    It’s not for everyone, but in your area I can definitely see the benefit of choosing house washing and pressure washing, I would do the same thing. Here in Colorado there is one company that runs all the major pressure washing, and soft washing isn’t even a thing because of our dry climate. Cheers

    I love my residential window cleaning business. I like the work, and I am paid well. It provides me a flexible schedule which I need. I do mostly exterior windows on a subscription basis. Very few appointments. I have not had to market my service for well over 5 years. I don't even have a web site. I don't worry about reviews. It is an easy business to run.

    Scott, , Yes sir. Windows are a pain. I have been doing them for over 30 years. I started cleaning roofs and siding over the last 3 years. I have increased my business by 3 times. I wouldnt give up windows just yet though. They are a great introduction to your pressure washing and soft washing business. My very first soft wash job I cleaned the roof, gutters, and diveway all from just a window washing bid. A 280 dollar window cleaning estimate turned into a 2000 + dollar job. Stay away from store fronts. They are good for newbies but for established businesses they are a time consumer and a money hog.

    I only have a couple of just exterior windows, within a few minutes of where I live. But I do try and upsell exteriors with a house wash. I can't be choosing yet, hopefully soon I can. Thanks for your content, I enjoy the straight shooting and honesty.

    It seems like when you get bigger it adds to the stress but not to your bottom line. So much. A one-man operation can be happy making two to $400 a day. But then if you expand you got to make all the extra money.

    From my experience it’s trash in the big city too (at least where I am), people don’t value the service and don’t want the service here. Storefronts are hard to get because most do their own maintenance or have a cleaning company that does everything including the windows. So it’s very hard to get one and the ones you want to low ball you and want you to come every two weeks to a month. So everything you’re saying I totally agree & this has inspired me to reinvent my business.

  • @DjBlaze604
    @DjBlaze604 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    To put in in perspective... just quoted a half roof cleaning, inside gutter cleaning for $1200... how many windows you gotta clean to make that in a day. I also have noticed people tend to respect pressure washing as a high ticket item (80 to 100+ per hour) but seem to look at window cleaning as low tier job. Not knocking window cleaners or anything.

    I do 5-1000 daily on windows. We have two girls that work us in the field. One dusts exterior, one pulls screens.
    I set up wfp, then one cleans inside, one girl will wash the screens and By the time I wfp it and we all finish around the same time. $300 home, 1 1/2 -2hours per, 2-3 daily. I do house wash/pressure as well. With drive time/lunch 6-9hr days on avg. Just windows some days, that's why we do it. Customers like both, we continue to sell both at a profitable rate.

I get about $300 a job for windows and a minimum of $125 for a gutter cleaning. On the higher end I have gotten $760 and $660 for windows as well. Only been in business since April 1 2021 but things are going well. I don't bother with store fronts but Angi's list gets me a lot of residential work. Finding help is hard but most jobs are done exclusively by me.

    Actually I live in Southwest FL . Not from here don't mean to sound snobby but there are like over 200 golf course neighborhoods with thousands of million n dollar homes. They are usually super clean. Just drive Ways or Lanai's and pool cages need pressure washing. Average window cleaning ticket is $500 $800 when including pressure washing. For that reason I just added window cleaning. Now some big players with 8 gpm doing major surface cleaning still killing it. But The reference es I get for pressure washing back Lanai's then squeegee windows after is unreal... It can be tedious but popes are the way to go window cleaning no ladders.
    As long as I'm making a minimum of $100 hr I'm a happy camper.
    The way you did it is the way to go. You have to. Start some where then if something else the market drives you in another direction making more money you naturally adapt.. for me it has worked the other way offering both services

I got a water fed pole to blow through my window cleaning clients so I can go do more pressure washing. I upsell the window cleaning, when you blow through a house of windows for $100-$150 bucks in 15 to 20 minutes while someone is packing up your pressure washing gear it seems like a no brainer to me. It sounds to me like your ready to grow. Hire someone else to wash windows while you pressure wash. Two income streams plus another job for someone else. Keep growing you can make money while your on a month long vacation. You built it. Why just let it go?

      @@tedmag44 mostly because of communication and liability, things get misunderstood alot and problems occur that weren’t expected. Which occurs at any job really, but in window washing details and pricing needs to be adequate, most the time window companies have people that dont do the work pricing the jobs, thats a problem, and stress on the employees, which makes a turnover rate
