Just got my 4 1 gallon carboys, a couple food grade 5 gallon buckets, and one of those testers. I'm gonna be following this exact recipe for my first go at it. I'll let you know how it goes
That could probably be done too. I would think you may end up with more particles to settle out after fermentation but maybe the end result would be similar.
Hey that’s a good question. I’ve heard of that being done but have never tried it myself. I have a hunch if you can get the specific gravity around 1.090 - 1.110 at the beginning, it would probably serve the same purpose. Hope you have good luck if you try it!
I have a juicer, would I just juice the same amount of fruit that I would use if I were steeping, then top off with water to get my full gallon? Or could I just use straight concentrate?
Yes I’ve seen videos of people that used concentrate/juice instead of the actual fruit. You’d just have to get your water/sugar levels where you want it for your starting specific gravity. 👍

Good luck 👍👍
Just curious…if their partially frozen, why would you not instead put them through the blender then into the strainer bag? Would that work?

FG-SG/.776
With your numbers you should be around 13.5%ABV.
Have you tried kiwis?
Never tried those but would always be worth a try
I'm gonna make some pear wine, could I use honey in place of sugar? If so do I substitute with the same amount? Thanks!

If you use honey then that’s called mead not wine.
