I really like the videography and overall quality, but it really felt like I just watched 13 minutes of advertisement, a teaser rather than hearing stories and pains from the cyclists themselves. It felt rather disconnected from their stories.
If you look further into what Basajaun is, you could tell that's a cultural entity and the Basque Country has one of the oldest languages in the world. Working in television for more than 20 years, I appreciate all films as a cinematographer and editor. When I watched this and other films - I immediately wanted to participate and pass by myself. I was in Paris in august 2023 and traveled Paris-Brest-Paris. A couple of months ago, the organizers came up with the idea of a film about the event. It looks like a children's movie, no drive, music - tragedy, no quality, very bad movie :( I really, really want to thank you for all your videos about Basajun and other competitions and I think someday I will participate with a bicycle. :) :) :)
Cinematography is gorgeous, hard to go wrong with such beautiful landscapes.
