there's always a purpose in watching, reading, or listening to something twice. your perspective changes, and so does your understanding of the world. kind of like how we missed the adult humor in shows meant for kids.
I love listening to you two chat. My sister was class of 1999 and I’m eight years younger then her so I grow up with her 90s teenage years. You two remind me so much of her and miss that area!!!!
I'm so glad I watch the TH-cam version of this podcast so that I could see the 90s make-up and fashion that Amanda and Melissa got all decked out in as a tribute to that decade. Amanda also got a major haircut to show off her bouncy curls, which wasn't even mentioned (no croissant bangs, though). On a similar note, when is Melissa posting photos of her lioness bangs and foam-curler hairstyle (my sisters and I used to use those types of curlers too!)? This is the second time that Melissa has mentioned getting her Canadian-born neighbour Jason Priestly on the show, so I hope that it happens this season because I'm already filled with excited anticipation. Another actress whose name has popped up more than once is Lacey Chabert (Melissa beat her at Wheel-of-Fortune when she won that million dollars), so I'm hoping that she'll make an appearance too as I'm a huge fan, especially of her Hallmark movies. Finally, this episode is worth the watch even just to learn what a Chacha Luis is.
I just discovered this channel. Awesome stuff. And I want to thank you for all your work. I can't begin to explain how much Melissa & Joey pulled me through a tough time. Lots of love from Holland
I just had my first pap smear last month. I was terrified of going before but it was good to know I was fine after hearing test results and I got to wear a gown, so glad I didn't have a panic attack I guess what changed my mindset was that all women have to get that done & doctor's see women give birth and I'm sure thats more messier but altogether, it's all natural & it's good to go for your checkups regularly 💗 & I didn't know you had a TH-cam channel, this is great! I miss the 90s, though I was 5 back in 99' happy to see the styles & a lot of things make a comeback! I wore the cute twisted butterfly clips when I was 7 in the early thousands. I'm definitely subscribed and love the choker ☺️
I'm obsessed with this series - thank you for creating this for us! Obviously I'm a huge fan of yours (11/10 devastated I couldn't come over from AUS to 90s Con!) but beyond that, being a similar age to you, I love the conversations you have on your show (I live with a few chronic illnesses and topics like enemas & colons are a common topic in our household and I can absolutely relate to the reality of having to juggle SO many medical appointments!) There came a point, perhaps earlier for me than most, where I was like, you know what.... no, I'm not going to wear clothes or shoes (or even underwear!) that aren't comfortable for me. Comfort all the way! I'm doing my best to normalize talking about these topics (especially things like periods, endometriosis, constipation, etc) through my own content, but having someone with a much more prominent voice also talking about these topics is SO extremely important and meaningful. Thank you again xx
Another outstanding episode! Melissa and Amanda really have good chemistry with each other, and their podcast just gets better and better with each episode!
I totally relate to Amanda's struggle with the shoes. I'm 5'10 and wear a size 12 wide in women's. I only found them at Payless ShoeSource but they closed the chain. Now it's so hard to find them 🤦♀️
Bob West, the OG voice of Barney the Dinosaur has started to do public appearances at cons. He shoulda been at 90s con. That show was on the entirety of that decade! If ya get him for the podcast you gotta talk to him about his work in graphic design. Speechless, Community, 90210, The Muppets, The Rookie.
Fun fact: here in Germany, yes, we have a Great (!) health care system. But I ihr dental stuff - a lot of the big stuff u still have to pay by yourself
Did you guys ever mention Amanda's age? On some episodes I feel like I relate more agewise to amanda, but this one has me feeling I'm closer to Melissa in age (even though she's older). So now I'm very curious..
Oh and Melissa, I can completely relate to the problem with giving up complaining for lent. I tried last year. I would say something about how I had a headache and one of my kids would be like "mom that's complaining" and I'm like uh, no...I'm just making a statement about how I feel! Totally get it. Lol
MANNNNN, I understand styles coming back, but what the younger people don't understand is that WE ALL OLD FOLKS moved AWAY from these styles because THEY WERE NOT FLATTERING! SURE, if you are a size tiny and throw on the lowest of low hip huggers, you might be able to pull them off, but women as a society, as a whole, look better in what we evolved into. Now all of a sudden, they want to bring back our worst nightmares with, not only hip huggers, BUT sloppy wide jeans that, quite frankly, look good on no one. Listen to your elders. And I say that about side parts, too. Not all humans look good with middle parts. Side parts are always more flattering. As someone said near me once, "we don't all have symmetrical faces, that's why we have side parts..." But alas, the whale tale is back too..........
I love Nicole Sullivan, she's already done Christys channel, but invite her to yours please! Other ppl I'd like to see: Fran Drescher, Charles Shaughnessy, (Caroline starred in momsgotadatewavampire W him) Nicholle tom, *ARE. were you a soap opera person? if u have fav ppl from soaps ask them!! I loved all my children, one life and still gh, Brandy norwood, kelly clarkson and her small part on Sabrina ;) Calista flockhart, "anyone from melrose place, 90210" Claire Danes, Kristen Kruek (smallville) anyone from Lucifer, Tom welling would be great

You were the reason I even went to 90s con all the way from Miami!! But your line was SOOO long I didn’t get that chance :/

You two are taking me back. I love it. Love the podcast.
It was so amazing seeing you at 90s Con and the small “reunion episode” that you and the cast of sabrina improved was so cute and funny!
Just discovered this channel. I miss the 90s so much. I truly believe it was the climax of content quality.
Another outstanding episode! Melissa and Amanda really have good chemistry with each other, and their podcast just gets better and better with each episode!

The Are You Afraid of the Dark episode that Melissa was in traumatized me as a child!
Y'all need to get Mara Wilson on the podcast. Marc Summers too.
catcher in the rye is an amazing book.
