One tip not mentioned was the power outages in Luxor and other smaller cities. Unless you are staying in a luxury hotel with a generator, you could have power outages for 1-2 hours every day..

As a video game lover, the thing I didn’t like was the slow internet in Egypt, especially in Luxor...it was pretty good in New Cairo though..
