Part of the problem with other African countries not just Ghana is the inability to bring out new artists. We are still talking about Sarkodie and Shatta Wale. Asake started just 8 months ago . This can only be hard work and grace . He was a road manager for a comedian who turned musician ( brodda shagi ) . If Ghanaian really want growth , they should have pushed black sherif .
Yeah they need to push their artist but the artist need to push themselves as well. Compare Asake to blacko in term of hit song in the last two year then you will understand why you can’t sell big stage like this with just one global hit song. You need hit after hit and that is what most Ghanaian artists lack.
Nigerians don't play with money.. When Nigerians discovered that there's money in music, they take that shit to the next level with Afrobeat.. The late Baba Fela created Afrobeat for all Africans, not just for Nigeria alone.. Awilo also contributed a lot to the development of Africa music.. To my Ghanian brothers the platform is already there for you, don't blame Nigerian Artist.. You can see the ways Nigerian Artist are using Amapiano sound for there music, and nobody is complaint about it
Here in southern Africa we don't know the difference between Nigeria and Ghana when it comes to entertainment and culture,it is only we play their music and watch their movies under one roof.
You’re right, I am Nigerian living in SA and what you say is true. The rest of Africa thinks we are one but I do not understand where the rivalry is coming from. I love Ghanaians, I don’t know where the hate is coming from?

i respect you cos you tell the truth. i am a huge music fan and mad Sarkodie and king promise fan, Ghana music just need to focus on their craft. currently they are millions of Nigerians that are talented looking for a bit of light in the music industry to blow, so the competition is mad. we don't actually look to care or compete with other countries. Fix yourself the world will recognize you.
Ghanainans should learn from Kwadwo moves. Kwadwo hustles like a Nigerian, he does not care about what you say about him. See his channel, from its humble beginnings, he is doing marvelously well today and i believe his bank account is great too. That is because he focused his energy toward improving his channel. He did not compare himself to other youtubers doing better at the time he started, rather he kept on presenting contents that address issues in an objective and unbiased manner and hoila he is where he is right now.
The question is, what number does your population have to get to for your music industry to become better by this their theory? They can't say. They will tell you that it is only when their population is more than that of Nigeria, as if if to feed and give free education to secondary school level is beans. And on top of that almost free tertiary education and close to free universal healthcare. If their population is more than what it is, they will know that they have asked for what they can't handle
It’s sad stonebwoy came to Boston for his tour and you could count the number of people who were there and there’s are a lot of Ghanaians in Massachusetts but for them to support their own is very sad. When any Nigerian artist come over they get their tickets sold out and most of them are Ghanaians. I don’t have any problem with them supporting the Nigerian music But use the same support to support our Ghanaian artists too.
You can’t force people to support you if you don’t drop quality music. Your music has to be catchy for you to convince people to support you. There was a time we Nigerians only listened to Ghana music cos our music was no up to standard, we just worked harder and tap from other countries sound.
You answered very well with this video. The reasons most Nigerians don't bother about some of these differences we create are many including some these; Nigeria is the most tribally diverse collection in the world. secondly, we have obvious bits of every other tribe in Africa and most of the world-that is why we lift everything most people do without complain. If a Ghanaian picks something igbotic in his song, he will sale off the following week. If I pick something from Douala add it to Efik, I became a celebrity.

