- The last Race of the ultra competitive Swiss Hillclimb Championship was held at Gurnigel and featured a great number of the Fastest Monsters in Switzerland alongside some exquisite Special Entries likes the original BMW M1 ProCar of Michael Kammermann. With usual suspects like Meisel´s Judd V8 SLK, Schnellmann´s Evo VIII, Ianniello´s Delta S4 and more, this is how the Fastest 15 Monsters of the day ended up:

Definitely Roger, 4G63 FTW!!! But that M1 Procar is a beautiful machine as well.
Always gotta support Lancia, and an S4 to boot. I feel like there was more that could be pulled out of that car but at the same time it's such a rare beast that I don't know if anyone really could.

i love the simple fashion of hillclimb cars, just some simple sponsor stickers, no over the top crazy livery's with 20 different sponsors slapped on each panel like other motorsports

@Thor Odin son Oh no doubt. And getting that kinda power out of a N/A I6 is nothing to scoff at.
Agree, for me it is still the most eye catching BMW of all time, having said that in production mode they had some electrical and mechanical issues.
@@pieterhoekstra9887 Are you talking about the E31? Because I have also heard that, especially the M70 & M73 12 cylinder equipped ones.
@@jdmmike7225 The origional M1. Don't remember the mechanical stats, I think it was a 3,0lt mid mounted engine. The Proscar is a totally modified version of the 1979 standard.
@@jdmmike7225 The original 1979 model is what I have in mind, however the Procar version was highly modified dry sumping and all with production defects ironed out. Magnificent looking cars for their time. I think they started out with
3,0lt engines and ended with V12's.

That MK2 Golf is insane, I can't imagine the skills to keep that pocket rocket on the road
The real gem about this car is the legendary ABF motor base, you can crank 1000+ HP out of it just by using different conrods and camshaft and a good turbo.
Original block and crankshaft can take 600-700 HP permanent power without sweating and will never break at that power. Remind you this motor came with only 150 HP stock.

Yea, it's pretty much a Le Mans prototype inspired carbon & tube chassis with a custom carbon body made to look like an SLK. Don't get me wrong, it's a super badass car, but it's on a whole nother level compared to just about everything else out there. They should have a factory chassis & a tube chassis class. It's actually amazing Roger even came close with his heavily modified EVO.

@@joe125ful Well also ability. The fabrication skills are amazing and the driving is awesome. While money helps no doubt, it's no guarantee of success.
@@jdmmike7225 Also it proves there is no limits in HillClimb racing.
@@joe125ful Which is why I put it right up there with unlimited class time attack racing because you really can just build what you want and compete. I have a EXOCET tube frame kit car which is based on MX-5 drivetrain components but ours has a custom cantilever suspension we developed and is powered by a 670hp Pettit Racing 13B rotary engine. Only in unlimited time attack events can we compete with others because they don't care what you bring, they just wanna see who's fastest & how fast they are. And I think the hill climbers have a similar mindset in that yes it'd be nice to win but let's just see how fast we can go.
I think it's a bit funny how the hot hatches with less downforce and smaller wheels seem more lively and therefore faster. The times say otherwise but they look like they're trying that much harder.

One day you'll be able to install mini 1kg electric motors directly in each wheel with 800 total HP and torque vectoring all around, lapping much quicker, with less effort and STILL it will NEVER beat the intake sound of that Scirocco MK1. Ever. Long live the sound.
