Since switching to linux, you have became one of my favorite youtubers, i like foss but im not a foss only guy i just appreciate it, i still use steam and discord, and am so greatful things actually work on linux now, I'm upset with microsoft and their current direction and would probably switch back if they were to put the user first again and not adds and data stealing, but thats me and ima "you do you" person, i love that you don't preach to your viewers that they have to do things your way and how informative you are, I'm not a programmer or coder just a ignorant tinkeror lol, ty for the content
I'm a retired developer, I designed a special purpose OS for Air Traffic Control, that as been used 15 years till that 16-bits mini computer was discontinued. Since retirement (1-1-11) I use Ubuntu, I never felt the need to look at the code or correct errors in the code. Why? I know how complex an OS is and how much time it takes to understand that specific implementation. I prefers other things to do, like dancing the merengue and bachata, it is easier to learn and it is more fun :) :)
I love your point about RedHat, SuSE and Canonical. Therefore, even as a Linux fanboy, I love to stick to those big fellas. Because THAT's where the personell, financial and dev power is.
Is there any normal computer user web site, where normal people can share their feedback with developers who actually give a fuq what normal people expect from a reasonable Windows/MacOS alternative? Or are people with actually practical suggestions stuck with the endless pleading these autistic geniuses to stop eating their Crayolas, cause the colorful diarrheas aren't gonna simply go away on their own? It's not just stressing the importance of making a terminal-dependent PC OS, as Windows, MacOS, or Android, cause not everybody has the resources, time, and willpower to become an IT expert specialized in Linux. Really, is there anywhere people can talk to someone reasonable?
I feel these people you try to reason with are just stuck up a-holes, too concerned about maintaining their intellectual superiority over everyone else, due to their Linux terminal expertise, than creating something everybody would actually be willing to switch to.
Just bc you can dosen't mean people will do it is something you can't hammer in to the foss brains. Theoretically i could download open source graphic designing and animating softwares, and stop what i would like to learn another programing language, study the source code, fix the terrible ui and work flow, implement new feautures that supposed to be standard even free mobile apps, and that for tree or for time for everything from drawing to video editing my animation just to get worse performance than if i were saving a little bit of money (witch is half of the amount i would spend on a notebook) to buy cheaper propietary alternatives for adobe products that were esspecially made for amateurs/semi professionals in small garage studios that works on youtube videos and mobile games. Like Moho, Affinity, Davinchi
It's better to use a OS that copies your files to it's cloud so the owner of that OS can steal anything it wants without you being able to notice it? In reality YOUR OS of choice is only able to be on the web today due to the FOSS 1% people.. Your channel is run on a platform that would not exist without that..

People don’t contribute to FOSS because they can’t do it at the beach. Free Public WiFI at every beach! /s
don't feed the troll.