Good music can’t be hidden. If we Ghanaians make correct music, it will go global. Jamaica has 2mil people and their music went global for 40yrs. It’s not about size or population. Do good music and everyone will play it. My observation is that Ghanaian artists rather rap as opposed to our good highlife music. Rap music is dying off. Am thinking that when you succeed in cornering or establishing a brand, everything kinda works for you. Jamaica introduced Reggae and it caught fire, even non Jamaicans started doing Reggae, they also introduced Dancehall and it also caught on with audiences globally. In same vein, Nigeria and Nigerians have pushed Afrobeats and it is somewhat becoming an acceptable brand globally. It is only naturally that we reap the gains. You can also reap some gains if you play along. Lucky Dube wasn't Jamaican but he was a world acclaimed Reggae artist. He never competed with the Jamaicans. He did his own thing his own way!.
Still u people will say Ghanaians should create their genre so wat is happening if Ghanaians don't crate genre it means they can't do music better than the originator right
Growing up in London, people in the U.K. have American rap and U.K. rap to listen to. When we want to listen to music from back home (Ghana, Nigeria etc) we are not trying to hear any rap, we want vibes melodies etc. The big dogs in Nigeria provide these vibes and melodies. When it comes to Ghana the only people that I feel I bring the vibes are King Promise and Stonebwoy, Blacko does a mixture with the rap and melodies. More vibes and melodies and feel good music and 100% Ghana music will be top tier. Yes there’s Kidi and others but more work is needed
Thé gag is there are so many talented UK Ghanaian artists. Kojey Radical and Juls are talented and have worked with so many Nigerian Artists. I wouldn’t even have known who Eugy was if not for Mr. Eazi. Nigerians showed Sarkodie so much love and he featured on a lot of Nigerian’s songs and he was everywhere.
Unfortunately as they blame the Nigerian, the musician are busy performing and not complaining about your complains. Until they realise we need each other to grow.
GHANAIANS STOP BLAMING NIGERIANS FOR YOUR SET BACK . THE FUNNY THING IS THAT NIGERIANS ARE NOT COMPLETING WITH GHANA OR OTHER COUNTRIES, WE COMPLETE OURSELF AND THAT IS WHY WE GET BETTER AND BETTER EACH DAY. KNOW THIS AND KNOW PEACE. I COME IN PEACE.
I feel Ghana would have been close to such pedestal if Bola Ray had adequate support. Ghana meets Naija was a stepping stone but unfortunately we lost it.

There are thousands of Nigerian artists but only 4 have sold out the O2, add Rema and by year end it will be 5. Why do Ghanaians make it seem like 1,000 nigerian artists have sold out the O2? Those 5 artists Burna, Wizkid, Davido, Asake and Rema are among the top 10 biggest artists in Africa. These guys are global. What Ghanaians do not know is that there' are thousands of Nigerian artists that are hustling day and night to breakthrough and they do it quitely with no complaints until they get the breakthrough they want. By the way, Olamide is the mentor of Asake and Fireboy and he still makes music putting youngsters on his album. Why is nobody talking about that? Who has sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale put on that has become bigger than them? The other day wizkid put King promise on his stadium show but one fuul somewhere who has done absolutely nothing for his own people was complaining that wizkid should have turned the biggest show of his career to a talent show for his Ghanaian friends who they smoke together. He even said appearing on wizkids's show was a national duty for Ghanaian artists. What a twisted way of thinking. Afronation organizers have been putting Ghanaians on their platform regardless of the fact that the audience don't really rock with them like that. They have been doing it and no Ghanaian has seen the need to even recognize or appreciate their efforts. But the minute they drop one of these arists they start lamenting and making accusations as though it is their entitlement. What they refused to understand is that for every Ghanaian artist put on a Nigerian concert platform, there are hundreds of better Nigerian artists that are deprived of that opportunity. To be clear, of the top 100 artists in west Africa, I doubt if 5 Ghanaians will make the list if we are to go by impact. The sense of entertainment is too much. Seat down, work hard, build your own platforms, support younger talent instead of stifling them and see your industry grow. With all the frustration, they will soon start accusing Nigerian artists of using juju to sell their music
Around 2008 or so Ghana music was the thing the likes of VIP, Castro bollie Mzvel and many others we danced to their sound and embraced them like our own the new generation Ghana artise aee supposed to build on yhise legacies

