update: I've worn this foundation 3 times now! It does get a bit dewy/darker after a FULL 8+ hours. I'm going to add some yellow corrector to mine to warm up the shade and hopefully that will prevent it from turning redder when worn for longer periollolically times

When you were stunned with the pump on the drugstore foundation you legit had me lost and then you pointed out you don't have the luxury of being able to try many drugstore foundations and my privilege hit me like a bus and all cause of a damn foundation pump. Jackie you're deff right, when I got into makeup 6 yrs ago maybelline age rewind was a concealer that everyone was raving about and I remember going to search for it multiple times and couldn't find my shade... I didn't realize those were the only colors in the line. I'm so happy they expanded their shade range, I can't wait to try!

Maybelline needs to hire Jackie for an ad. I don't normally buy full coverage foundations but I want to try this foundation. BTW, it's about time that Maybelline offered darker shades in their Instant Age Rewind Concealer. It's been a staple for me for ages.
What I need to know is why its hard to create darker shades of foundation for people of colour (mind me I'm not an mua) BUT don't they use the same formula for that foundation line then work with different pigments and add some colour in gradually? Like I'm not black but I'm pissed that brown/black people have to be a second consideration in the makeup world :/

Oh my gosh, Jackie Aina is like the Holy Grail, when she pulled out that hydro boost water gel moisturizer I about died, I started using that about 2 weeks ago and it is like a container of magic, how is it possible for her to literally like all of the same ds products I like and we both have oily skin and are close in skin tone (I use her as a reference for shades)

I’ve been hearing about Maybelline age rewind since 1994 and its such a tragedy that they only decided to extend the shades in this 2018 because I reviewed it and I actually really love it!

I'm so glad they added more shades to the concealers, because the lightest shade was REALLY dark in comparison to my skin, and the darkest shade was way too light for people with darker complexions. But there still aren't many colours

And secondly, I can't afford Huda, and don't want that. Just because it may work for me, doesn't mean I should be limited to it. Just like darker colours. Just because a certain brand works, doesn't mean people should settle for it

The Age Rewind has more than two shades?! Omg I swear to God the only shades that reach my country are light and medium moyen (a miracle that it matches my skin).

Or perhaps regulations on specific individual ingredients, as the ingredients can vary slightly in different shades of the exact same product (different countries also have restrictions regarding the smallest things sometimes). Have you tried contacting Maybelline or the corporate office of your local stockists?

xamyx Where I live we have some issues with some foreign brands getting into the market here. There are a few brands but there's no in between (you either buy Maybelline or Dior lmao) and the shades are terrible hahaha. I didn't try to contact anyone because it's out of my control haha.

I had the same problem with that foundation. When I took it home from the store I thought it was about one shade light, but the next day I still wore it (because I get like $20 for babysitting so that was like a lot of my money) and by the time I actually got to school it was two shades dark and incredibly pink.

I have been binge watching you and I really appreciate your opinions on foundation. I am filipino and italian and by no means are of a deep complexion but even with my medium toned skin it is sometimes SO HARD to find a color with my rightt undertone.
