Why not solvent glue the fittings together instead of 1 screw?

Any issues with water just sitting in the pipe after the rain is over?

Hi Natalie. The pipe is open and does not hold water. Thank you for watching our video. Tom

can i extend downspout into a valley with grate drain between me and my neighbors house or should i keep the emitter on my lawn? its about 6 feet slope to bottom of valley (12 ft from house to house) also does the grate catch a lot of debris with it being open like that during rainfall? thank you

Thank you for your comment. It’s hard to say without seeing your house. I would keep the discharge on your property. The grates can be removed and cleaned if necessary.

UK guy living in Japan here. I nothing about your local regulations but I wondered why didn’t you take the water completely away to the street?

It just drains into a hole in the ground? Why not do a popup emitter or something and let it flow down the lawn?

We stopped using pop ups years ago. Too many problems. The grates work much better for us
