@@jjjackal1110 How Jean does Fall Damage. How you can get 2x Fall Damage. How her Burst does Anemo damage when enemies enter / leave the field. How you can throw enemies into ground so they don't go so far. All those type of combat tips you covered I had not been exposed to before in other guides that just cover artifacts, weapon, constellations, and team compositions.

the statement about jean making a team "unkillable" is so true 😭I've had her for a long time and her healing is so good, to the point i never made food for myself ever and only when i started bothering with spiral abyss and had to run a team without jean did i realise healing from food was a thing
Wow😂. That brings me back to the past when I was trying to make my second team for the abyss. I would try dps characters and would always miss jean's healing in a team. That combo of high damage and healing is so good

Thank you for this! It is by far the most elaborate Jean guide that has been put out recently! I'm currently trying sunfire but still wracking my brain regarding the last unit of the team cause I'm patiently waiting for Ayato rerun and don't have Raien either as of yet sadly, my main dps options aren't that great for that team yet so I'm relying on the swirl damage lol.
You're welcome, thank you for the kind words! Ayato and raiden are really good for sunfire, but other characters can act as the main dps of the team. Other hydro and electro characters like childe or yae miko can be good, if not as good as ayato or raiden. Even a cryo character like ayaka or ganyu can work as the main dps. Cause melt will be consistently triggered, these teams are really strong. If you've got the characters I mentioned, I think it's best to use them until you get ayato or raiden

Just picked up Jean recently since I lost 50/50 making her C1. As someone who does coop primarily playing healer/support I am surprised how much fun her E utility gives to teammates. Quickly pulls light enemies to a single spot and be a constant pull for 5 seconds. E pull has priority over overcharge knockback and most character abilities/auto that usually send enemies flying afterwards. Additionally, the pull isn't as unhinged compared to other anemos, keeping targets stationary at a single spot. Lastly, Jumping/dashing cancels E to keep the group of enemy in the same spot without the knock back but lose out on particles and damage.[Still need a dps set for her, currently running her on maiden 4p atk pieces temporarily]

You can also throw them straight up.
Then then wont get pushed away at all and you get the fall damage 😀
The animation is like 0.5-1.0 seconds longer tho as they have to go up before they come down.

I finally got my first Jean and her C1 using the monthly fates and I have almost Nothing prepared for her, so an "all-rounder" Jean guide like this one helps a lot 😂👍

I was planning on doing some crazy main dps build that consists of 4 piece heart of depth with either skyward blade or flute as a weapon, i cant decide which one yet but literally nobody reccomends flute and its just such s shame for me cuz i adore the design on this weapon, it also feels like it suits her dps oriented playstyle.
The flute can be used by jean, honestly its a pretty good weapon for her, but if I'm not mistaken, as players progress in the game there are better f2p options. Cause of this I didn't mention the sword, but if you have refinements, it's probably better than most of the 4 star swords I mentioned. Also the flute will likely be better than the skyward blade, since it gives about 140 atk more. So you can continue to enjoy that sword
Jean is the only character I’ve had and never quite knew how to build. Been through so many sets and even a physical build 😂 I settled for 2 piece vv 2 piece echoes and made her a sub dps on my party with Xiao. She’s a Jack of all trades so I don’t think there’s a build you could fully wrong with
Exactly, though i've always preferred her as main dps, now with dendro and the wanderer, I've been using her moreso as a support and healer. And I've still been enjoying playing her despite this big change in playstyle, it's because I really like Jean, and cause that Jean is fulfilling so many different roles despite being one character, its as you've said shes a jack of all trades

Opinion on Shimenava for physical Jean? I have Aquila Favonia, so tons of physical dmg % with the goblet combined already. It also compensates for the missing heal! (in theory, I just got Jean)
It could definitely work on jean, I have never tried it out on her but I feel like it could deal really good dmg. Though perhaps not as much as 4 pale flame since its basically the best set for physical dps'. But everyone's case can be different. The only problem I see with shimenawa is without Jeans burst, your team will have less healing and possibly end up dying in fights where there are really difficult enemies. Though you will be normal attacking a ton so in most cases this shouldn't really be a big problem.

I just tested the sunfire with nahida and xq. The dendro cores instantly proc burgeon within the field which is really cool imo
Do you think this has practical use? I cant really test bc i just got jean and dont really have her build yet. Also i'm not sure who procs the burgeon wether it counts as jean through the swirl which would be nice or if its bennet
On a side note i tried a little more and its sadly really hard to get dendro cores in the first place since burning procs most of the time instead of bloom

Is it worth leveling her attack talent? I got her a week ago in the standard banner and only upgraded her skill and burst. She's very viable, she acts like a support that can deal decent damage. The thing that makes me like her more is her burst animation. It reminds me of my dream 5 star character Raiden Shogun.
It depends on how you plan to play her. If she'll be a dps then you should level her talents. She can deal good attack dmg as long as you invest in her

