixed up.

LA Marzulli has written some very interesting books on the Nephilim and several giant elongated skulls on display in Paracus, Peru. They're not only elongated but have double rows of teeth and some other distinct differences to a human skull.

The issues I have with that passage in Amos goes back to ancient vernacular, in other words our modern day vernacular would use an allegorical phrase such as "It's raining cats and dogs" obviously that just means it's raining hard ;-) So Perhaps the prophet was using allegory, I guess we'll never really know , at least on this side of glory.

I would also agree that Goliath did not necessarily have to be extremely tall just to be strong. I had a friend who had a small frame, had to be about 5 ft something, and was a police officer. She was able to bench press about 300 lbs.

If the average height of an Isreali was around 5'4 then King Saul would have been no more than 6'0 .The Greek text puts Goliath's height at 4 cubits which is around 6'9. Makes sense to me. People today are on average about 5'8. So not all that much taller than people in biblical times. 6'9 is still a rare sight and definitely stands out. A giant. Even by todays standards.
Based upon King Saul offering David his armor, after David tried it on, David didn't complain about the SIZE of the armor, but rather his unfamiliarity in using it. David was no small boy if he could take on a bear or lion as he claimed (and we have no reason to doubt given his prowess in battle), so I suspect he was the same height as King Saul.
How about king Og? His huge bed has been documented.

@amandodavid5061 It's known that he did not write the book himself. Much of the Old Testament was also not written by the persons the books were named after. Lots of it was on memory. Back then, they really worked hard to memorize events due to a lack of writing. It was inspired writing later on as well after the memories were passed on. I think that God helped them have flawless memory, inspired by the Holy Spirit. I have read the first book of Enoch and it parallels the Bible even through the New Testament, also in Ethiopian Church and areas where most all the writings originated it is still cannon and always has been along with Jubilees, Jasher, and a couple more I think. I really think it's legit. It just told a lot of things that people seeking personal power didn't want us to know because at one time, it was in what became our Holy Bible today. I recommend reading it, and Jubilees, idk much about Jasher yet, but im getting to it. It's obvious that the evil side of man has been trying everything to hide God for as long as we have been around. They don't try to hide the name, so to speak, but they want to make him into a myth.

All wrong. When someone uses a profane writing to define the Bible, he is at odds with God, Isa.8:20. Goliath's height is found in 1Sa.17:4... 6 cubits and a span. 1 cubit is about 18 inches by the short cubit whereas by the long cubit 20.4 inches. Goliath, by the shorter cubit... 18 x 6 = 108 inches/ 12 = 9 feet + a span is 6-7 inches = 9 feet 6 inches.

I am a Christian, and a degreed student of the Scriptures and your explanation is plausible. I never could quite grasp the 3000 ells in 1 Enoch. I have written about the giants. There are several giants that are extant today. Obviously Mr. Wadlow passed away, but Mr. Sultan Kösen is a Turkish farmer holds the Guinness World Record for tallest living male at 8 ft. 2.82 in. I would also include the late Mr. Matthew McGrory, a Hollywood actor who was 7 feet 6 inches tall. I will also add Shaquille O'Neal, who is 7 foot 1 inch tall, and a very large (not fat) man. So your treatise is certainly plausible.
Also consider several thousand years ago, it's quite likely there were more family groups represented. Genetics shows that humans have "nearly" died out numerous times, and certain groups of people, just like animals, have gone extinct for many reasons including unsustainable physical characteristics, possibly initiated by ill health or disease.

There have been discoveries of the Arc in Turkey. The arc was supposed to be 300 cubits long. The measurement of the arc found in Turkey measured 450 feet. That is 300 cubits long.
There were two lengths of the Egyptian cubit. One was the standard cubit (18.6in) and the royal cubit (20.65in). The standard cubit was applied to anyone who was not of the nobility. Whereas the royal cubit was applied only to royalty and infrastructure (buildings etc). A king was measured in royal cubits, and everyone else was measured in standard cubits. Goliath would have been measured in standard cubits or (8'11") whereas king Og would have been measured in royal cubits (13' 6"). The ancient cubit was the same measurement throughout all the ancient cultures.

Exactly. Pre Flood giants were absolutely gigantic but I will not speculate on how big. We have no idea ho big 3000 ells is. Post Flood giants would've still been huge, I think the largest would've been 60 ft. Why? Because in the 1000's AD, a pair of 60 fters was purported to have been discovered in what would be present day Turkey.

Both were based on the distance from the tip of the middle finger to the inside of the elbow along the forearm; this was the distance of the standard ell or cubit. There was also a royal cubit, which was a similar distance but to the outside of the elbow. The standard ell or cubit was about 18 inches, while the royal cubit was about 21 inches. The royal cubit was generally used in building measurements and in anything to do with royalty. The standard ell or cubit was used for everything else. This is verifiable in much of the archaeological documentation of ancient cultures. Especially that of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian regions.

Quite a good job, but no references to physics or medicine. Any human over 8 feet (2.4m) tall would be unwieldy and incapable of effective hand-to-hand combat. Wadlow had a disease, needed leg irons to stand up and died young. Basically, increased height is an advantage in a fight up to a limit, but the further one goes beyond that limit, the more disadvantageous it becomes. Body weight increases with the cube of the height but cross-sectional area only with the square of the dimension. There comes a point where one cannot support one's own weight.

