raaah! Two of my special interests collide! Lovely stuff. Also appreciating the Parodious mention, such a fun game. I had no idea this one was a Fromsoft game, I totally skipped it at the time. Give how much I love their modern ouevre, I really should dig into their back catalogue myself.
One of my all time favorite gamecube series. I played the second game a lot more because it had post game foes and levels. Would love to see Fromsoft try their hands at this more fairytale style again in the future.
I was always intrested in this game as kid just from the cover when i was thumbing through a holiday EB magazine but never got around to trying it i had no clue it was a card RPG
Oh yea I have little idea how the notification system works (or doesn’t) if it helps I set my videos to go live every 2 weeks on Fridays at 5pm. Next one is this coming Friday Aug 9!
Before Elden ring was officially announced and people found out its codename had "Great Rune" or something akin to that, I was hoping so hard that it would be Rune 3, or Lost kingdoms III for us. Didn't get that but we did get spirit ashes in game so that's cool
I always heard about this one, but I wasn't fully interested in it because I was waiting for like...more traditional JRPGs to hit the GameCube. This is like the first time we got a taste of any RPG really it seems like. While the system didn't get a lot of RPGs, it did get a few really classics of its own! I cannot wait for you to get to things like Skies of Arcadia, Baten Kaitos and of course my favorite GameCube game, Tales of Symphonia! (I feel the synergy of the original system from the way you're doing this project, it's like back in the 2000s when I was desperately waiting for those said RPGs to hit the cube, while looking at things like this, to see if I really wanted to give the first taste or not a go)
i rented Lost Kingdom when i saw the advertisement in nintendo power because the artwork looked great and i was not disappointed because around that time i was obsessed with Yu-gi-oh so having another game involving cards was awesome for me. i still really enjoy this game but i really need to play the 2nd one as its been on my list for years. but yeah i can understand that it wont be for everyone since it can be a bit tough to grasp for how different it plays for an action RPG i do think it is interesting that the gamecube did not get a ton of RPGs but a lot of them involve cards in some way. also that dreamcast game framegride is a really fun game.
I think this was one I bought and then returned fairly quickly. As a kid I just didn't "get" how it was supposed to work. Its been on my "need to get again" list for quite some time though - I think I might have a better time with it now!
LK&LKII are some of my favourite games of all time, I wish the series lived on.
Wake up everyone, new GameCube video drop.

I myself am actually a total outsider to FromSoftware so I hope I do them justice. I really liked this one even if I’m not good at it.

Be prepared, this is just the start of a parade of Card RPGs on the GameCube
@@ChronCube Well i look forward to your coverage of them then good sir
i love this game
What is wrong with the algorithm for this channel?
One of the few I have notifications for, and my backlog is huge.

I also cannot wait to get to Skies of Arcadia. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and a childhood favorite from the Dreamcast

Would you believe I had Frame Gride in my library since a trip to Japan in 2017 and this is the first time I’ve actually played it? 😅
@@ChronCube sometimes the backlog can do that lol

I would 100% not have been able to wrap my head around this as a kid.
If only you could still get these games in a normal non extremely expensive way
Kinda sounds like Phantom Dust.
From what I’ve heard of Phantom Dust that’s pretty spot on!
