I had that reaction to the name "Chick-fil-A", and I refused to even try their food for many years because of that spelling. =) "What is THAT? Chick-Fee-Laah?" Your show has been really entertaining, and I enjoyed this episode very much. My husband and I watched "Legend of the Seeker", and we definitely criticized some details in each episode, but something about it kept us interested in returning to it each week. I can see how someone would give up on it--it's difficult to get into some shows or movies after enjoying the book. Always looking forward to this podcast, each week!
Paul Wight's appearance has certainly changed since he did that Chef Boyardee commercial years ago! He rocks his beard, but I am on Team Melissa when it comes to preferring my own husband without. As Amanda stated that she is pro-beard, it makes me wonder whether or not her husband has one. On a less superficial note, the old saying "You can't judge a book by its cover" certainly applies to The Big Show. I never would have guessed that this man who oozes masculinity would be such a feminist at heart (his mom was a cop!), or such a softy, refusing to give up the seven kittens born in his laundry room during Covid. His Dungeon and Dragons group sounds epic, and his ability to get engrossed in a book a testament to his intelligence. I especially enjoyed his critical analysis of "A Handmaid's Tale" when he and Melissa delved into that topic.
A side bar: In a previous episode Amanda mentioned a reality show called "Get organized with the Home Edit." I just finished binging the second season, and noticed that the business headquarters is in Nashville. This makes me beg the question, "Do our podcast hosts know Clea Shearer and Joana Teplin? Are they going to be on the show during Season 2?!"
Thank you so much Amanda for taking the time to answer my question; it's thrilling to know that you read your fans' comments! Just like the ladies' from the Home Edit, the friendship you and Melissa have is the heart of your show and is one of the reasons your fans look forward to new episodes every week.

no one is that busy to not watch one episode of one show in one day...damn how do you accomplish anything lol
Oh Chick-Fil-A... my sister in law first said it like Chick-a-filia, like a disease lol
Armored Polar Bears... The Golden Compass?
"Man is head, woman is neck..." wasn't that a quote from My Big Fat Greek Wedding?
Did he just pull out a man satchel to grab his phone? Not that I'd ever ask him that!!! :)
It's just something so beautiful about white girls