Uhmm this might be a dumb question, but is it possible to use geo construct, like for example geo traveler's E, climb Jean on the construct and use her E to pull enemies from below and shove them above, for greater falling damage? 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Not a dum question at all😂😂 You definitely could, but I don't think solely relying on fall dmg would deal good enough dmg for the abyss. So it can work, but the team is moreso a team for fun I'd say
Btw, as much as ppl hate on Mika, is it just me, or c6 Mika would be a great support for dps Jean? I mean obviously crit dmg boost on her attacks will be massive, with her scaling and also his atk speed increase can't hurt... + extra healing will pretty much cement your team as unkillable... And I know c6 arguments are not great, but let's be real. If 4* is on a banner you really want c6 is pretty possible. For example I dumped all my saved gems on Ayaka banner and got 8 Diona coppies and 5 Mika coppies. This was with about 14k gems invested...
C6 Mika would be really good for jean but outside of c6, not really. If he buffed her charged attacks then he'd be amazing for her. And C6ing a 4 star character isn't really reliable, of course it can happen but its all random and luck. For example I wanted c6 mika so I wished around 120 times, yet I only got him twice. I spent primos close to you but got mika much less. So though its possible to c6 a 4 star, its very difficult to do so there's so much luck against it. Congrats on your c4 mika btw!
@@jjjackal1110 I guess I was lucky. I started genshin at the end of March and played f2p up until recently where I got one welkin and 1 bp. So I had accumulated in total 34k gems. I poured everything into Ayaka banner, since I really wanted her. Ultimately I got lucky and got c6 Mika yesterday with my very last wishes! It is actually kinda crazy. My jean has crap artefacts (I was forced to put bloodstain sands with ER lvl0 to get the bonus, since I just couldn't get anything better.) lvl 90 harbinger weapon and lvl 5 basic attack and with mika E + Q (his E is lvl 3 or smth from constelations) and he has crappy noblesse... Anyway my Jean charge attack is 9k... which I honestly think is quite impressive... I have no constelations on Jean and also weapon could be waaaay stronger and her ba talent can go up 4 more levels.... Not to mention that if we have c2 Jean and c6 mika, the attack speed buff is insane. Mika crowned E is 25% atk speed at lvl 10.... Jean will heal insane ammounts making your team immortal basically... But yeah, rolling for a 4* is usually a bad idea. But maybe mika will move to standard banner soon and more ppl will get him...
can you change the beidou of the first team with any other characters?? (i dont have her and lisa is the only other electro i have)
definitely, you could use lisa in that team since to cause superconduct you're going to need electro. But within that team I showed, I highly recommend taking out fischl (but if you do end up getting fischl use her over lisa) and replace fischl with xingqiu. This is a team I've been using as of late, which I really like. Superconduct isn't a great reaction so at times it feels sort of weak, but xingqiu solves this problem by increasing the team's overall damage with his burst, and causing taser or electrocharged to occur, while superconduct also occurs. If you don't have xingqiu, I highly recommend getting him, but anyhow, perhaps try barbara or another hydro character and see how the team plays

You're welcome and wow congrats! For sunfire the new sword would be better since Jean's dmg won't come from her crits but her swirls through em. But jade cutter is really good so anytime you want to run her as a main dps or even as a sub dps outside of sunfire she'll be great

What your thoughts on the wanderer's art set for Jean?
I ran the set through a genshin damage calculator and its pretty good. It deals slightly less physical damage than 2 pale flame / bloodstained, it's basically on par with 2 pf/bloodstained, so in terms of standing its the 2nd/3rd best set behind 4 pale flame. For a physical jean it can definitely work, so its a good option if you build you wanderer and decide to play physical Jean, but if you already have a good physical jean set its not worth it
She’s the first 5 stars I got and my only c4 5 stars but I never even looked into building her until I put her into my Friendship team.

I use on her Festering Desire sword. I start use her in "random coop" weakly boss domain. Nobody wanna be healer and she can be good for dps and her heal is eanough for these parties.
Whenever that happens I just switch to jean and play as a dps, but I know how you feel😂. Sometimes though people will play qiqi which is kind of surprising

