Zayns only done like 5 interviews as a solo artist and isn’t really asked about one direction which is probably why there aren’t many clips of him.
Well, Zayn left the band, so I imagine most interviewers will stay away from the subject. Whereas the others are on hiatus, so technically still part of the band, so interviewers are bound to ask them about 1D.

28:10 Jeffrey, I’m surprised you didn’t know that Zayn left in the middle of a tour. Liam really wasn’t doing all those BSE and ‘you and I’ high notes for fun (although he slayed). He did them probably because he didn’t have much choice in the matter. He’s even spoken about how nervous he was, the first time he had to sing Zayn’s parts. Each of the guys had to rally and cover Zayn’s parts in order to complete that tour, although they must have felt awful. But Zayn’s recent live-streams are the happiest he’s seemed for a while, so hopefully he’s truly okay.
Niall honestly seems like the sweetest and most supportive guy, his energy is always incredible and he's always so grateful when it comes to fans too 💕
i don’t think it’s fair to judge what happened between zayn and the boys, because we don’t have all informations.
clearly, from what we have regarding zouis, people are gonna assume that zayn should’ve gone to the performance, which yes I agree, but again we don’t know what happened and Zayn never spoke on that, so we never knew his side of the story. At the time he dealt (still do today but maybe a little bit less) with really bad anxiety/social anxiety, and I don’t think going back to X factor, dealing with Simon, the paparazzi, the press, and the boys that he left on “bad” terms was something that helped him making his decision on wether going or not.
Now taking about the other four, they all had from 2016/2019 their “own” relationship but since the quarantine and everything, Liam, and even Harry confirmed that they have a groupchat and all talk regularly, so yeah they’re on good terms :).

I think that people just assume that Zayn didn't support Louis by not going, when he could have had helped him without having to go to the X Factor, a place where he knew he would be anxious. I also think that it's quite a private matter so we don't really know what happenned. We really can't say that someone did something wrong without having the full picture but we can support both of them cause we know that it was a hard time for both Louis and Zayn. (Just my opinion tho)

a little annoyed they didn’t include zayn’s wholesome speech at the asian awards when he thanks the boys and says referred to them as “four of the best guys” he’s ever met. and he says that he’ll never forget the band. also there are so many other interviews where he speaks so well of them, but people always seem to miss his good interviews, and just focus on his ones about the drama.

Honestly if you want Zayn content with the boys after the hiatus only Niall and Liam will really make you happy. Like, obviously they don’t hate each other but I feel like Harry and Louis aren’t on good terms with Zayn like Liam and Niall are. ESPECIALLY Liam, he’s always talking about Zayn and his music you don’t feel like they’re uncomfortable with each other or anything like that.
Louis and Harry are always a little bit more hesitant, they always wish him the best and all that but they’re not really as close with him anymore. At least to our knowledge, we never know what happens behind the cameras or whatever.

Liam said in his live he hasn’t spoken to zayn in 50 years. So I don’t think they have spoken. Liams just really supportive and will talk about them regardless of the terms he’s on with them. Niall though definitely talks to zayn from time to time.

Liam is honestly supportive of all of them I don’t think there’s any bad blood between him and any of the guys so I’m not surprised.

Like his reaction to ‘better’, ‘vibez’, ‘golden’ etc. I’m an early 2020 paynette, so I haven’t been in the fandom for long, but I honestly feel like, I love all the guys because Liam makes them all sound so great.
@@LB-ih7hn yeahh like to be completely honest with you I hate it when people keep asking him about the boys because he’s his own person and has his own career now which people can be asking about but I don’t feel like these kinds of questions annoy him that much, he’s always excited to talk about them and know what everyone is up to. Idk haha just wish people stop relating him that much to the boys but I also enjoy it when he talks about them (Can’t make up my mind lol). I joined the fandom in 2012 so I was used to getting content of the 5 of them every day, I think that’s why these little moments of them talking to and about each other these days mean a lot to me, sorta reminiscent and nostalgic..

You can see the light behind his eyes and you can tell he’s remembering what it was like before things got complicated. I feel like people won’t ever understand this about Zayn. He was the only one being forced to deny that he was a person of color and also a Muslim. The other boys and management will never know what that feels like. They can’t Imagine that type of identity crisis or the mental toll it takes. They have white christian privilege. It’s not their fault but it’s true. The issue was misguided management. It’s no doubt wrong to leave a commitment unexpectedly but the situation was primed for him to do that.

zayn's eating disorder and anxiety were getting so bad to the point where he had to leave. i don't think he should've risked his health and his life just to finish tour, so I disagree with harry saying it was unprofessional of him to do that. his wellbeing is more important than a job and he shouldn't be villainized for doing what's best for him.
i do agree that he should have been there at louis' performance to support him after his mom's death, but we have no idea what was going on behind the scenes.
But it was towards the beginning of the tour, he could’ve left before it even started, but I do agree, it was better for him to leave when he did then to risk his health!

