BUT, as interesting and amusing as some of these controversial videos are, I really enjoy learning from you, because you know a ton about Linux and how to use it in a practical, daily driver kind of way. Your call'em like you see'em manner of speech is just a bonus. Keep up the good work and remember there are some of us who are here to get your insights on new technologies, new products, security, and other issues. Thanks for the time you put into your videos!
In my opinion you are just realistic. You know Linux has problems but the same can be said for Windows and MacOS. You are not like many delusional Linux warriors
I feel the same, I don’t care to engage with this type of Linux community. I don’t mind what kent says a lot of the time but his fans can be super weird. Especially that gulagTH-cam white supremacist.
It just depends on what you want to do. If you want to make content that you like you should do it not for view but for you. If you want to make a most watched video, then do drama videos. I would watch some light weight tech videos after a long day in the office.
The question is though, what can we really do about it? These kind of people will always exist and they will behave like this no matter what. They couldn't care less about our opinions, obviously. That's the sad reality I'm afraid.
I agree with you. Have not seen your poll, but count me with the 37%. But it is not only the toxic people you should shout at. Every forum has moderators, and they can shut their mouth.
You are having the same "problem" as Eli the Computer Guy have complained about for years. No views on technology stuff all the views on comentary. For a couple of months ago, he once again dropped the comentary content and the other day he mentioned why, when people asked for it's return. He said it made him sick in the long run. Because even though it was easy content to make (and in his case easy money) he still had to think about what he wanted to say and dealing with all that negativity eventueally rubed off on him. I don't think you are imune to negavity/crazyness in the long run and that is my main concern about this issue in generel.
