    How do you break down the triglycerides into glycerol and fatty acids with hydrolysis?

      By heating the triglycerides with sodium hydroxide.(dissolved in water). That will lead to hydrolysis (called saponification in this case) with formation of sodium salt of fatty acid (soap) and glycerol.

      Although it’s a biology question but I’ll answer it for you 😊
      Fats are hydrolysed by lipases (enzymes that catalyse the hydrolysis) in adipose tissues in a process called lipolysis.
      Fatty acids and glycerol are then released into the blood stream.
      The FA reaches the liver or muscles where they are used to make AcetylcoA and then ATP which are the main source of energy in the body.