I don't think Harry said it was unprofessional of him (I don't remember) but that he could have handeled it better. I imagine Zayn just left for a break (1 week break) and then announced that he isn't coming back. I think what Harry meant is that he should have talked about it with them and not just straight up leaving. But not talking in a way that they would try and change his mind but just generally talk with them about how he is feeling, what he is going through etc. I think Zayn never really cleared that up with them and that's why they parted on bad terms. And I do agree that he could have left on better terms. I understand why he did it, not everyone can openly talk about their problems, but still .... if they did talk about it they could still be real friends right now.
That kinda makes me sad.

I think that Zayn should have gone to Louis’ performance but I also understand why he didn’t. All the boys were going to be there, a bunch of press and they’re old management. It’s a lot of pressure and as someone with really bad social anxiety (like Zayn) I can’t say that I wouldn’t have done the same thing in his position.

Zayn had his own reasons for leaving and before i looked into it and what he had to say about it i was somewhat angry with him but after looking into his reasons and why i don't blame him at all. Sure he could've done it better but at the time i really feel like he did what was best for himself and his health and i have no doubt that it wasn't a decision he made lightly or quickly.

I love when we get clips of them talking about good memories and where you can see that they still care for each other. I want that campfire get together for sure.
We don't know and probably never will know what went down behind the scenes, we only know what happened in public and as with anything what we can actually see is only a very small part of it. We don't know them personally, we don't know how they felt and we don't know what was said between them. It's clear something happened and what we did get to see wasn't always pretty. When your emotions are involved you can't always see everything with clear eyes either. Most of them have said they didn't understand why Zayn left at that time but with time and more understanding they have also all said it was the right thing to do.
Its just so great that you dont talk down on anyone and genuinely have respect for people.
I always agree with everything you say in your videos, and i really share your opinion on pretty much all the matters. Just wanted to say thanks that you just leave it open and take in concideration that we obviously dont have all the information and very often just one side of the story. You dont jump into conclusions and i think we need more of that (especially in our fandom, because well, you know how some of us can be)

I love good years, zayn completely was opening up how he felt and it was beautiful how vulnerable as I'm sure we've all felt like that at some point
Zayn literally went through so much during the band he was close to dying cause at his last moments with the band he was getting way too thin due to his eating disorder, was going through depression AND his anxiety was so bad, he made the right decision to leave! He had to put himself and his health first. Louis and some people need to stop acting like "Good Years" was a diss to One Direction when it was obviously more about the management, the work overload and big crowds that he just wasn't comfortable being around. He literally thanked the boys in his speech and said he had some of the greatest times of his life with them. So he wasn't dissing the boys, he loved being around them, he just wasn't enjoying the work aspect anymore. They were the ones who cut contacts with him, Zayn literally said that after he left he tried to call them but none of them picked up, so he just was like "fine, I guess that's how it's gonna be". No offense, but you are a white person. You can't and will never understand how unfair this band and the media was to Zayn. Even during the band. They prevented him from talking about his background, his religion, they tried to white wash him. They let all the boys write songs EXCEPT Zayn. They always turn down his ideas, like no wonder he left. I would do the same damn thing. He put up with that horrible management and Simon for FIVE YEARS whilst dealing with serious health problems.

obviously they're going to act polite about each other publicly because they've been media-trained and don't want drama, but we have no idea what has happened in private. can't wait for a tell-all to come out from one of them 50 years in the future exposing all the secrets...
there are some moments that feel like subtle shade between some of them that i have picked up on, but most fans ignore it because they desperately want them all to still be friends lol. the only ones that i think are actually still friends might be louis and niall and louis and liam but who knows?
they don't hate each other nor dislike Liam talks about them and Louis says how proud he is thats not fake they care about other like family they went though things together and grew up together they will aways share that and they gotten a lot closer after the break since quarantine as well as the 10 year mark. they are all still friends yes not as close as used to be but they are. plus Niall even went to harry concert etc Liam and harry recounted at jingle ball and he talk about how happy he was to see.