What is the business of Ghana music with Nigeria music? Nigeria speaks Yoruba, igbo, Tiv and 520 other languages. Ghana speaks Twi and other languages. Nigeria doesn’t understand Twi and Ghana doesn’t understand Yoruba too. But Nigerians infuse Yoruba to their music and it sound so good. Nigeria sing good music. dude you forgot sarkodie apart from that i agree
Ghana music industry doesn't even have woes. Nigerians have done a lot to help them. Look at king promise, Gyakie, Camidoh and Kelvin boy and others. The issue is that they are looking at the success of A-list Nigerian artists and lamenting about non existent woes let me list the Nigerian artists that are yet to sell out the O2 and tell me how many Ghanaian artists that can compare to them.
1. Tiwa Savage
2. Reekado Banks
3. Omah Lay
4. Tems
5. Fireboy
6. Joeboy
7. Me Eazi
8. P-square
9. Dbanj
10. Ruger
11. Korede Bello
12. Ayrar Star
13. Ckay
14. Kcee
15. MI
16. Falz
17 Olamide
18. Phyno
19. Flavour
20. Tekno.
If these artists are yet to sell out the O2, no Ghanaian artist gas the right to complain.
@@hillcrestprofessionalservi3502 great comment but Blacko can easily break theough if he keeps on doing good music. I be Naija too
@@TamImBlessedam a Ghanaian too but the comparizim is too much blacko, camido, King promise.gyakie Olive the boy this people if they humble theirself n Lean from Nigeria they will blow i swear
Spot on ,,,, am Ghanaian too but i agree with you 90%
As a country that has always been welcoming towards Ghana, I still can't understand the beef against Nigeria. No other country in Africa or Globally supports Ghanaian music half as much as Nigerians. We don't have to but we do support Ghana music because they are our closest brothers on the continent. Rather than blame Nigerians for having "the numbers" how about being motivated by Nigerians and learning from them.
Hate or rate Nigerians, we would always be Giants of Africa, a title we never gave ourselves but other nations did. It's no coincidence we always represent Africa properly.
The reason why Ghana music is not hitting in other countries is because of the language they use, when Nigerian sings u will understand the language even if you are foreigner
@@WouroBagana-py3grmusic is not about language, music is universal not everybody understand some of the words been said in a lot of Nigeria songs but the people still enjoy the songs, music is more on production, melodies, just know that the engineering of a song matters a lot for everybody to enjoy your song
Wow❤
I wish both countries can collaborate more, we’ll be a force to reckon with.
We can not collaborate with Ghana any more and should not, their jealousy of Nigeria is way through the veins.
That is the energy we love you for..always straight and logical😂😂😂
The more they try to sabotage Nigeria the more they fall, because we dont see Ghana as our rival in anything, we are who we are and we are super proud of it.
You are the most truthful man in Ghana stay blessed love
from ninja
I guess it's a transition, back in the days in Nigeria before Internet we groove Ghana songs in clubs and every where...you've got sakordie
A legend who we love and appreciate and the rest like R2bees ❤
Check hits back in the years as well with great collaborations
We do have alot of problems in our music industry as well.we do not see Ghanaians as Rivals,we might be extremely goofy thats our vibe
..peace
Part of the problem with other African countries not just Ghana is the inability to bring out new artists. We are still talking about Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.
Just look at the new artists Naija has brought out in the last 3 years. Ayra, Asake, Omah lay, Joe boy, Pheelz, Ruger, Buju. I can go on and on.
This is one of their biggest problems!
Ghana has Blacko, Lasmid, OlivetheBoy, Camidoh, Jay Bahd, Yaw Tog, Korshi T, Amarae….
@zerosumgame3722 these people you've mentioned we do not know them none their songs. The people the other guy mentioned, where you told by their name or by their songs? Ans me if you're man enough!!!
I love Amarae out of all you’ve mentioned.
Amarae and yaw tog are not new artists
My favorite content creator, There are over 45 languages to speak but you decided to speak fact!!!
Asake has songs from 2019, but he blew up within the last 1-2yrs. He just had to wait for the right hit. Everything has its timing🙏🏿
By God's grace I'll meet sheldon one day, Love u 4L man🇳🇬♥️😂
Nigerians don't play with money.. You can see the ways Nigerian Artist are using Amapiano sound for there music, and nobody is complaint about it
I love your honesty and the energy. Let them know the world is our competition and you will conquer the world with collaborations.