I only started playing this way with random people in co-op in the last few weeks, but it is unbelievable that:
1.: everyone is Russian. This is devastating because you cant even thank them because they dont even understand (most of them). My native language is not english, but sometimes it is nice to chat in-game.
2.: Around people, 3-4 characters are used in the game.
I met Xiao most of the time. I don't think there is a game without Xiao.
Hu Tao-Yelan. I think it is because they are popular now because of the current banner.
Raiden. The problem with it is that very few people have good enough build on her. Mostly she is just dead weight in party.
Scaramouche and Alhaitam. the next group.
It is rare to see a Ganyu, Kokomi, Ayaka, Yoimiya.
I find this trend really sad.
I always try to adapt to the team, but it is sad that others dont do this even minimally.
Where is a Nilou, Nahida, Eula, Ayato, or any other 4start character? I think it is cool when you show that I can make a good character out of a weak character.
Very rare when i can be not a healer in party then i show my Fischl, Keqing, Lisa, how they can be strong. But i guess my Jean is good enough too.
I once saw a man who used Chongyun and he was quite good. Another person and Diona, both times I left the party smiling :3
@@davidtamas6624 Wow my co op matching is pretty different form yours. The people I meet up with are always native English speakers, and they usually use random characters. Aside from zhongli, people use different characters for the most part. The fact you always see a xiao is funny, I rarely see him. People usually just run their favourite dps. And that's true about the variety of characters, and use of 4 stars in the team. I guess people just don't like using supports. Nor do they want to use characters that are not popular or usually not used, in hopes of not bringing the team down. But I usually use off meta or not popular characters, just cause they're secretly strong to where they help out my team and make people surprised. And now that you mention it, I do wish people would bring out their non meta but strong characters. I haven't seen characters like that in long but they're always nice to watch

@@davidtamas6624 I do play on the american server, so that probably is the reason. I also don't play a lot of co op so maybe my experiences aren't representing the entirety of the American server. Maybe everyone's the same😂
Idk am I doing it wrong to build her. And today it's Jean's birthday too. My Jean is a Hybrid build. With Amenoma Kageuchi R3, VV, ER sands, ATK Goblet, Crit rate Circlet. Because I want team's survivability more. Needs to change something? Because I can't take more efforts to grinding for changing artifact's stats.
I get what you mean, artifacts can be a huge pain. But i would say to change jeans er sands for an atk one. Jean will already be getting extra energy from the amenoma, so its not really worth it to run an er sands. Having atk from her sands, goblet and weapon will make her healing great, so that'll help you with survivability
Does her c4 stack with VV shred?
Cuz if it does, that must be fakking busted.
If it doesnt, this would make VV almost useless on her if you have c4, wouldnt it?
VV does stack with her c4, but the thing is that vv doesn't shred anemo resistance, but all other swirlable elements. Anemo doesn't swirl anemo if that makes sense. Though you can swirl pyro and increase its dmg, you cant do the same for anemo itself. So it's still worth to run vv on her since she'll shred the res of the other elements, and also shred enemies' anemo res.
I'm at 45 pity on standard banner. Did a single pull then finally got my first Jean, pulled 2 singles pulls again and got another Jean. So here I am with C1. 😂

I have all the upgrade materials, the gold, the farmed sets for her, I'm playing since 1.6 and not a single Jean drop ever since..... They really need to change how standard banner works.. Got c6 Thoma and c1 Tighnari from standard banner and not a single Jean (or Lisa.. For the record) 😢
You're right, I feel for you. The standard banner being purely based on luck is very annoying. You build all that pity just to get something you don't at all want, and this happens multiple times. I get its a gacha, but even then, the devs made some fixes with guaranteed 5 stars on the character and weapon event banners. I'm sure they could do something like that on the standard banner. Not to make this any sort of contest or anything but I've been playing since 1.0/1.1 and I have yet to get mona. The standard banner is really flawed

Wow 40-55k. I really like Jeans physical build as well, I find her charged attacks with big dmg satisfying, but part of me also really likes seeing big anemo numbers from her skill as well
@@jjjackal1110 Jean is my main Dps, therefore i build with physical damge. However if she was a support or elemental burst damge. Id def go for anemo damage. Since im f2p, getting other high dps character is quite hard haha.
What is your jean Build ?
In the video I used my physical jean build. She was using the aquila favonia, with 2 bloodstained chivalry and 2 gladiator. The main stats of her artifacts was atk% and a physical dmg goblet.

@@dark1883 Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get any notification for your comment. You could use ganyu, kaeya or Layla if you have her. But rosaria is the best because of her added crit rate and physical res decrease
Is Royal sword good for her?
It is, it gives a lot of atk and has a crit rate passive that's okay. But I'd recommend using other 4 star swords, like the ones I mentioned in the vid

a recent team I was considering was Jean, Bennett, Sucrose, and Faruzan

@@jjjackal1110 jean is supposed to be the dps while everyone else is support, still gotta work out the artifacts cause the ones on my account are mostly crap and I hate running the instance for VV artifacts almost as much as I hate floor 10-3-1 of the current spiral abyss (eremites are really tough when paired with fatui for people that aren't whales)

Wow u snuck into sumeru for dendro traveler?😂 But yes you being early in the game, you shouldn't worry too much about team comps. At this point you should just use the characters you already have and try you're best to pull other good characters

I just tried it and yes she can! I was hoping the cores would explode on the hit of her skill, but they only move with her skill. This can be really good when trying to keep the cores concentrated on a certain enemy, or keeping them all together. I wonder if there are other benefits?