Louis, Liam and Niall are certainly friends. Last year Louis’ even posted a comment on one of Liam’s live-streams for everyone to see, he didn’t have to do that. So he did it because he wanted to and it also meant he watches Liam’s live streams. Plus Niall has spoken about being in touch with Harry, Louis and Liam more than once, also they’ve spoken about their WhatsApp group.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m realistic, so I know it’s natural for them to drift apart and it’s not a bad thing if they are no longer friends, it’s just a little sad. However, clearly some of them are still friends.
I would die for them to make a 2 hour documentary but only the truth no control from management or anything just the truth ... never gonna happen ...
Sorry for commenting so much, lol. But yeah the whole Louis and zayn situation is messy. I love them all very much but, zayn not showing up was messed up. Louis always been there for zayn, and I just think zayn could of owed him back by showing up. But we obviously don’t know what zayn was going through at the time so it’s not something we can hold against him, but it just hurts since it really bothered Louis. I just hope the 2 can work it out at some point, their friendship was the best, they where the closest. :(

Louis got hate and was told he wasn’t good enough for the band there’s nothing they can do to defend each other from the cruel internet. I like the fact you have noticed (I didn't ... so you have the eyes of an eagle!) the woman who made a sign to louis, to tell him to stop talking about that (probably because if Louis 'd kept talking about "stress", he would have a lot to say ...) , and you point out that there is always somebody monitoring Louis when he answers in an interview, even recently , ant it's quite strange and meaningful. Fortunately, he is free now from his management, and better: he has just announced on Twitter that he is willing to create his own mangement company! It's a great new ). I don’t think they would come back without Harry it just wouldn’t work with 3 ppl. Liam, Niall, and Louis do want to go back they’ve said that, but I don’t think they would without Harry. Plus Harry’s said that he loves the band and would never be opposed to the idea of reuniting at some point so I’m sure if they do come back it will be with Harry as well
I feel like Liam’s kinda shifted his stance a little. He wanted a reunion throughout hiatus to 2020, but I feel like he did so many 1D songs in the LP1 Act 4 final show, that it just felt like a goodbye to 1D.
@@silverlyne4978 he was saying that he did that to retire not only 1d songs but also some lp1 songs for his next album, not that he doesn’t want the reunion I don’t think. Especially because he would sing like 75% 1d songs and then only like 4-5 of his own he just wants to have a new set list for future shows and might keep one or two one d songs like the rest did. That’s what I got from it, do you think with his next album that’ll completely change his stance against the reunion?
@@taya989 He sang 8 one direction songs and 11 LP1 songs, he never done that many one direction songs before. There’s been something different about him since his Christmas live-stream performance on Capital FM. I think he was saying goodbye to all things 1D related. I think he was ready for a re-union in 2020, since it didn’t happen, I think he’s now going to concentrate on LP2. But he still might consider a reunion in the future.

I can’t wait to see what he does with LP2 especially since he’s mentioned going in with a different and new vision and maybe a sound we’ve never heard from him before :)

2. You can’t blame him for leaving in the middle of a tour bc imagine how much he had to be going through for him to abruptly leave ONE DIRECTION in the middle of their LARGEST TOUR.
3. I didnt like the way you see how “harry is always busy with work” that’s why he doesn’t stay in touch but zayn is just you know, zayn. that’s a little messed up.
4. if you’re calling zayn out for not being in touch w them, maybe you should also look at how the boys treated him (esp, harry and louis) because of how they played victim and made zayn look like the bad guy when they said equally derogatory shit about him.

They never ever talked shit upon Zayn instead this year last year louis followed Zayn on instagram and also liked khai's first picture that Zayn posted. It's not at all right to judge zayn when you do not have his side of story...Louis and others give interviews so they share their side of it. Whereas zayn tends to keep his life and views a bit private and not justify every single comment made against him. That does not mean he's the one in the wrong place everytime. He may have made some mistakes..everyone does. But remember when he left the band he tried to reach out to the boys and they didn't respond. No one was their when he was dealing with his anxiety and other stuff. They got some space and got away with that so zayn deserves an equal chance of it. Give him a break. Anxiety is a really big thing to deal with.

Louis says everyone was invited to the X-FACTOR performance after his mother passed, but he literally shaded Zayn for a whole year (they had that fight on twitter). All of them were still very awkward, everyone of them insulted Zayn that year and were very angry with him. So I doubt Zayn was gonna walk into X-FACTOR when all that tension was still in the air. Zayn still sent his condolences online and wished him well.
it’s so irritating the way the media portrays zayn. it’s really sad how so many people don’t look at from his perspective. when he left the band, he said how he tried to reach out to the boys but they wouldn’t answer, and would throw shade at him all the time. he congratulated them on their album, and they didn’t respond. they also weren’t there for him when he needed them the most. a friendship should be a two way thing, yes zayn should have 100% been there for louis and he made the hugest mistake, but before that, they should have really been there for zayn when he literally felt the whole world was against him.

I just love it how people when talking about the whole Zayn situation just say "well okay, he had his reasons for leaving the band, but he could have timed it / dealt with it a little bit better" or (when talking about not showing up for Louis) "well okay, he might have been dealing with something then, but when your friend is going through something like that, you just gotta SUCK IT UP and go". Like, people, your privilege is showing.
