I love Taylor’s lounge. So bright yet really cosy. Yeah her kitchen is definitely quirky but she’s made it look really great as she has with the rest of her apartment. Plus she drinks Yorkshire Tea! 👍
“No one has dryers in Europe” Maybe not in France but I guess I’ve had a dryer here in Denmark for at least 20 years. So dryers are very common in Denmark
Thanks to Taylor for sharing her home with us! I love her decorating skills! Please tell her that she has such beautiful hair, the curl is lovely, and the cut she has and the way she styles it suits her sooooo well!
Lovely apartment! I am interested in learning more about Taylor’s experience teaching in France. As someone finishing my last year as a lector and wanting to stay in France, it would be insightful to learn about her path to becoming a teacher here.
Taylor has been on a profession liberale visa for freelance theatre/english teaching with several schools for years now, and recently successed in obtaining a European passport through heritage, which is very exciting!
Nice place to live. Just for comparison I live in expensive Switzerland and pay the same for rent, the only difference being that mine is a new build and I have 75 square metres (+ 13 square metres balcony space) - double the amount in this video and even that is considered to be more on the pricey side of things.
ok nicely done, it is so great to really see what its like to live in Paris. I love how despite the set up she made it her place. I keep hearing how hard it is to rent in Paris, However, do your research, have a positive attitude and know someone that knows someone. lol Traveling to these countries are amazing but living in them are two different things, Merci beaucoup.
Awesome piece. Thanks for doing this. Yes, Taylor, must have some very satisfied students. People should not compare to NYC rents. Paris in itself is pretty expansive. What Taylor is paying is basically the equivalent to a month salary of a minimum wage worker.
The apartment was actually fumigated a few times for both cockroaches and bedbugs, and they got ride of any furniture that was infested. It was a long process, but got there.
@@JaySwanson Hate to be 'that person' but even in France, people have dryers. Not sure how 'common' they are but people do have them. I am one of them. They are for sale in shops so people are buying them. Where I live in France, and my current circumstances, I simply wouldn't have dry clothes in winter without one. It also works great. I know most people in North America don't like front loader washing machines and non venting (condenser) dryers. Saves having to put a hole in the wall though. In the warmer months our clothes are hung outside where we have lots of space. Just not practical in these colder wet months.
Plein nord, tarabiscoté et bas de plafond pour 1300. Voila ce que l'on est pret a payer pour vivre a Paris dans des quartiers qu'on aime (born and raised). Its bittersweet to me not to be a downer. Mais good for Taylor if she enjoys !
No one told that Better Help has been a scam for many years now, and that is hurting by runnig their ad on your channel for one I unsubsrcribed from you for this reason no I did not watch this video which is sad because I live in France however I do not help scammers even if you don't see that their are sorry not sorry!
this is one of the worst apartments ever - how anyone wants to pay that much for that mess -i cannot follow that thought process- I guess the apartment situation in Paris is dismal.
It's a cute apartment. And unfortunately rent prices like those are very common in the US as well now. Even for one bedrooms/studio apartments. Don't be completely out of touch.
Jay! She’s so great! Her energy is wonderful. Her apartment is lovely and cozy too. Love this Paris apartment series!
Happy you enjoyed it!
This is such a CUTE apartment! I absolutely love it, and how cozy it is. And, her personality is so warm - someone you'd want to be friends with.
Ok but the Orange and Grey Grout combo is fabulous. Straight out of a picture book.
Definitely a cute vibe
I love the apartment, especially the living room ceiling. Even the quirky kitchen is nice.
It's great!
I’m appreciating this apartment series. Thanks.
You're so welcome!
Hygge is the word that means cozy and I believe it's said: "hoo-guh" in English.
Hygge is Danish, gezellig is the Dutch one....

Taylor is adorable as well as her apartment! Love her energy!
She's the best
Thanks so much to Taylor for sharing her space, and to you for doing this series! Thanks!
My pleasure!
I love paris apartment visiting videos like this - thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed!