Here in southern Africa we don't know the difference between Nigeria and Ghana when it comes to entertainment and culture,it is only we play their music and watch their movies under one roof.
Please Nigerians are way different from Ghana .our culture and language is different from Ghana. So u better know the difference
You’re right, I am Nigerian living in SA and what you say is true. The rest of Africa thinks we are one but I do not understand where the rivalry is coming from. I love Ghanaians, I don’t know where the hate is coming from?
What's d difference between south Africa and Zimbabwe
Differentiate between south Africa and Zimbabwe
Pro and from Nigeria I love your interview you are saying the truth bro let Ghana music fix their own stuff don't blame another people 🤷♂️
Abeg for one's ghanian are not delusional. This is real lecture to the Ghanaian industry and every Ghanaian should watch this 📹,. Kudos 👏
Ghana should learn how you have improved the quality of your video, you have always been intentional about your craft big up man, love from Nigerian fan
Point of correction Afro beat started in Nigeria, afro beat is Nigeria.
Its like a child who failed in class and was blaming his classmates for making noise in class..They should learn to work on themselves and push up..
i respect you cos you tell the truth. i am a huge music fan and mad Sarkodie and king promise fan, Ghana music just need to focus on their craft. currently they are millions of Nigerians that are talented looking for a bit of light in the music industry to blow, so the competition is mad. we don't actually look to care or compete with other countries. Fix yourself the world will recognize you.
I as a Nigerian 🇳🇬 don't even know about gatekeepers here 😂
Nah gateman we know for niaja 😂😂😂😂😂
Ghanainans should learn from Kwadwo moves. Kwadwo hustles like a Nigerian, he does not care about what you say about him. See his channel, from its humble beginnings, he is doing marvelously well today and i believe his bank account is great too. That is because he focused his energy toward improving his channel. He did not compare himself to other youtubers doing better at the time he started, rather he kept on presenting contents that address issues in an objective and unbiased manner and hoila he is where he is right now.
True. When he started Magraheb was the best Ghanaian youtube channel but he has taken the lead now
We play politics with every bit of our lives. We've got to stop that mess. Keep up bro.
Ur truth dey up like cigarettes 🚬 am A Nigerian but I leave in Ghana 🇬🇭 I really love 💕 ur content broo big ups 🙌
"If you think it is about population, give birth" bros you wicked 😂😂😂😂😂
The question is, what number does your population have to get to for your music industry to become better by this their theory? They can't say. They will tell you that it is only when their population is more than that of Nigeria, as if if to feed and give free education to secondary school level is beans. And on top of that almost free tertiary education and close to free universal healthcare. If their population is more than what it is, they will know that they have asked for what they can't handle
How much is Jamaican population, what about india or China
It’s sad stonebwoy came to Boston for his tour and you could count the number of people who were there and there’s are a lot of Ghanaians in Massachusetts but for them to support their own is very sad. When any Nigerian artist come over they get their tickets sold out and most of them are Ghanaians. I don’t have any problem with them supporting the Nigerian music But use the same support to support our Ghanaian artists too.
That's true
The songs qualities matter bro!
The supporting and helping is low.
You can’t force people to support you if you don’t drop quality music. Your music has to be catchy for you to convince people to support you. There was a time we Nigerians only listened to Ghana music cos our music was no up to standard, we just worked harder and tap from other countries sound.
Nigerians support their artist that is why Nigerians are going higher in the music industry
Thank you Kwadwo Sheldon.
Much respect !🫡
You totally said it all.
Bro, after watching like 4 different videos of yours, damnnn I had to subscribe, normally I always thought all Ghanaians just think we Nigerians are just there till death rival. I firstly watched your video during Women’s World Cup and I love it but didn’t subscribe, but bro, the algorithm brought you to me today and I watched like 3 videos and yes you got me hahaha. I’m here to stay! Thanks bro! One love

