    I followed the steps in the video and they were perfect. Took about 15 minutes to compete the throttle body replacement. Thank you very much!

    Really appreciate you putting this video out. Had no idea what I was getting into, but you've put together a great instructional video.

    Great video! Walked me right through it. Only thing I couldn’t see was disconnecting the wiring harness after lifting the red clip…just have to press down on left side while pulling

    This is one of the best videos I have watched very clear and concise. The absolute best thing about this video is that she did not feel the need to embellish herself and everything else before carrying out the repair. For that a big thank you. I get so irritated by wasting my time making yourself feel important.

      @@sukisshop3390 Again, awesome vid! It def was the throttle body. Once piece of advice though that I learned the hard way: spend that extra 100-200 on the Ford OEM part. Swapped an aftermarket part in and I was still having issues. Bought the OEM and boom, my baby is back!

    Hey thank you very much for this video. Having to do this today after my F-150 coded about an hour ago. Great directions and making it simple for people like me that don't know cars. One small suggestion maybe would be to put things like part numbers or tool list in your description as well so you don't have to go through the video and pause or rewind to the spot to write it down. Can copy and paste the part in a search engines to look for nearest parts etc. But that is a minor thing. really loved the video so helpful! Thanks again.

    Very informative. …
    …. AND
    You are also the first mechanic I have ever seen wearing all that jewelry and still have all 9 fingers and both thumbs. You might want to consider doing a video on how you accomplished this feat.
    I’m pretty sure it would be a one of a kind video.

    Great video. Something to add is resetting the PCM to relearn idle and shift points. Should be done anytime the battery is disconnected or dies.

    how did you know this needed to be replaced? I get random surging under acceleration at low speeds - almost like a misfire but i changed all the plugs and coils and its still doing it

    • @sukisshop3390
      @sukisshop3390  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine had completely lost all acceleration so I had to coast to the shoulder, kill and restart her. Did a little research and hoped that was it 😂

    Hello great video.. I do have a question my 2013 f150 has p2107 but also my battery is being drained even when truck is off toy think both problems are related? Thanks

    • @sukisshop3390
      @sukisshop3390  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joseayalaayala2730 it very well could be, if the wiring is bad going to the throttle body actuator, possibly shorting out and causing drain on your battery. It’s always good to check your fuses in both fuse boxes too.

    • @sukisshop3390

    What were the symptoms you were getting when you went to replace it. Cause I have rough idle, sluggish acceleration, and it jolts.

  • @JohnJohn-nh5mj
    @JohnJohn-nh5mj 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Question , my 2011 f150 3.5 when I started it accelerated a lot , you think is the trotle body too?

    • @sukisshop3390
      @sukisshop3390  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JohnJohn-nh5mj I honestly don’t think it would be the throttle body, is it doing it while driving too? I know this model is known for a high idle on startup, could be a sensor, like coolant temp or one of the many little sensors it has. Mine does it sometimes only on startup but once it reaches operating temp then the RPMs smooth out.

  • @nathansearles6151
    @nathansearles6151 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you have to recalibrate it once you installed the new one? I've read that you only need to recalibrate if you clean your existing one and put it back on, but I can't find a definitive answer.

  • @sukisshop3390
    @sukisshop3390  ปีที่แล้ว

    I would check the power going to the throttle body pigtail. If you’re getting voltage there, it shouldn’t be the throttle body causing it to go into limp mode. Possibility another sensor? I’m sorry that’s probably not much help.

    Mine had just had plugs changed and valve cover gaskets. It threw a code for throttle body actuator "closed" and a purge solenoid issue. Just curious if this could be due to an electrical issue, or I'd the actuator could be changed instead of the entire throttle body.

    • @sukisshop3390
      @sukisshop3390  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be, wouldn’t hurt to check your connections. My truck had given a code for the throttle body actuator and was dying out upon acceleration. I had wondered about just changing the actuator too but the cost wasn’t much different from buying the whole throttle body with the actuator already attached. I did take apart my old one, it was just torx screws.

    So what issue was your truck doing that made you decide to change the throttle body? I have a 2011 F-150 3.5 v6 eco and I keep misfiring on cylinders 1 & 4. I changed all coils, Spark plugs, both up and down stream O2 sensors and still have no luck. Next step for me is to probably change to a new Cat

      @fordguy1115 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @jeremyhill5723
      @jeremyhill5723 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FordGuy03 try cleaning your O2 sensors. That might work. That was my issue the first time 5 years ago

    • @sukisshop3390
      @sukisshop3390  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeremy hill, sorry so late in reply, my issue was when I would accelerate it would randomly lose power and then it got to where it would lose power and die when accelerating. I’d pull over, restart the truck and it’d run fine again for a few miles.
