I love how a song will just be fine and then all of a sudden Louis comes in on the bridge or outro and blows everything out of the water. like, hey angel is just okay until the moment he comes in with that high harmony on the bridge and takes it up a notch. and his outro at the end of olivia is insane, they really saved the best for last on that one. his raspy voice in I want to write you a song, is the thing that I want to hear every night before I go to sleep and the first thing I want to hear when I wake up every morning. his part in drag me down brings in his punk edge which is so hot. I love end of the day and love you goodbye already but his bridges bring them to whole other level. him singing the second and last chorus on AM is perfect too and he really deserved to do more of the choruses because damn...

Love the Louis and Niall on this album. They found their sound when they weren't relying on Harry and Zayn so much.
They performed Infinity (amongst other songs) in the live lounge and Harry hit the high notes whilst being sick and on vocal rest!

I’m kind of surprise that none in the chat related “up all night” name of their first album to “made in the am” their last album and being am their last song. THIS THOUGHT HAVE ME IN TEARS
I’m new to them as well. I happened by some of their crazy videos and it made me look into how they got their start. I wish they were never marketed as a boy band, just a band…or they let them grow out of the stigma. This album is amazing. I love every song. This is a band! Their harmonies are awesome. They needed to do their solo work, I get that. Then they can come back together once in awhile to make new music. That’s my pipe dream.

But if I have to pick my least favorite I would have to say Hey Angel (I still like but I like the other tracks a bit better)
For me, Walking in the Wind is something which is DEFFO for Zayn. If you listen to Good Years, from Icarus Falls, you'll understand it... I mean
I know we'll be alright, child, Just close your eyes and see --> I close my eyes and see a crowd of a thousand tears(and take this with the context of how Zayn felt/his situation in 2014-15-16)
MITAM breaks my heart so much, not just because it was a 4-member album, but mostly because the said four members gave SO many implications that somewhere this album was meant a LOT for Zayn.

love your videos! about the break thing: yes, Louis did say in a recent interview that the ones who wanted to stop that said that it was just a small break, and that he asked for like a time window but no one gave him an answer. So yeah, he believed it was just a break bc that's what they said to him. I'm truly happy that he finally realized that it wasn't true and went for a proper solo career, although it's still unfair that they couldn't be completely honest with him, esp considering he says at that time it was when he was starting to gain more confidence.

I hope you do live version of Harry in Tokyo singing if I could fly. He always stop singing through the part that Louis sings. Long Way Down is my favorite off this album and I’m so happy you loved it! I love the parallels between what happens lyrically and sonically on “built it up so high and now I’m falling, it’s a long way down” 🥹
