I hope mine likes the Federal Automatch too. I have quite a few boxes of it. The Automatch always shoots well in my rifles, so that's why I have so much!!
I actually sighted in my Super Wrangler with Auto match a few weeks before the video. The ammo was loose in an ammo can so I wasn’t sure. I checked it a few days later and it was auto match. I think you shoot good with it. Thanks for watching.
When switching between copper washed or copper plated bullets and lead round nose bullets, it is often best to fire one or two cylinders full in order to properly season the barrel in order to get optimum accuracy. Because 22 long rifle often uses lubricated projectiles and the lubricant on each projectile type is often different, it is important to season the bore and established consistency before shooting groups. While this is most noticeable in 22 rifles, any precision, accuracy, test in my opinion, should follow the same procedure.
Always nice when your gun loves the cheapest ammo! That stuff is 24 bucks a box of 325 at wally world and it is always in stock. Another good note is CCI owns that company. My Smith & Wesson M&P 22 loves this ammo also. My Super however, likes the more expensive Remington Golden Bullet ammo so I bought a bunch while it was available. Nice video and good score on your grips!
I got my super wrangler on the way can’t wait! I would love to see this test performed in reverse, start with the auto match in a cold pew pew and work backwards, just to confirm results. Thanks for the video.
Good idea. As soon as the weather clears, we’ve been getting rain the last three days, I’ll do that. Thanks for watching. I know you’ll love the super wrangler. BTW, I’ve had no issues whatsoever with mine.
Give CCI Suppressor a try. I've been getting great groups with it in my 22 handguns. Its consistent and has produced the best groups Ive ever shot in my S&W 41 and S&W 17 and also shoots very well in my Browning Buckmark
Thank you and thanks for watching. I went out the next day and bought 1275 rounds for 79.00 something. That’s my go to ammo now. It consistently 2” and less groups at 15 yards for me. I’m happy with it.
True. It’s hard to fine the perfect day around here to shoot. Seems like the wind blows right through that valley everyday. I’m planning to do it again soon but a little different next time. Thanks for watching.
I shot a couple of Glocks. I think one was a Glock 43 compact .40 it kick a little harder than a nine. The biggest reason I don’t own a .40 is I have a couple of 9mm carbines a MP 5 and 3 pistols all 9mm. 40 cal ammo cost more. I have nothing against a .40 it’s a great carry gun.
@@HotLeadretired Thanks i want to get a 40 cal just more stopping power then 9mm i don't plan on shooting it much so ammo cost wont be a concern thanks for your response.
Not really, my special groups are in another video at 50. 85, and 100 yards. you should check out that video if you want to see special groups with my Super Wrangler. It was 12-15 yards, not 7 yards. th-cam.com/video/TpYttakIIsE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_0SpEH4Oe-jdeuLG
@HotLeadretired did you have any better accuracy results with the 22 magnum cylinder? I'm really looking at these revolvers but I haven't decided on the super wrangler or the single 6 convertible. Accuracy seems erratic on both judging by the TH-cam reviews I've watched.
Ruger has hit the Diamondback Sidekick with a left hook with the Super Wrangler. 9 round capacity and swing out cylinder is ALL the diamondback has over the super Wrangler. I didn't mention the D/A trigger pull because it is HORRIBLE on the Diamondback.
Yeah, but it took forever for Ruger to offer that magnum cylinder...we own the big competitor, bought primarily because of the two cylinders...I'll grant the Ruger is more sturdy, with a great warranty, but the competition still going along just fine...these guns are just wonderful for sitting around, casually picking off whatever is in sight, easy on the wallet, easy on the nerves...
Good information. Thanks for the video.

Rimfire handguns and rifles are like that. You got to feed them what they like, not what's on sale.
True. I only buy one brand now and I bought a lot of it. Thanks for watching.

Nice video and good score on your grips!
Yeah, I couldn’t believe it. First time ever having a gun that likes the cheapest ammo.
Good Job Sir
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Auto match is the best of the bulk pack stuff in my Ruger old model single six and my colt woodsman

I’m always open to trying different brands of ammo. I’ll try them out.
I have watched a ton of videos on the federal auto match. This is the only one that is favorable for the auto match. Nice video!

Nice test. The first groups could have been larger due to the target board swinging in the wind as well. When you shot the AutoMatch, it was calmer.

Can single six grips work on super wranglers?
Yes, that’s what I have. I also think that it helped improve my shooting they are slightly wider than the one that come on it.
@HotLeadretired thank you, I really prefer the grips that are wooden with a nice finish.
Me too. Thanks for watching.
Awesome
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Do you have any 40 Cal gun's you carry
No. Only 9mm. I have two sigs and a Ruger.
@@HotLeadretired Have you ever shot 40 cal" is there a big difference in recoil to 9mm?

They shoot good and have more power than a 9mm.

At 7 yards, none of these groups were anything special.

@jerryreynolds8151 not really mainly because I sighted it in with .22lr. I would go with the Single Six.
@@HotLeadretired thanks for the input, I believe the single 6 is the best option as well.
