    Look at you go on your home built two wheeled taxi. Looks like a lot of fun.
    It's good to see your work bare fruit.
    It certainly captures the spirit.

    Well you did it now its rideable . Couple more miles and a few tweeks and it should be a great bike . Maybe a pair of front footrests to give you somewhere to poke your feet or even a modification to add forward controls who knows only you can decide . Lovely scenic run in some beautiful countryside. Well done Brother enjoy the riding and on to the next project 😊

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I immediately felt the need for forward controls or highway pegs, but I don't really like the look of them, so maybe I will just suffer until I come up with a design I like enough to put it on the bike. 😅
      Thank you for watching, commenting and for following along on this journey! ✌️🤘

      @@HeavyMetalParkingSpot other option .... stretch the frame.. now that would make for a great video . I agree on feet forwards not my style to be honest had a stretched out virago low rider .. forward controls hated the duck paddle to move anywhere at real slow speed or trying to moving whilst sat on it ..

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I stretched Virago sounds pretty awesome though! 🤘
      But I agree on the forward controls, it sure has pros and cons.
      And about stretching my own frame, I think that would be a project for a very distant future. 😅

    I have a 2000 savage 650
    Jardine branded pipe
    Stage 6 jet kit. Removed air filter and used prefilter material
    I ported the head
    Mine will blow the tire off in 1st and 2nd gear
    Totally stock looking bike
    OeM mini ape hangers stock seat everything

    Sounds a little rough. Have you checked the timing chain for slack?

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have any experience working with these engines? I don't, but I've heard that they make a lot of noise, but I'm not sure what's normal and not.
      I know the previous owner did some work to the automatic cam chain tensioner that these bikes has, but I have no idea how good of a job he did. 😅

    • @Narkosikario
      @Narkosikario ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      In Savage expert circles, the timing chain tensioner is considered to be the most sensitive weak point of this engine, which can lead to engine damage after around 15,000 kilometers due to the high stress on the timing chain caused by the powerful long stroke, especially in the low-speed range. If that's where the noises come from, the so-called "problem solver" TBKS promises healing for eternity... There are forums and videos for this and also for simpler "heavy metal" alternatives if you need them..... 😉🤘🏻
      My trusted mechanic didn't want to know anything about it and simply changed the timing chain and timing chain tensioner. That seemed logical to me and, above all, cheaper, although it would have to be repeated after another 15,000 kilometers...
      But maybe you have another creative and cinematic solution and end up in Savage heaven...😇
      Good luck my friend!☮️

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1999worldfamous The sissy bar is mounted using the same holes as the stock sissy, they are bit reinforced so I thought it would be a good idea to use those. The seat is then mounted to the sissy bar, and to a new bracket I welded across the frame just behind the air filter.
