Well done Chris, I'm very impressed. I make wine every year but not at home. You have all the equipment and knowledge to do it all by yourself. My wife and I de stem, crush, bottle, label and cork but we rely on the an enologist calculate the yeast and watch it while it ages in the barrel. We have a blast making it !!!! Enjoy the fruits of your labor !!!! pun intended 😎🍷
23 bottles of strawberry wine with your own labels too! There appears to be no limits to your talents Mr Cruze!!! I'm glad you're waiting till Christmas to crack one of these gorgeous bottles open because that's about how long it's going to take me to get to Louisiana from here I can't wait to try some 🍷😋😅👍!!!
Nicely done. I help my neighbor every year and we make strawberry, rhubarb and grape. We have been known to make two varieties. Bottles with just wine and bottles with a mix of wine and shine lol. Thanks for sharing your method. Take care.
Chris I think we could be friends! You bass fish with your boys and you make your own wine. I have 3 little fishing partners and have been home brewing beer for several years. If you ever want to make a drive up to Ruston we could combine our skills and make a 10 gallon batch of cider! 🍻
I used to make wine by crushing grapes. I used to love the smell when it was fermenting 😁. Nothing wrong with 13.5% alcohol. That opaque cylinder would bug me a lot lol.
I think I would run the trimmed strawberries thru a dishpan full of fresh water to remove any potential funk before I run them thru the food processor, but that's just me. I've frequently heard that rinsing vegetables and fruit is a good thing to remove any potential pesticide or herbicide residue.
Don't think I've said congrats on getting over 7k. I love a good fruit wine. And it's cool you showed us this process, but I believe we've determined I'm lazy. So I think I'll just go to a winery and buy mine lol. I bet this strawberry wine tastes great, though. And you have quite the collection.
Love those bottle labels Chris. After the Zombie Apocalypse currency will be a thing of the past but Bartering will be the way the world works. Homemade wine will always be a high value commodity. Better stock up in the bottled ingredients now, I think it’s closer then we know. Why wait for the Apocalypse, I’ll trade you some Northern Chaga for a bottle of your wine ???? It’s best when collected in the winter months , so your wine should be aged just about right by then.
Did someone say wine........ Eli is a smart one. My step dad, and I made some peach wine years ago. It would put a good drunk on ya. Great video Chris 🤘
