Dave, very helpful! I like your use of many image examples and I was starting to catch on as we went along. But then the girl in the eyeglasses image with the easy background color change including the tweak to leave the skin unaffected was an eye-opener. Followed by the re-color of just one of the colors in her top sealed the deal! You are right: there is a lot of power in the HSL tool. Thanks for the enlightenment (pun intended)! 💥👍
It is a pity that HSL does not work for local settings (for working with masks). Then it would be possible to work more accurately with the areas of the photo. This is well done in Capture One and Luminar Ai. But here is a compromise and unfinished version. Not all photos can be accurately corrected and retouched...
Agreed, it won't be truly useful until it's combined with masking. C1 has this and it is a really powerful technique. Almost certainly DXO will be doing this in the future :-)

Glad you did a DXO tutorial today. I just upgraded my MacOS to Big Sur and Topaz Adjust AI is now broken. Hopefully Topaz Labs fixes Adjust AI this week. I purchase the DXO software based on your recommendation, so this tutorial inspires me to do more experiments with DXO.
I love expanding my tool Lol awesome video good man !! I have by far and away gotten so much out of these very rich and not overly long I feel like DXO puts plus 60 minute shows on and the man like I am or more like a boy mine than a man's body has the attention span of like maybe 78 minutes and that's on a daily regimen of Adderall anyway TMI but please your work is so great and more so and will equally as your ability to articulate the points which sometimes gets lost in the abyss of ego or cover up and you are anything but that sir thank you

I will do a video on the local upoint adjustments with the Hue adjustment. It works extremely well for changing the color hue with superb accuracy.

That was great! I’m just starting out with PL5. I’ve watch several demos of the HSL color wheel, but this is the best of them.

They have Upoint technology which is very excellent.
