Nice to meet another cast iron fan 🤗 what’s your favorite thing to make in yours? I’m so thrilled! I already posted a recipe I did in it, it was a shrimp and sausage soup. It’s came out so good 😋 thank you so much for subscribing! Is so nice to have your here!
@@JoyfulYessiMy favorite things to make right now are Kalua pork, birria, pot roast and coconut curry. Also, Rice and beans come out perfect every time. Looking forward to watching your content!
Thank you!!! I’m so over the moon! I’m actually sharing a new recipe with it in tomorrow’s video 🤩 What are some of your favorite things to cook in it? Any tips for me?
@@JoyfulYessi I make stuff like chicken noodle soup, beef vegetable soup, beef stew, chicken and dumplings, stuff like that. Oh, I did make coq a vin in it one time ...well, because it's French, you know? LOL . No real tips, it's just like any other dutch type oven - I usually start with a low to medium heat to get it fired up and warm and then just find that perfect spot where it simmers. I have a gas stovetop so I play with it. Oh, keep those little rubberized plastic thingies it comes with that separate the lid from the pot and use them. Less chance of getting a nick in the enamel that way :) Have fun!
@DianePahl Omg! I love this! Thank you for sharing! I’ve never tried coq a vin, definitely want to give something French a try! 😂 BTW thank you so much for the tip on the rubber thingies lol I would have never thought about that! That’s genius! 🥰
@@JoyfulYessi Try coq a vin - it's really not hard - just prep everything ahead of time and follow the directions - step by step. I think the more I make it, it won't seem so daunting - it's just following the steps - give it a shot! And, it's very good.
I I have a thing for cast iron too 😊I subscribed based on your excitement for this pot😂 Love that color!