Sir the biggest or pre-flood original born of fallen Angels giants can be seen still today. They are petrified into stone 🪨. In the Smoky mountains of NC there is a mountain called Grandfather mountain. It is the face of a man laying on his back, the Native Indians of North and South America have all kinds of stories passed down through their tribes of very tall Giant men living in America back before the pale faces invaded their lands. They only speak of male giants, I wonder why? Where are the giant females at? The only females spoken of is the Amazon tribe of women warriors in history. Think about how much they must have weighed and how thick and heavy their bones were? If the flood could kill dinosaurs 🦕 why couldn't it kill Giants? Just asking because Enoch tells you in the book how he learned to write ✍️ and who taught him. I don't want to spoil the book for you so I will let you read it for yourself to find out the answers you are seeking. But please sit down and make a time line on a piece of paper after you read the book of Enoch. I am assuming you have read the Bible and already have a certain time line in your head for the dates of "before the flood", "after the flood but before Jesus", and "after Jesus Christ to modern day". Honestly a time line helps me keep it all straight in my head. Enoch was the 7th grandson born from Adam and Eve.

I think I have read that Enoch was not actually authored by him, but books were often named after the main character. Enoch is dated between 700-400 BC I believe. Sometime during the exile. It was probably orally transmitted until then, because it does seem to have originated from before that time

Bones of very large human bones have been found and collected by places like the Smithsonian Museum. There are no bones like that to be found there it is believed that the bones were destroyed. We have football players who are that tall, a 6’9 380 lbs high school player in DeSoto Texas or a 7 ft tall defensive lineman. I thought Goliath had 3 larger brothers?

Hybrids are always a lot larger than either parent. Think about the "Lyger" which is half lion and half tiger and is huge. Or think about the MULE, which is half horse and half donkey, but is much larger than either parent. So that may apply to a half Nephilim half human as well. In most hybrid cases the offspring is sterile. Most mules are sterile, although there have been odd exceptions. I believe that all mules are female but I'm not sure.

Another input if I may. The Nephilim were MUCH taller before the flood. The ones that came after were still very respectfully tall, but no where close to before the flood. My personal guesses are pre-flood, anything from 20 ft. to low-hundreds of feet tall. After the flood, 20 ft. tall maximum, to less.
King Og was 12 feet. His bed measured 13’ long 6’ wide.

Henry VIII appeared to have a 12 inch foot : given the bibles referred to Goliath as either 6 or 4 cubits, with a cubit given as 18 inches, Henry would likely have considered a cubit could be 12 or 18 inches, depending on the author.
Henry was an active commissioner of building activity, the Mary Rose for example, he had to have a standard measurement. Claiming his foot was 12 inches, would have been a simple solution.
David as a shepherd would likely have been no more than 5 ft : a 6ft 6 inch opponent, more than double his weight, would have been imposing.
From the story, Goliath was beaten by a combination of contempt and heavy armour : he so underestimated David, he took off his helmet, allowing a knock out blow with a stone.

The most interesting thing about these giants is their strength, so unlike very tall normal humans.
It could be that the nephilim were tallest pre flood, then the second iteration (i.e. Og of Bashan) were shorter, and that the late iteration (i.e. Goliath) were the shortest overall. Thus, using Goliath as a standard for all nephilim seems presumptuous to me that their height was a constant

That's a scribal error in the original Geek manuscript. The actual measurement was 300 ells, albeit still an enormous height.

I would lean towards the taller height. King Og was a giant and his bed was 13 feet six inches long. The Israelites commented that they felt like grasshoppers among them, fitting more with someone one and a half times larger than someone only one to two feet taller. My best guess is the average was closer to 11 or 12 feet tall.

As to the Pre-Flood, Days of Jared Nephilim; IIRC, the Book of Enoch, says no; the babies tore their way out, and the Mums died in childbirth.
As to the Post-Flood Rephaim; this was long after the ascension of Enoch, and I cannot recall him saying anything about them. If I had to guess, I'd say the Rephaim started out as human babies, infused with the spirits of the slaughtered Nephalim, and the mothers lived on. IMO, this infusion had to have happened in the womb. Most of these cowboys were "invented" shortly after the Flood, by a descendant of Ham called Canain, or Canaim, and a guy named Nimrod . Most of the Tribal names of these giants, are the same as some of the sons of those two guys.

in this story, Shem is a good guy, and didn't contribute to that wickedness.

And yes, the KJV does talk about them having offspring. However, IIRC, only one female post-flood Rephaim Giant, is ever mentioned. So if those guys made babies, they better have been human sized during copulation.

We also devolved from what Adam really was. So we probably lost some height, and muscle. Some Nephalim survived the flood. Women just weren’t mentioned. Nor were a lot of things.
Giants were some more than four stories that 40+/- feet, several years ago, the Smithsonian Institution offered a very small apology in the newspaper related to destroying these finds and there were many.
By far one of my most favorite subjects it's easy to get fooled by ancient Indian burial grounds thanks to the Smithsonian.
There was a skeleton discovered in South America that was recently on display in a European Museum that is 35 feet tall. So many different sizes of 'giants' just found in North American mounds, so there is no real reason to believe they are all of a uniform size.

You can't just go by the measurement debate, but actual eye witness account written in Numbers 13:33 "We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” So that has to be put into the equation of what a cubit is; that their measurement of the time was depicting a monster that was so huge, he made you feel like a grasshopper.

Even with all this research it is still a mystery. My guess is that with any story handed down from generation to generation that the story becomes exaggerated. I think Goliath was around 6-5" - 7 feet tall, which is huge compared to a 5'-5" inch guy.
That's about where I'm at as well as far as a height estimate, I would guess somewhere between 6-8'-ish. I'm open to other options too if the right evidence became available. I'm actually finishing up a video on figures of speech used to describe their height. It seems there is an identifiable ancient metaphor being used in at least a couple of the height- related verses
