Painting a grim dark Chaos Knight for Warhammer 40k, without an airbrush

This is IT!!!
Finally we are putting paint to plastic and finishing of the Chaos Knights we started a few weeks ago.
I deem this to be a relatively simple enough paintjob with little flair or fanfare but the end results are dark and grimy and quite pleasing to my heretical eyes.
