Santa 🎅 brought me this Rojo knife. Flush out with WD40, then Dawn Detergent & Hot Water. Blow Dry thoroughly with hair dryer. Add a couple of drops of Nano 10 weight. Enjoy😁. BTW had to do exact same to my Spyderco Shaman. I’m very pleased with both after putting through 10 🐺 SPA treatment. Also mine flies out quickest using “push button” rather than light switch
According to the KNIFE STEEL app, Sleipner is considered a "modification of AISI D2 tool steel," and "according to Lionsteel had better edge holding compared to Uddeholm M390 steel."
Nice video. I am sure you will work out those few issues. With that said, I don't care for the knife. To me the lock bar side looks a little clunky with the large lock bar insert, the roto lock, pocket clip, & glass breaker. It is a beefy knife of which I don't mind. I have heard others mention they have had some minor issues with their knives also. To me it doesn't command knife of the year status. I realize it was the titanium version that was picked.
Steve Kushman Just a bit of lube on the pivot did the trick. All good. But the lockbar is stiff compared to other framelock flipper knives that I've handled.
So youtube has decided to mess things up again. Did they bring the "reply" into the 21st century? I guess I'll find out soon enough. The deployment looks a little disappointing considering the parts involved. I just sold a Brous Reloader because it would only pushbutton pertty much. I'm a lot more forgiving of a cheaper knife that needs to be disassembled and cleaned for proper performance! The finish is gorgeous though, typically Italian.
Designwise it's "boring" and you can look at it and allmost see that not enough time in the CAD program is put in... It's edge:y and boring. You can see that the designer thought "Oh, let's make the rear not as thick etc, and just bent a few lines in CAD program. Nah, should have been more "flow" (splines in CAD design terms) and seems to lack idea what to create but a big integral block of a knife. Nah, no. I can't see the beauty - actually the opposite. It's a 2 out of 10 from me as it didn't flip very good, had a biiiig (with no gymping) flipper tab and not very good looking pocket clip. Nice review though, good job LTK! :]

LTK always puts out great reviews.

Steve Kushman I can understand what you're talking about. It's interesting that this knife got knife of the year......why ? I'm not sure...
First it's not Blue, second my Ganzo 720 fills my need for a clunky pocket filler. But LTK it was a nice review.
You mean the sr-1a clone?
