Νο...spear's design was bad. A power only oriented weapon, on a class that has TONS of power oriented weapons is a bad decision. becouse in order to make it playble compared to the other power weapons , you have to make it do a lot of dmg with a lot of defences. Why? Cus it has 0 boons and 0 condis. So there is no other way to force people to play it other than making it OP. I knew for a fact that this would happen and if u look at old crapface videos, you may find my comments about this exact thing. A typical power only oriented weapon, made overpower ON PURPOSE for the start of the launch , only to make it unplayble 2 months later ( didn't even take 2 months). i even guessed the time period.. lol That's the problem by making a weapon with 0 boons and 0 condis... hopefully the next weapon will be different.
Woaw sir got miss information at 2:40 harrier's Toss does more dmg than the Second spear skill. How ever it does not when played on spellbreaker or one adrenaline bar used cause the dmg from harrier's Toss increases each adrenaline bar means while played on spellbreaker it does around 4k hits on core warr it does around 8k instead. Wich is why this whole weapon is now better on core warrior than it is on spellbreaker xP. Fun fact the same goes for staff^^ so staff/spear is kind of realy good on core warr actually. You realy should try it yourself ;P
But i compaired Harriers toss to 3rd not 2nd spear skill - which has the same base dmg and scaling as 1st lvl HT. (- the passive) which shouldn't be the case, as thease two are ment to fulfill wildly different purpouses. Also term "cathes up to" is chosen here very specifically to portray that the gab between thease is small. Spear was stripped of what made it work, Core having big damage lets it linger a bit but it will only stay as long as warrior mains remain stubborn enough to play an underpowered spec. (That's quite a long actually)

I had to take a break from gw2, spear got me to finally enjoy playing warrior in wvw. then it got that 1st unannounced nerf and I was like ok, I can't still work with this, then a 2nd nerf and now it's just on the trash pile. Meanwhile chrono spear can burst 4 times in a row 😂
Bad timing with this video, my man. No matter how nice and reasonable it is. Anet is too close to their Christmas two months break. And after that -- it's too close to the next expansion, so obviously all man-hours will have to go into making the whatever gimmick is supposed to sell that one. Janthir Wilds development time is done and over, time to start the hype-machine for the next shiny thing on the conveyor belt!
I do not understand this at all. Spend Time and Money to Release a Trash Spear. Spend more time and money to rework it. Then just delete it from the game in 5 minutes :D Instead of just nerfing SPB a bit I just cannot bring myself to play ranked sPVP anymore. The Matchamking makes me feel like im not in control. 1 out of 10 games is competitive. The rest of them are a stomp. I've been chilling in wvw and im having a total blast

mesmer has been mid for years. much worse things in the game ruining pvp
if mesmer is mid, then half of the classes are literally unplayable, becouse the purple sucker haven't left the top 4 since EoD.
