I honestly don't get how he made 9th place while Kazunoko's Raven made it into top 8. I thought Zadi was supposed to be the best Raven player in the world? Is it just global tournament nerves that made him not perform as well as he should have?
brightsuperstition My guess: close to that. It was Zadis first EVO, and even tho he was accomplished at several tournaments in Japan, EVO is another ballgame. Kazunoko is an old hand at it; I reckon despite Zadi playing generally the better Raven, Kazunoko was able to keep his tournament nerves under control better(he won the mirror when they were both in losers.)
I hope he does better next year. After his dominating performance at the pre-Evo tournament in Japan, I thought that he'd at least make it into top 3-4 alongside Omito, Samitto and Machabo.
Such a beast. One of the best Ravens in the world even if he fell just short of top 8 IMO.
