The "marmot granddad" of the Austrian Alps

  • Far up in the Austrian mountains lies the refuge of Walter and Katharina Radl. The couple has lost its heart to marmots. They first took care of orphaned young animals 30 years ago. In the meantime, their house has developed into a marmot paradise. Three times a day they feed the rodents with carrots, oatmeal and other treats.
