Video suggestion: Make a VM that shares the C: drive (or even more things) with the host. I know that it might be pretty difficult, because most VM software have protection for this, but I don’t think it’s impossible.
1:37 A lot of computers support XP and 10 at the same time. From the 4 computers I have at home, 3 support both. They are a bit old, but I think they would support booting a windows 10 VM.
My main PC supports all versions starting with XP, from the motherboard to the cpu, I don't think my GPU is supported thought because the GPU is a lot newer than my motherboard and while it's still compatible, the GPU Drivers are gonna be a problem.
My main PC also does it has Xeon E3 1230V2 on an H61 MB. It also has a GTX 750ti which I believe has drivers for Windows XP. My other older C2D laptop also supports XP and 10 and I currently have Windows 10 running on it.

I think he meant Sandy Bridge, however I think Haswell was the last generation CPU to support Windows XP. I think ideally for a computer thats able to run both Windows XP and Windows 10 natively, you would want a PC from between 2007 to about 2012. Though not one inside the other, I do have a Dell Precision m6400 laptop from around early 2009 that I was able to set up as a dual boot of Windows 10 and Windows Vista.
Hey @Enderman, the Core i3-2350M which you said it was a Haswell-based CPU is not true, it is actually a Sandy Bridge-based CPU. Sandy Bridge architecture has native support for Windows XP while Haswell architecture does not.

Performance was terrible due to the single GB I gave the OS and due to the only two cores my processor had (an intel core 2 duo), but was still fun (and some years later I even made a dualboot of win95 and win11 on that pc...)

I once dualbooted Windows 10 and XP on a N270 netbook. Both OS’s worked though Windows 10 performance was terrible at best so I downgraded Windows 10 to Windows 7 (long live Win 7)

Nesting VMs is far easier with Hyper-V. That said, Hyper-V isn't available on XP, but you might get away with VMware in your Hyper-V XP. Maybe.
