As a Michigander, I totally appriciate the copper ink for the numbers. It pairs really well with the Yooperlite as well as the origins of much of the mineral composition of the area that the rock was sourced from. :)

Well, it depends on the die in question. Your cheaper plastic/epoxy ones are extruded and tumbled to grind away ugly defects. The sharper edged ones take a bit more effort, but nowhere near this level. These ones take the extra effort because of being cut out of stone or crystal.
Clearly he means a set of custom made or high end dice. Ones that stand out and look amazing.
Yes, the precision needed. Does make them expensive, but like anything of quality. Worth it for those that want it.

You could go over the numbers with a transparent flourescent paint! So in normal lighting it keeps the pretty copper but when you shine the UV light, the numbers glow and stand out more as well!
Could maybe find one that fluoresces close to copper-oxide teal, continues the copper theme and contrasting nicely with the orange of the stone. Not sure if teal is possible, but honestly either green or blue would work pretty well.

As someone hailing from Michigan, I gotta say, the copper ink choice for the D20 numbers is spot-on. It totally vibes with the Yooperlite and symbolizes the badass mineral richness of our region. It's freaking cool to see how they dug up that rock and turned it into this glowing work of art. Seriously, keep rocking those amazing creations! I'm stoked to see what else you come up with.

just wanna express HOW glad i am that youtube recommended me your amethyst video a few weeks ago. every single one of your videos so far somehow combined like... 3 of my favourite types of niche content: pretty minerals/crystals, fancy dice and/or cool geometric shapes in general, and watching the step-by-step process of someone creating something cool in a really satisfying way. which then ends up resulting in the ULTIMATE brain-scratching content for me so i'm having a great time :D

A contrasting black light sensitive paint would be dope for the numbers too. Numbers kind of got lost during Barbarian mode.

Neat stuff. I found a yooperlite that glows pink rather than yellow. I've yet to see another one like it.

A while back you had a video on making rubies. When I saw that I though, “I’m going to make a ruby to cut into a die”. Obviously it would be a bit tough to make one big enough to dice. Some day I’ll make a die from corundum, there are definitely synthetics out there big enough.

That was an amazing video. I have picked up Yooperlites, slabbed them, tumbled them, but never considered making dice from them I'm not into D&D, so dice aren't really something I think about too much, but it was fascinating watching you work. Thanks for an awesome video.

I get that the saw blade is a bit too small, but the compromises on size gives your videos a charm that's all its own. There's something cozy about the layout and tools you use and the way you use your space that I really dig.

This is simply amazing. I live not far from the Franklinite mines Franklin in New Jersey. Their collection is unreal and I've been wanting to see someone make dice out of phosphorescent stone. It looks beautiful! There's a large blacklight room with the walls filled with rocks brightly glowing specimens and there's a shop where you can buy loads of it rather cheap because it's rough stone straight from the mine or you can go hunting for your own among the rubble. I have baseball sized stones from the shop, but there are much larger specimens if you want something bigger. I highly recommend taking a look.
In one sitting at 3 am I watched ever video. Your videos are truly impeccable. I felt like i was watching a documentary the likes of planet earth.

I think it’d be amazing if you could use a luminescent paint, like Super-Luminova (for watches) to bring out the dark fire. Comes in different colors, and you can tint it to match your preferred outcome.

A die made of Franklinite would be pretty cool too. It also has florescent properties. It's called "Franklinite" because it was first discovered and identified in Franklin, New Jersey at the Franklin Mineral Mine.

I had no idea these awesome looking Yooperlite even existed. I lived in Grand Marais MN during a significant part of my youth, so the shores of Lake Superior hold a special place in my heart. I can't tell you how many times I go through life kicking gems just because I think they're stupid rocks.

Holy cow where has this been all my life!? As a yooper and rock hound I absolutely love this. On the topic of Michigan stones have you ever considered doing a banded iron d20? Much like the yooperlite it's very unique to the area being one of the few places you can readily find it on the surface. If you're interested I've got banded iron pouring out of my ears and would be more than happy to arrange shipping you some to play with.

I have a character named Ambrose Harwood who is an Aasimar Ranger (which is the least picked combo of race and class) and I think this dice would be perfect for him. The polished granite-like surface reflects his years in the mountainous terrain he calls home and the fiery iridescent glow would reveal his true demigod heritage. This is gorgeous, I wonder if there is a shade of fluorescent paint close to the copper you chose. I could imagine rolling this dice under a light and having only the 20 and the 1 flare up with light if rolled.