Kwadow sheldon tell Sammy flex this truth also as that man never like Nigeria and spoiling Nigeria name all the time is hate for Nigeria Artists is evil Big up Kwadow Kwadow sheldon......
Facts. Ive been blasting him for this.
Save yourself some stress and block his channel. That way, TH-cam won't show his posts on your feed. By doing so, you have denied him your views and comments. I have done this since last year, and trust me, his posts have never crossed my feeds again.@@jmbx7
Have reported his TH-cam channel so many times. Is shatta fans
Sammy Flex no get sense right from time. His analysis and what he says most times are always biased and continue to fuel hatred. I stopped watching him long time now.
Do a song that Nigerian like and bring it to Nigeria , we will vibe to it. Libianca is a Cameroonian and we vibe to her. Some Congo music come and we like the vibe to it. Even South African music we vibe.
Afrobeats artists are now being preferred by labels.
God bless you. You're wise man.

numbers, numbers, numbers. Where is a small country like Ghana, comparing itself to Nigeria. When the econony Lagos alone can swallow the whole Ghana. Lets be serious. They are our big brothers, its better to learn then compare and blame.
I agree with you 100%
Some Ghanaian Artist should come and live in Nigeria mix up with fellow artist and learn those magics Nigerians are in Ghana hustling also
I wanna see collab from SA, Naija and Ghana. These countries have great tunes.
that may not happen again
I go with Ghana 🇳🇬🇬🇭 Nigeria...not with south African 👉🇿🇦
Kwadwo,
I love you. People need to realise that they are the problems of themselves. Be creative and have attitudinal reorientation about competing with the best
we dey fool pass. that be Ghanaian mentality for you. I know this is a music discussion but the same mentality is pervasive throughout society. you go fit find Ghanaians helping Chinese destroy their waterways and land then at the same time we go vex for a Naija hair dresser's business acumen. some of our people are so backward e dey borst my mind.
Wise man
In life, getting to the top is only by hard work and winning after "competition".
The first native rapper I heard and loved was Sarkodie (*obede pum bede, I know am wrong about the spelling but that is how much I love him even when I can't understand a word from his music, I hope someone well correct and tell me the meaning)
Much love Ghanaians, had so much nice experience with 2 in Dubai 💙💯 from a 🇳🇬
Sheldon you be funny naturally 😂😂❤
Still u people will say Ghanaians should create their genre so wat is happening if Ghanaians don't crate genre it means they can't do music better than the originator right
@@antwidesmond9602it doesn't have to be new genre. Work on what existed and improve it

I feel like majority of Ghana music is heavily influenced by rap eg Asaaka boys etc.
Camido gyaki, lasmid oliv the boy is coming up so many but still
Thé gag is there are so many talented UK Ghanaian artists.
@@Willow-cw9te n still some of ur people dey call him local champion wat about that too
Unfortunately as they blame the Nigerian, the musician are busy performing and not complaining about your complains.
We don't compet with anybody but we compet with ourselves 🇳🇬🇳🇬
YOU ARE RIGHT DINGO. OUR ARTISTES NEED TO FOCUS ON THEIR CRAFTS AND STOP THE BLAME GAMES AND EXCUSES.
I feel Ghana would have been close to such pedestal if Bola Ray had adequate support. Ghana meets Naija was a stepping stone but unfortunately we lost it.
The next person to fill up O2 Arena is Blacko ❤ very soon🎉
Dey play 😆
When you justify failure, you keep failing. We're rather suppose to learn and improve so we can be better instead of trying to justify failure by blaming others. You can never succeed if you always justify your failures instead of learning from them!
Kwado! Kwado! Kwado! How many times I call you? ..................Indeed this head is big for a reason. Kudos for always being honest point blanc.
A Nigerian who spent millions of dollars and organised Afrobeat show in the US will feature artists who are popular in that area
but Ghanaians who have no stake whatsoever in the business want him to take Ghanaian unpopular artists to perform at the event regardless
Can someone say to Ghanaians
It is a business not a charity show
Bro i love ❤️ u for one thing because you always said the truth
I understand where you Ghanaian are coming from but you have to understand one thing in Nigeria we have a lot of war going on in music industry everybody wants to be on top so nobody wants to look back so you guys have to fight for yourself and leave Nigeria alone please

And the present Nigerian artists sound very different from fela!
Yet we, Nigerians, let it slide and allowed yall to attach yourselves to our narrative, history, and hard work. Yet y'all are still mad
Abeg allow to claim whatever they want claim. The source of river Niger is in Ghana, the source of everything is Ghana. Let's give it them so they can be using that to console themselves for now. Maybe sometime in the distant future when things get better for them, we can reopen the conversation because their ego may not be as fragile as it is now.

What a read. You said it all. Afronation and One Africa fest is owned by Nigerian by the way. But we put everyone on.
Around 2008 or so Ghana music was the thing the likes of VIP, Castro bollie Mzvel and many others we danced to their sound and embraced them like our own the new generation Ghana artise aee supposed to build on yhise legacies

Nigerians firstly competes with themselves before competing with others
What is the business of Ghana music with Nigeria music? Nigeria speaks Yoruba, igbo, Tiv and 520 other languages. Ghana speaks Twi and other languages. Nigeria doesn’t understand Twi and Ghana doesn’t understand Yoruba too. But Nigerians infuse Yoruba to their music and it sound so good. Nigeria sing good music. My advice to All Ghana Artists is too let the sleeping dog lie! Enough is enough! Are all these people not tired of mentioning Nigeria all the time.
