If Mr ping would like to be what he set out to be may be ve blesses by God to listen that China has got a fare better roll to play in this world and its not to build sea defences in the south China Sea its roll its much greater I'd love to help Mr ping embrace all the wonders of china's mitty nations ability to be much more loved and peaceful and set this terrible miserable use of great wonderful chines power that could enhance the world for much better peace and prosperity for everyone's use to be incredibly thankful to China over all it could do when my ping could redirect its mighty power for greatness he set out to make China a peaceful nation much loved across the world over again
Still needs tamed I know the answer to not only save it from disaster and increase its use and even more still dam shame how it could be seen as much better still ever it could even bring much more prosperous and riches to China and solve so many problems even in other places
Not sure that I would agree that any party which is prepared to ignore sound advice on the basis of its leader having declared the person who provided it a "rightist" can accurately be described as "having got it right". The penchant of all psychopathic leaders like Mao towards distorting reality invariably results in woe. See January 6th 2020.
The truth should be judged by historical records, not politicized narratives. They might have stumbled a bunch but they did get it right eventually. All governments make mistakes due to political blinders. Anyone who has lived thru 2003 knows how many people were silenced for "disloyalty" in refusing to support the US invasion of Iraq.
mao isn't perfect, no leader was. to understand china you have to look at it in context to the chaos and instability that led to leaders like mao. china was ruled by emperor and military dictators before the CCP tookover. There were no institution ready to address scientific and environmental challenges. the leaders themselves took up those challenges and implemented policies that often failed. China has gone through countless reforms to address these problems and todays china is the result of those reforms
@@levelazn I was absolutely disposed to think well of Mao. After all, Mao said such nice things about my cousin Norman in his little red book! But having read quite extensively about the man, I have altered my opinion. He did not have anything that one could recognize as a conscience, and allowed his ego to push him to harm an astonishing number of fellow humans. Remember Master Kong, the first recorded enunciator of that fundamental human principle: "Do not do to others that which you would hate done to yourself."
@@davidford694 yeah. That Kong phrase has been practiced by the Chinese Thus far. 40 years without a single shot fired in any wars while China developed economically
"But, changing winds in Cino-Sovet relationship caused Stalin to completely recall the team by 1960..." (Stlin died in 1953!)
came to say this. and the sino-soviet split was caused by maos distrust of stalins successor
Stalin is very loyal to sino-soviet friendship and their ideological ties, he would never do such a thing even until his death in 1953
Wow, first time I hear Chinese politic way of thinking perfectly translated into English
Nuances. Rare these days, and very welcome.
Zhou Enlai... Fixing up Mao's mess since 1949.
It's still there and it's doing what it's supposed to be doing. They even planted more trees along the river. It's beautiful.
this Revenge of the Silt is the best joke yet this video is less views than others of this channel. So sed
"Caused Stalin to completely recall the team by 1960." Um, who and when?
Seems to be an editing issue. The Sino Soviet split caused the Soviet team to have to leave China in 1960.
just a question; is your work related to dams or do you just like dams?
I just like dams.
@@Asianometry oh ok. btw, i appreciate your contents man.
Very balanced analysis. Thanks for this
Thank you for sharing your intellect and knowledge..👏👏
Stalin died in 1953. He couldn't have recalled the Soviet engineers in 1960.
Fred Pearce covers this neatly in "When The Rivers Run Dry"
And at the end zhou enlai has step in again.
How many dams are there in yellow river currently?
I think 3
China has so much wonderful power it could begin to lead the way by leading by the best example ever
How Stalin could recall the team by 1960?!!

It was Khrushchev, not Stalin.

Give it to the Japanese to manage😅
