  • My collection of photos of Huntsville's Parkway City Mall before demolition. There were made around 2000-2001. Parkway Place Shopping Mall now occupies this spot.

Dude you are a literal a rockstar for this video. I grew up in Huntsville and me and my father used to go here all the time. He loved sbarros pizza. So much nostalgia!!!

Thanks for this video. I wish I could find original pics with Pizitz and all of the original stores and the theater.

Nostalgia is funny....because I remember before this mall's demolition how sad and dead it was and how excited everyone was for the redevelopment. But looking at the photos does make you feel those pangs. But it's not for the period where this mall was dead but further back than that. The arcade, the movie theater, the video game store, Sbarro's, Circus World, even the Picadilly, these are things from my very early childhood that I do feel nostalgia for. The most distinctive thing to me were the benches with the four televisions mounted above so people could sit, relax, and watch TV while others in their party shopped. In its prime, this mall was better than The Mall imho, though both were killed by Madison Square...which is several years gone now. Funny how the world works.

90s nostalgia in full swing after seeing this. Remembering the parents dragged me to the OG Piccadilly Cafeteria when I was little. There was some funky wood carved wall art in the main hallway.

Tomorrow is my birthday- and I nearly jumped for joy when I saw this video in my subscription feed. Could not have asked for a better birthday gift as I reminisce on my birth city and all the great memories. Thanks so much!!

ayooo??? I’ve been looking for images of this mall for a LONG time now, glad to see someone had more info on the place!! I wondered for a long time what the inside looked like (it was torn down and rebuilt to Parkway Place long before I had even moved to Huntsville as a child) but I had done reading on old malls a lot later down the line and the only things I couldn’t find on this specific mall were interior photos.

Food Row used to slap back in the day, may have still had the Orange Julius in there too.🔥🔥🔥

Born and raised in this mall. Went to Piccadilly with my grandparents every Sunday for lunch. Worked at Camelot Music (long before these photos) when I met Angela, Marcell and Danielle. Worked at Sbarro when I met Tina and Julie. Worked at Parisian when I met Laura, Kimberly, Ashley, Donna and Anna. These photos bring back TONS of memories...some happy some sad. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the journey. Thanks for posting.