Color me jealous 😅
Ja dore! Thank you for the tour! Dream it! Be it!
Gosh, this Taylor is absolutely lovely!!!
Isn't she?!
I’m so lucky to have a dryer! Of course I live outside of Paris, love my dryer.
Man I miss dryers haha
That was wonderful and Taylor is such a lovely person! Hugs from Palm Springs
She rules =D
Love this series. Thank you Taylor for letting us into your beautiful and cozy home.
Thanks for watching!

Wonderful! Thank you, Taylor, for all the great tips!!
She's on it!
Big bonus points to Taylor for Yorkshire Tea, a sure sign of a person of taste and distinction!
Haha people seem divided on that!
This book collection is 🌟golden🌟
It's a solid collection.
Cute-EST couple. No pressure just sayin’. And the way she treats the pup too. Keep her! 🥰
Hey, it’s the London mug!
It is! Thus Cooper acting like he owns the place ha

I'm enjoying this series too, fascinating. Great flat and Yorkshire tea as well.
Finding a good cup of tea in Paris is a nightmare!
The tea game here is weak indeed
How does one check for bed bug infestation in paris when apartment viewing?
Very nice apartment, and I like the decor.
Glad you like it! Taylor will be happy to hear :)
The word is cozy...Hugga (ph. hoogah) or Hugglie (ph. hooglie) and it's Danish but likely the Dutch have a word for this too.
Gotta love some cozy vibes

Definitely a challenge to get settled, but once you're through the door things do get easier.
Such a gezellig (the word you were both looking for in Dutch!) spot! ❤
Yes! Thank you!

That lovely lady is like sunshine!
Fact!
Jay, your Amazon gear list link is not working
Thanks for the heads up, looking into it!
What are building charges? Thanks.
I love it! Super jealous. Enjoy!
The apartment is so cozy. Exhibit A: Cooper passing out on the sofa.
He's in, and he's out 😆
Hi Jay I watch your videos daily! The Swedish word for cozy is ….drum roll…”Hygge”.
Good ol' Swedes =D Cozy to the end
Hygge is a Danish word, not Swedish :-) But it does mean cozy
Where is the toilet? (and Bidet?). Was it a chambre de bonne?
Oh man! We totally skipped the tiny toilet. How did I miss that?
I can’t watch these apartment vids without seething with envy 😂
😂
1250 Euros is super cheap. In my city--LA--one bedroom apartments are $2400.
Bananas
1250€ for 36 metres squares is not cheap. Salaries in Paris are not huge
What a lovely woman!
She's great!
Gezellig 😂...gazelle g 🔥⛄🐕🌻🌲
Cozzyyyyyy
How did she get rid of the bed bugs?
The apartment was actually fumigated a few times for both cockroaches and bedbugs, and they got ride of any furniture that was infested. It was a long process, but got there.
Taylor has a fan club in Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 😂
🎉
The word...; "Gezelligheid"..? 🤔😀
😂
What if she did work on the apartment but did not charge the apartment for the work? 🌴🌴Aloha
👍😎
🥂
Hold on, I never had a house, apparemment or room without a washing machine and dryer. And European. Hygge is the Danish version of Gezellig.
Maybe it's just France then? Dryers aren't done over here, and if they are, they certainly don't dry the way North American dryers do!

Mind me asking what brand you have if it works great? Emily, who works for me, hasn't managed to find one yet and she lives in a rainy area XD

In Dutch we say: "gezellig"...
I wouldnt say that having a shower in your bedroom is very french, i promise you, this is weirdddd but yours is eprfect for this flat 💜💜💜
Ummm so we’re back to feeling claustrophobia again. That aside, it’s a beautiful apartment with great decor.
😆
I like how she made sure to have room to dry her bedding...a dude would just throw them out and get new ones.
You date her Jay or ask her out?Hopefully

haha, hate to break it to you but she is not

yes it is making the comments: Hygge. its danish. 😁
lovely apt - thanks for the tour. energy bills are soul crushing these days.
Love some Hygge 🥰
@@JaySwanson Theres a book called "the little book of hygge". theres a chapter on lighting/atmosphere. :)
